I reckon there must be legit billionaires out there... as I've made about 500 million over the last 3 yrs 8 months, mostly playing in the evenings, averaging about 3.5 hours per day.

It's going to be rare, putting 7-8 hours into GTA online every day of your life for nearly four years, but it's possible.

Thanks for sharing. Interesting how the increments from 1-100 don't really follow much of a pattern

As I Edge ever closer to the 1000 club I would like to become living proof that your rank is absolutely in no way associated with how good you are as I'm close to 1000 I would like to point out to everybody that I am still as crap at this game as I have always been and probably ever will be.

This rank can weigh heavy round your neck in regards of other players expectations of you

It's true. I'm a great racer but a pretty average shooter. I often lose 1-on-1 battles in freeroam and I imagine many assume I'm a modder.

I saw a rank 2000+ guy once in a freeaim lobby on xbox one. I think he was legit because he did not have any glitched invisible body parts or an insanely high kd ratio (his was around 2 I believe)

Since my post in this thread I've gone up about 200 ranks. I'm now almost ACTUALLY at rank 1000 on my one character, and not just by combining both of mine. Soon I won't be in this thread on a technicality.

I always rescue Anna with the Buzzard and without firing a single rocket, if she could speak, she would approves for sure this method over a penible travel in a chrome Kuruma.

oh ok, I ignored this one. There are still almost infinite NPC respawn in some contact missions you can exploit, but thats not 100 RP/seconde.

It took me an absolute eternity (four months) to level up the remaining 68 levels, from 932-1000.

 

20 full days of my life, out of 120. That's 17% of the time, including sleep, playing GTA online.

 

Sad, a waste, addicted?

 

For those of you interested in stats, you need 47,551,880 RP to get to Level 1000, but you need 146,126,850 RP to get to level 2000. That's more than treble the amount, and the equivalent of getting to Level 1000 on three separate characters. Can it be done? Yes, of course, but you would need another 8-10 years to get there at the rate of current play, and I'm bored out of my wits being confined to Los Santos.

All these rank stats can kind of tell you how good or bad a player is but there is one stat that continues to worry me that is 100% accurate everytime I see it and that is the life wasted playing a computer game or(time spent in gta online) 304 days OMFG

Don't worry about it too much, mate. Every minute of your life that's not actually producing something is time wasted. Every minute of your life spent asleep, eating food, taking a shower, sitting on the loo, riding in a car/bus/train to work, watching films, listening to music, PLAYING VIDEO GAMES, having sex or whacking off, doing sport, writing on these forums, etc, etc, is time 'wasted'. Anything that doesn't sustain you and your family or produce income is time 'wasted'.

 

We just waste our time playing GTA online instead of watching Netflix or posting useless photos on Instagram or twittering nonsense on Twitter. There's nothing wrong with that, as long as you're a good person and your loved ones are taken care of.

Who cares, let people live their lives however they want. If a person decides to spend that much time in a videogame, and they don't need a job because they're wealthy or something, then that's perfectly fine. At least these people are spending their time on things that they actually enjoy.

What do you guys even do in the game to reach that high of a level? Im just level 270, been playing since PC release and i feel like im tired of playing gamemodes/grinding already.
