Your gaming confessions

Recommended Posts

I'll start.:)

-Uncharted 4 was the first Uncharted game I ever finished and ranks as my favourite action/adventure game. I would've bought my PS4 just for it. I love everything about it.

-The N64 is largely foreign to me. The only game I ever remember playing was a 007 game years ago, but other than that I have very little to no experience with the console/games. Infact I've never owned Nintendo console.

Just a GBA and DS.

-I managed to get a copy of Manhunt before it was banned over here in about 2005. Still in newish condition too. The only XBOX game I have now.

-I was prone to breaking the centre disc holder (I guess that's what it was) on my PS1 and had to get it repaired several times.

-My first GTA experience came from *gasp* playing a pirate copy of GTA 1.

-Resident Evil 2 scared the crap out of me so much as a kid I couldn't be in the same room as anyone else playing it much less playing it myself.

-Never played a single Final Fantasy game.

-My first console was a DS Lite.

-I've never played much of the 3D GTAs. In fact my first GTA was IV.

-I played Saints Row before GTA.

-I was so scared of Wolfenstein 3D that I could never play it alone. I also played through Spear of Destiny entirely using god mode.

-I've never completed TBoGT, only TLaD.

-I've never played Red Dead Redemption.

Sir Michael

I got a few on mind right now:

  • I've never done a full-blown evil playthrough in Fallout. I do bad things like murder and theft, but nothing really noteworthy. I think the most evil thing I've really done was firing the nukes in Lonesome Road. The loot was so worth it.
  • I almost never use chems in Fallout. The furthest I'll go is Buffout for when I'm overencumbered or Mentats for Intelligence checks, but everything gets sold for caps.
  • I like Destiny, it's a really fun game to play despite the lack of content.
  • I haven't picked up a prostitute in GTA since San Andreas.
  • I didn't play Ocarina of Time until 10th Grade, which was about 8 years ago.
  • I didn't own an N64 growing up, I mostly played on the PS1.

IlikeLatinaTits

Whilst I like quite a few Ubisoft games Tom Clancy's Wildlands is the first Ubisoft game I can say I truly adore.

I thought Watch Dogs 1 was a solid gem but I mostly disliked Watch Dogs 2.

Far Cry 2 whilst frustrating as f*ck at times is the best Far Cry game.

I've never completed a Just Cause game as I tend to lose interest but I do like the series.

I'm not a big fan of L.A Noire a unique but pretty tedious game.

Niko Bellic is my favourite video game character.

I Like every Mafia game but Mafia II is my favourite.

I enjoyed Saints Row 1 & 2 but I abhor 3 & 4 and I think they killed a promising series.

PoeticWhisper

I haven't owned a Nintendo Console since the Super Nintendo.

I haven't played any Legend of Zelda games

Didn't play The Last of Us until last year

After beating Skyrim for the first time, I tried to go back to Oblivion and I f*cking hated it. Skyrim was my first Elder Scrolls to be fair.

I hated Fallout 3 when I first bought it. Took me almost a year to actually give it a second chance. Now Fallout is one of my favorite game franchises.

I'm a 22 year old man and still play Minecraft damn near religiously. I have almost 100 days on just the Xbox One version alone.

I got San Andreas when it first came out, and never beat it until about 2013 when I re-bought it on the Xbox 360 Marketplace. I also never played through it without cheats until about 2014.

I preferred Spyro to Crash Bandicoot on the PS1.

Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) is my favorite racing game of all time, but I've never actually beat it.

I used to take road trips in GTA San Andreas where I would start in Grove Street and follow traffic laws, and go all the way around the map in one big circle. South west around whetstone up past San Fierro, across Gant Bridge, through Bone County into Las Venturas and taking in the sights every now and again. I did this very frequently.

The first time my mom let me play GTA was around 2003, and my first GTA was Vice City. I played it the morning before school and my mother had to basically pry me off the controller to get me to go.

As a young lad I thought it was highly impressive that I could beat Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets(PS1) in a single day.

