I've only been inching up gradually, as I've just stopped playing the game much. Main char just a hair below 1054, second guy at 369. I think I'm at like 1192 total. Game just really feels dead now.

It has felt really dead the past couple of weeks, something I had never felt about this game before.

Hey guys. Has any ones crew rank got stuck at 999 on the character select screen?

My crew rank ingame keeps going up and its been a couple weeks so Im wondering if 999 is just the limit on this screen or if my game is broke as usual lol

it's like that in lobbies and i guess in the character selection screen, but it shows the correct rank in the players list in pause - online - players.

In response to people saying the game feels a bit dead/stale right now, this isn't helped by Rockstar's poor marketing strategy and the way they give us a billed feature every Tuesday which turns out to be a few button presses and repeat 2x bonuses on the stuff we've recently had. They need to rustle it up a bit instead of giving us yet more Target Mode, for example, which hardly anyone likes anyway.

Even though I've been playing less, I've still made good progress. Main char is a hair shy of 1060, second character 372, total like 1198. Found an even slightly more profitable way to grind as well; added 25k an hr to my profit just by changing the order of things & making playlists for myself.

Loving the double hotring races, the money is nice but the RP IS GOLD JERRY, GOLD! Close to 1200 total, 1062 main.

 

Hit 1062 main. Closing in on level 1200 aggregate, Also spent $9m on aircraft for my second char today, fun stuff.

Excellent point. You should never be ashamed of what you do with your free time, and committing thousands of hours to GTA online is no different to any other person who watches movies, TV, browses the Internet, plays video games in general, reads books, etc. It's your free time to play GTA online on a daily/regular basis and as you wish. Admittedly, I do sometimes feel a little embarrassed about my addiction, but if we can't discuss that achievement on a specific GTA online forum, in a thread specifically designed for this, where else can we discuss it?

Got to overall 1203, main guy a hair under 1065. I'm teaching my wife how to drive, and she did a few hotring races for me while I was doing errands. To see an extra 20k RP after being gone for 3 hours was great.

Sounds like you are taking full advantage of the hotring races while the double rewards are active. Nice work. Where do you generally place in the races? Are you winning the majority? I've only ever won a few of these type as I find the dirty races populate this mode more than ever plus when it is double all the better quality racers are more active anyway so it is harder to win/place highly.

No glitches, a hair under 64 million RP, only began June of 15... no really benefit to me getting higher at this point but congrats to you.

Fun story of the day. The last few days I've been playing in default assisted-aim lobbies to get more activity in Hotring Races, and it works. Lobbies fill up quite quickly, and there are sometimes up to 30 players bashing their way around the track, except for the confused nut-beams like 'ohDIRTYoooooh' and 'RaceSquidger' and other strange people who spend hours going round the wrong way and wreaking havoc for reasons only known to them, so I naturally kick the culprits and move on. But sometime later I get the response, 'take your mods off and stop cheating and I'll stop driving like a twat' (kinda thing). Try and figure?. Obviously I'm a 'cheat' for getting past level 1000 and doing so well in races, right?
