Usually when switching characters, the character that wasn't in use stats reset to whatever lifestyle was chosen when the character was made. They go back up when the character is loaded.

Thought I'd share this in here with people who appreciate this sort of stuff. Not meant as a brag in any way, just excited to tell you all that I'm on the verge of reaching 1500 this weekend. It's been a great journey, and while none of this really matters, I've found it a fun goal to work towards. Know a lot of people in here are very familiar with that feeling.

Congrats, @555-We-Tip. I've stagnated and am "still" at rank 1057. Most of my friends have moved on from the game at this point so I don't have many people to play with. I'd have gone to RDR2 as well but my computer needs an upgrade to run it in a playable manner.

 

I do enjoy running GTA:O once in a while and playing with randoms is a laugh but my days of playing it seriously are long gone.

1047 myself, it's almost uncanny how we are on a similar path at times it seems, lol.

 

Likewise though. Of the time I've played lately, 90% of it has just been some peaceful freemode bliss with the weekly new vehicle and popping on for peyote's and such too.

 

But congrats to all new members here though. Enjoy the kicks from the triple cash races with pride.

I'm not updating the OP any more or adding people to the list, just to let you know. Just checked, and I'm level 1330 and still enjoy a few hours in the evening. It's been over six years now, and next year will be the EIGHTH different year that GTA online has existed in. That's a seriously world record-breaking nuts statistic if you ask me. I think we're all ready for the next game, right? I love all my cars, clothes, statistics, properties, etc., but I'm ready to go back to basics, although I won't go RDR2 and repeat it all over again (albeit in the wild west). It's modern day GTA online or broke for me.

 

Let's hope the Christmas update is good. I'm always excited about new DLC.

I will get RDR 2 as soon as the thing will be available on Steam or as soon as it will be discounted. But online modes from R* are no-go for me.

I don't know how much or how interested some things entertain you in this game, but the new addition to Online has added the Peyote plants, offering 5000RP for just eating one.

 

In the short time they've been around, they are clearly invaluable for cactus (RP) farming.

 

How they work is pretty simple. You can only eat the cactus that spawns at that particular location from the last 48 minutes; all the others are fair game. You can hunt out the others in the meantime! You will be transformed into a random animal until you quit or die as the animal, and will always be respawned at the nearest hospital. The collectible map guide can help you find around 20 in the city in the first half hour, almost double the efficiency of that to stunt races, that offer a cap of 6100/6200RP solo (or 12000RP for an actual win with a full room of racers?)

 

My first speedrun for all land-based cacti (gave up getting more after 48 minutes had elapsed), I managed to eat 36 Peyote’s before the first one returned. That’s 180,000RP. If I raced 13 times in a jump based stunt race for 58 minutes I would earn only half that. There's going to be a lot more 1000 rank players now. The guide I was using for my first peyote hunt had me scatter out randomly in different locations, which meant getting to the next took longer than expected, but I suspect there is a strategic method to eat even more within 48 minutes.

 

It's kinda fun to mess around with the animals in Online (you can passive beforehand - bear in mind this means you cant bite people). In public rooms everyone thinks you're hacking when they see a dog. I’ve noticed eating them attracts trolling from mk2 hunters and menu users. An invite/friend session would be safer but the looks from new players are priceless.

 

EDIT: Seems these were rotating special limited time event Halloween consumables. They have all since been removed.

Play single player because it's a worthy experience, but you decide on online. For me, it's totally scary that I could again put in thousands and thousands of hours and a FULL year of my life into a video game.

For those who want to rank up fast, collect the Peyote Plants. They give you 5000 RP every time you collect them. What I'm currently doing is this: Complete a Mrs Baker work mission, which are paying double (around 4000 RP every time you complete them), then collect a Peyote Plant, then do another work mission, which should be available again, then collect another Peyote Plant, rinse, repeat. The cool-down between each time you can do a work mission is about 2 minutes? Somewhere around there. So you're getting around 9000 RP every 5 minutes or so, depending on how quick the work mission is and how long you spend finding the plant.

 

Every time you change session, the plants get reset and will spawn back in their usual places again.

Yes, you're right. Texting you with the single word "twat" is abuse and, in hindsight, I shouldn't have done it, but those are my feelings towards you and I didn't expect you to report something so petty, but you did. It's done now and we are forum enemies.

 

I will not honor your request, and I have removed you from the LL1KC because of your disrespectful attitude. I have since asked for a thread lock because I no longer update or add members to the LL1KC.

 

Thanks, folks for your continued support and for the many years of participation in this thread. GTA online is over six years old and you've all had ample opportunity to reach level 1,000. Maybe Rockstar have learned from their mistake and will honor this achievement in the future or in other versions of GTA online. Thanks again and take care!