I once left my PS2 on an entire night because I finally unlocked the 2nd island in GTA Vice City and my brother took my memory card to his friends house and I couldn't save.

I can't beat Dark Souls. I've tried but I'm just not good enough to handle the heat.

I am so bad at stealth in games that it's almost laughable.

My favorite game of all time at this point, is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Despite it being my first ever Witcher game. (I did go back and play 2)

The only Final Fantasy I have ever played was 15, and it's the only one that ever looked interesting to me.

I'm sure I'll have more at some point. But here's a lot.

My first console was Nintendo Famicom and when I was playing F1 game (don't remember the title), there was the driver's face on top right of the screen and it scared the hell outta me.

I used to play super Nintendo Harvest Moon and Pokemon Blue with an emulator and I replayed the game every week from square one because I didn't know how to do save state.

I was only allowed to play video games on weekend and my parents despise video games. I felt the negative energy so much until I had to wake up early morning or stay up in the midnight just to play video games with 0 sound volume while they are asleep.

I used to be a heavy duty GTA fanboy until I read R* bullsh*t throughout GTAV and GTA Online. I became more open minded afterwards and no longer labelling everything as 'copying GTA' just because there is one similar feature in a game. I discovered even more games that actually gave me more fun than GTA.

I've never thrown my controller out of frustration.

I was 'eew' towards Soulsborne, until I saw a discounted Bloodborne on PSN and decided to buy a used copy based on the ability to create a character alone. And I had a 'this is it!' moment when I started playing BB and bought Dark Souls 3 a few weeks later. Now I'm really into the series, although I'm not so good at it.

The Rockstar Gamer 108

I haven't got Xb1 or PS4 right now coz I wanted to get a taste of consoles. That's why I got 360.

I'll be having Xb2 or PS5 directly laterwards.

I'll be having a fully advanced PC this year.

TheOneLibertonian

  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is probably the only game other than GTA IV, and The Last of Us that I can say is a near-perfect masterpiece. And I never played, or read any of The Witcher's lore before playing it.

CDPR, and Naughty Dog are now my two favorite gaming developers, Rockstar dropped down a bit after GTA V.

Assassin's Creed has been lackluster after Black Flag. Hopefully Empire will get them back on my radar.

I thought Mafia III was boring, and uninteresting. The story is great, but the rest is meh.

I am slowly losing hope for Polyphony Digital, and Gran Turismo. Forza is just killing them, and Assetto Corsa, and Project CARS are full-fledged racing simulators that are already on console.

I been playing GTA Online again recently. Even if I find the CEO, MC, and Import/Export new ways of making money, but they still too grindy, and just not fun at all. The overpowered AI, and the awful payout is just plain annoying, and dull to withstand.

I thought Scarface: The World is Yours was a fun game, and the curse button amusing, I just find the amount of recycled dialogue from the film was a bit lazy for the writers.

I'm more excited for Cyberpunk 2077, and TLOU Part II than for RDR 2.

Evil empire

My first console was the master system and my second the megadrive/genesis.

I largely prefer playing old games using an emulator than the original console and never understood this "feeling of the console" so many persons talk about.

I use trainers and codes in plenty games and since what I do in my parties doesn't affect anyone's party I don't see why I should feel ashamed of it.

My current party in Oblivion is more than 2700 hours long and I still love this game enormously.

I finished GTA 3, Vice City and GTA San Andreas more than 7 years ago and still don't feel like starting a new game for any of them.

  • I tended to play Doom and Doom 2 as a sort of a tactical shooter rather than run'n'gun. Also, always on the easiest difficulty.

  • I don't like the 3D era GTAs (except SA, but only played that last year and I still think it has major problems).

  • I'm very condescending against consoles and console games that came before the last gen (360/PS3). Almost whenever I have a chance to play, say, a PS2 game, I get put off and horribly frustrated, with the exception of some PS3 remasters (like MGS3).

  • Story > gameplay.

