where do you draw the line? do you only report blatant modders? do you report glitchers or people using some form of exploit? do you report abusive players? what about little generally harmless glitches such as teleportation to an apartment? how bout griefers?

 

i personally only report people i feel are exploiting a glitch or mod to theyre advantage, if it seems harmless ill let them be

I've only cared about blatant hackers. If you want to glitch money into the game, I can't blame you. If you want to make your body invisible or wallbreach or whatever, then you can go f*ck yourself with a rusty rake but I simply don't care enough to report you.

 

When you start exploding everybody in the lobby with a mod menu and blowing up entire garages and dumping billions of cash into people's inventories so they can risk getting banned as well, then I'll probably care enough to report.

I have a list of 100+ players that either have an account over level 2000 or K/D of 5000 or higher. I wish R* had a place on R* support where you could put the names and what they have like insane K/D or levels over 2000. Runescape has a place on there forums to report bots.

I'm not sure because I've never actually reported someone through the game menu. As soon as the cheater sees the word "report" in the chatbox (because we have those on PC) he imminently leaves the session.

I've tried reporting their Social Club account but I'm told that that just adds "Bad Sport" points on their account.

I'm a freeroam player, even back in LG. That doesn't mean that i have modded stats, like crazy k/d. I find interesting the interaction with other players. Usually those crazy k/d ratio guys are "new" modded accounts just for PvP (Sometimes with fast run and rolling mods)

 

Back to OT:

Back on LG i usually checked before reporting. I don't really care for modded money, Everyone wants cool cars and things. If a wild modder joined the lobby, and made money rain for low level players i was happy for them. If the modder started to explode all players, it was time to report him. I even went to my apartment, switch on the TV and record them with my phone, then i sent the video to R*.

In NG i always report people who use glitches and affect other players, even if it's not me. Invisible outfits, wall breach for killing players, and that sort of things that ruin the gameplay.

Rockstar should add an option to report annoying people. I remember playing as my 2nd character, which happens to be a woman, a guy even sent me his skype. Wtf is wrong with people.

I reported a rank 8000 once because it was just after they'd supposedly all been wiped and it vexed me to see it. Never done any others though, I don't really give a f*ck what other people get up to.

I nowadays report modmenu users who troll and grief others (or me). Just like yesterday. x killed y and so on and on. x was a cheater with a bounty which I needed for my dailies so I grabbed my Insurgent and went after him. He was firing missles out of a Dukes O' Death front. Sure, he was on godmode, too. I rammed him - jammed him and multiple times stickiebombed him. Then I texted him that I'll report him. Funny enough he answeard mentioned he isn't cheating - lol.

 

Nothing else. I have no time to read the whole player list and search for impossible ranks or K/D's - they mostly all lose wherever I meet them (races / heists / insert whatever GTA:O offers).

I'll always report Wall Breachers who kill other players or wait out a bounty. They're the rodents of GTAO and should be purged.

 

Fake rank 8000s', Fake KDs' in the thousands. Hardcore Jet Griefers who do absolutely nothing but terrorise ground players get reported because they really should just fu*k off and find another past-time.

 

I'm reporting people more and more for lagging when I'm fighting them, especially when they're impervious to my weapons and moreso when they appear to know that they're impervious.. I'm not a sore loser and I'm a pretty handy sniper so when someone beats me 15-0 and I know I've hit them with multiple BST fuelled headshots throughout our exchange, causing damage that snack-spamming can't keep up with, I know something's fishy. Might be natural LAG, might be a switch, that's for R* to decide.

I report all rank 6666, 8000 or anyone over rank 1000 WITH empty stats, like driving and stamina, so obvious, must go...

 

I report all those wearing police outfits, juggernaut suits and all. must go...

 

Lag switches on races, reported...Anything obvious, I report... BUT, If you kill me in a jet, good on ya, no bothered, if you sucker punch me at pay n spray or after a heist, I can live with that, I should be more aware at times... If I lose a race/job, well played, I can't win everything, I accept this, many don't...

