In 2 days of moderate playing I've jumped from 1354 to 1357. Without double RP on stunts (which is often triple or quadruple), that would take me weeks now.

I am a day 1 player and still only rank 642. It's taken me around a week to get from 639 albeit playing less often. 

 

I guess my target is 750 and even that's gonna take some hard graft. I can forget about 1000 as it seems I am averaging 120-130 ranks a year and with more RP needed for higher ranks that's another 3+ years for me to hit 1000 lol

The double RP is a huuuge help, especially with the stunt races.

 

 

I even managed to get 20k RP in one race:

 

 

20k RP is equivalent to about 3 bars, or close to it. Currently sitting at 948 at the moment. With the double pay, I am able to rank up 3 levels a day. Doing Sightseer and Headhunter back and forth helps, too, with both fetching you 40k+ in cash and 4k+ in RP.

Back in the day on RDR1,  I would stay on Rank 50 and never Legend up until Rockstar done Triple XP weekend.

 

Then grind pikes basin =  back at rank 1, one round at Pikes Basin...… and straight up to rank 8.

Huh, "...the final week of GTA online" ?

 

Maybe it feels like the end for you and many others, but GTA online isn't going anywhere. I will be playing RDR2 from next weekend onward just like millions of others, but it's just another game and doesn't take over from GTA online.

Likewise Jenkiii. I'm on temporary leave to ride west but I'm certainly not giving up on this game now I'm set up sweet from this year's vastly improved gaming for me. I hope it gets better of course moving forward across both games but I'll be back and forth after that initial spell.

 

Got myself a nest egg and up to rank 910 almost so not far off now and with my cars ready to roll, it'll be a long while before I get bored of racing here or just driving about.

 

It'll be my virtual Westworld.

And I didn't play a single x2 stunt race during the last event week. Actually delayed ranking up by playing my 2nd character (only rank 255). And no, I don't plan on reaching rank 2000.

Give you guys a lil tip which works for myself and friends....when it's double cash n rp for ceo work if you stay in the lobby after double expires,it continues...it's 26/10 and 5:30 pm here,still getting double cash and rp for ceo work and challenges......destroying the levels and bank account here.

Also..if you wanna smash rp but are too lazy to work for it join a low level friend's ceo,leave console on overnight.....12,000 easy rp/hour.

That's impressive, and I'm with you... 2000 is just too much of a commitment. I think between 1500 and 1700 will be my final goal.

 

At level 1360 currently, and that's barely halfway to 2000 based on RP.

Been grinding the ever living sh*t out of the Client jobs lately (Robbery In Progress, Targeted Data, and Diamond Shopping). They usually fetch you around +4000 RP, which is pretty good, considering how quick you can complete them, especially with a group friends, which really helps with avoiding the cool downs.

 

Sitting at 970 right now. Just 30 levels to go.

I definitely won't, it's madness.

I'm currently on 62 million and level 1186. To get to level 2000 you need 146 million - that's another 84 million for me, or a life-absorbing/destroying seven more years of grind. I know it's possible and that some people can do it, but not me.

Just remember that the point of this thread is to celebrate reaching level 1000 instead of being embarrassed about it, and NOT to encourage people to spend their whole lives playing GTA online instead of going to school or college, getting jobs, getting into relationships, or enjoying life and having other interests.

This thread was started because many of us know we play GTA online too much, but still want to say hey, it's my life, do what you want and be proud of it. But it's not about getting to 2K or 3K or 4K and wasting your entire life because of some abstract achievement. Get it into perspective.

I commend all of you and regret to inform that while this was a goal of mine... it is unlikely it will ever happen now that this game rests permanently in the shadows of RDR 2. I wish I would have gotten there before it was too late for me to care enough to finish.

1000 is probably the only real milestone in GTAO past getting the platinum trophy. I'll always feel slightly singed by never getting there, but there's simply no point now. I hit 926. I'll probably never go over 950

Anybody who did this legit, without Criminal Records boosting or what-have-you... you got the final notch on the belt.

Ok so it's cool to spend a long time online to get to level 1,000 but it isn't cool to get to level 2,000. I'm very enthusiastic about the game,still enjoying it but your attitude has now changed.It's cool that a few other members here have gotten to level 2,000 but you've now decided that it's simply just too hard for you...no more commitment.And what's with this "wasting an entire life" bullsh*t? If most of us who play gta aren't playing gta were playing another video game or "wasting our entire lives" infront of a pc or laptop or ipad or smartphone and sitting there getting osteoperosis with necks bent to a 90 % angle on social media crap.

I happen to have 4 part time jobs, i go out a fair bit and love working out but i also love my gta time....and all of this i AM proud of. Get that into perspective.

Don't like what i say,too much for you then kick me out of this club. sh*tloads of users here ain't even legit to level 1,000...used rp glitches to get to where they are.

I got to my level fully legitimately,no mods,no rp glitches but who cares,right because i'm just wasting my entire life.