  • I don't allow any game with DRM on my PC anymore, no matter how good it may be. In fact I believe an intrusive DRM is a good enough reason to pirate a game. (I haven't pirated anything for some time but I'd started some time ago only when things like Uplay came into existence).

  • At one point, I had a broken CD-ROM drive and it could only read one CD: Max Payne. So for a week or so I would beat that game 3 times a day, trying to beat the par time.

Evil empire

I love gore games especially if I can severe my enemies' limbs or explode the corpses like in Half-Life. I already spent a long time looking for mods of this kind for many games and when it happens these mods don't exist I always feel very disappointed.

I already came to the level 125 in San Andreas and 250 in Vice City in the vigilante sub-missions. Despite a lot of cheats I always destroyed the cars on my own rather than with codes.

The handling of the vehicles sucks so much in GTA 3 I always use the code to destroy all the cars to complete the Turismo and Bling-bling scramble missions.

Horizon Zero Dawn to me is the best game I have played in a few years and has the best story since the TLOU. I also respect it for not even having a multiplayer.

I enjoy playing the Uncharted games but when I finish them I am done for good.

I have never completed any GTA to 100% and have no desire to.

Though I love games I can't stand most of the gaming community.

Whenever I start a new game and go through the setup part, I always set it brighter than it wants me to. Screw you games developer. I'll see what I want to see, not what you want me to see.

Yakuza 0 will be my first ''difficult'' platinum on my trophy list

San Andreas and GTA IV are my least favorite GTA games. (lol don't hate me)

Silent Hill 2 made me cry

- My first console was an Atari 2600 in 1980. It was actually my older brother's. It was an Atari VCS to be exact, pre-1982. I have been gaming for 37 years. First game I remember playing was Moon Patrol.

- I once stabbed a screwdriver through a NES controller in a fit of rage while playing Bionic Commando because I was so terrible at the game.

- The NES was a Christmas present. At the time, it was selling so well, my parents bought it three months in advance. I found it, and on several days I took sick days from school (my parents trusted me to be in on my own from about the age of 9) and unboxed it and played it. My parents were amazed at how good I was at Super Mario Bros on Christmas morning, unaware I'd been playing it here and there for the previous few months.

- I have a PS3 in a box, in a cupboard under the stairs. It's broken, but I can't bear to part with it. It's been broken for 4 years.

So... that happened in about 1986... 31 years(and counting)?

To clarify: I still don't regret it. f*ck that game and f*ck that stupid controller. The other one that I had had teeth marks in it. I was quite an angry little kid.

I never finished The Last of Us. I lost interest due to a largely uninteresting plot.

I played through Skyrim at least 5 times, doing everything.

When I first started gaming as a child, I would exclusively game on PC. But since 2008 I play mostly on consoles only, except for 2 or 3 older games that I still play on PC.

I'll grind to an extremely high level in games like KH or FF just so the rest of the game is a cake walk. :p

I purposely use the op weapons in unfamiliar games just out of spite of the reactions <3

I never beat any of the gta4 dlc bc my first ever copy had the entire second island missing and would crash my game if I got close. (ps3)

I played through fallout 3 over 5 times and obtained the platinum on two accounts

I was #1 on the gta iv race "Bohan Burning" for 3 days.

I beat gta3 to 100% obtaining collectibles first within a month so i just can't endure the same grind on gta vc and it now remains unfinished. </3

I cant have "real life" friends play on my account. :( Even if my stats are sh*t at least they're MY sh*tty stats ;)

I'll think of more later. 8)

I have gone strictly digital on the Pro. No disc has ever been inside my console.

Surely that means you're also needlessly spending about 20% more on each game than you really need to? PSN prices are a complete joke.

Sony: "Hey guys, here's an idea. We'll create a digital store and charge 20% more than store prices for a hard copy. Yeah, I know, it's genius, right? We're actually selling them less product for more money!"

LOL. Is moving legs and hands to buy/sell and insert/remove a disc a hard thing these days? :p

Back in PS2 era, I would plug in, plug off the console and the cables everytime I was going to play it because there wasn't a space for it.