 

I never report a player purely out of spite if they defeated me anywhere, it's a competitive game, many much better players than me, many dickheads too... I get enough wins to keep trying... With a smile, I must add...

 

I report anyone that likes to use cancer or my parents heritage against me, I report those that kill me when I'm on passive (bailing from car at speed last second... Bang! there I go...)

 

I don't do PvP so rarely know if a cheat is using dubious methods, and if a player is very vocal about duping or glitching that heist I may report those as, IMO, cheats all should be gone... I know, I know, money and outfit glitches 'don't hurt anyone'... Whatever... Don't cheat, but more so, don't f*cking cry to me IF you do get a ban... It's all on the cheat/modder and not my problem... If I got anyone banned, it will be justified, I don't want it around me, I pat my fees to go online, I want it clean and as fair as possible for everyone...

 

I report harassment, I can take a bit of banter, or a cute line, but some take things to the extreme, must go... But that's on PSN, so unrelated.

 

Most of these things I rarely see, and most days I never report anyone as I usually play solo, or in friends public sessions so as to never have to be around this behaviour, I'd like to trust lobbies and players more, but so many have shown compromise in their game and did cheat/mod/glitch somewhere to take advantage of someone or something.

 

I pride myself on never having needed cheats, rarely use the web/research to complete games... The last time I needed to look something up was on Red Dead Redemption, as I'd completed it, but missed a mission strand for John only... That pissed me off a tad, but to go through the RDR story again certainly was no hardship... Great fun... But, in essence, I like to learn my way, or work as a team to strategize, I accept my failings, and relish the victories... So what if my crates, businesses or I/E takes a while to return profit, nor do I care to HAVE to have 100% success everywhere online, win some, lose some, I love the game, and am very happy knowing all will come to me in time online...

 

Zero tolerance!... And had R* been like so from day one, we'd not be here now discussing it, and I'd not have to put up with some of what's really crossed a line...

 

Sorry but it's all on the cheats, not me... R* look into the report to see if it was justified, mine are, and they take action, did nothing wrong, nothing to fear if you do get reported somewhere... The reports I get give me no stress.

I realise this post is a little aggressive, to be clear, I only look for these as things to use against players that go out of there way to cause me hassle one way or another, players that play, kill me, beat me or are oblivious to me, are NOT at risk of me 'looking for you'... These are just my weapons to try to stop certain bad things happening to me, and certainly DON'T support abuse of this report system, as that is another form of grief.

This. I'm level 700, so if i have to claim a bounty or do anything like mug another player for daily objective, i make sure to change sessions immediately afterwards. I'm a clean player, long time player. I win most altercations and there is usually saltiness involved, so i dip out once I've done what needs doing so i can keep that nifty 5% discount

 

So many little butthurt tatle tales on ALL platforms, just assuming they know who is or isn't a modder with their magical sixth sense that detects cheaters. Little poor loser snowflakes need to grow up and learn to accept defeat without rage kicking or rage reporting. Snowflakes have gotten so mean and miserable since November lol.

I agree, but anytime I do report, it is only because it's obvious, and at the time effected me, if I have a bounty on my head, if I use the centre pay n spray not on passive or anything fully legitimate, cheap shots, players attacking clothes stores to get me or any kills out and about, never bother me, never has really... I may swear as I was doing something, I may seek revenge too, I may be disappointed in myself for getting my butt whooped but never resort to bitching out and reporting, if I lose the battle, I go passive or leave if it's too much... But blatant cheaters must go...

 

Again, rare for me to report these days, usually never see any of that sh*t, an experienced player, as you say, will know/look to take care in the battles/things to keep safe and stress free... And that 5% has definitely saved me some serious cash man... $9m on clothes I've spent so far... All with at least that extra few bucks off... lol... Nice!

I report any and all level 8000's. I use the 'other' option and just type, "Level 8000 Modded Account... Only because it is so obvious it's modded. If you are a level 7999, I don't bother you. Only level 8000's get my report. Lol

Outfits do not affect you, & its not rare if you're reporting every glitched outfit you see.
