Mod compability thread

Which other mods should be supported by UG in Snapshot 3? Let me know!

 

This is a part of the Snapshot 3 goal to make UG more mod friendly.

 

NOTE: Since Snapshot 3 was released earlier, not everything from this list is included in releases. For example, this means that V HUD is still incompatible, but implementing support for it is mostly done, and as it's not fully complete, it's not included in releases until it is fully stable and complete.

 

Mod list

  • Project 2DFX DONE - The data is slightly outdated but should work fine, binary IPL loading feature is still not patched
  • V HUD by dk22pac NOT INCLUDED
  • ModLoader NOT INCLUDED
  • CLEO DONE - We will introduce support for the latest CLEO version soon
  • GTA: IV hud by _AG NOT STARTED
  • Project 2DFX DONE - files are slightly outdated + binary IPL loading feature is still not patched
  • V HUD by dk22pac DONE - needs full support for added weapons
  • ModLoader WIP - not much has been done
  • ImVehFt DONE - still needs support for night license plate textures
  • SAMP (UG:MP) WIP - needs more server-side patching and depends on the new website + needs a new launcher, vehicles + skins + weapons are broken again, needs tons of tweaks (This modification is planned for the 3.4 update)
  • Bullet mod by Ryosuke NOT STARTED
  • First Person mod NOT STARTED - I've heard rumors that it works without the patch file it includes, not sure though
  • SA::Render UNCERTAIN
  • Tuning mod UNCERTAIN
  • Ragdoll mod by madleg UNCERTAIN
  • Classic HUD DONE
  • Mobile HUD by dk22pac DONE
  • Wesser's Vehicle Lights Fix (vehlightfix.asi) WIP - Patched some model ID checks

A status of NOT INCLUDED means that support for this mod is in development or nearly done, but is purposely excluded from released versions because we did not finish the compability code yet.

Mods which are already compatible by default:

There wasn't an official list for compatible mods I use so....

  • Widescreen Fix (I use it personally and I haven't ran into any issues besides the FOV problem involving yellow squares)
  • ExGangWars
  • SkyGfx
  • IMFX
  • Wanted level editor (mods needs to be updated for Snapshot 3 because of the new systems used for vehicle features, and the new zone based wanted level system...)
  • SilentPatch
  • ImgLimitAdjuster (pre Snapshot 3 only)
  • fastman92 limit adjuster (obviously)
  • Open Limit Adjuster (with all options disabled, FPS limit works, searchlights works too, fastman92 limit adjuster handles this)
  • And lots of other mods, feel free to try mods out yourself!

How many of these plugins are actually incompatible? I don't think 99% of all mods are incompatible with UG, how about you guys actually test it yourself and confirm that mods are incompatible before asking me to make them compatible?

Making GTA V HUD by dk22pac compatible with UG. It seems to be incompatible with new radar limits.

 

EDIT: It also was incompatible with the new radar sprite system UG uses, patched it.

I patched more stuff related to why V HUD is incompatible, but still didn't make it fully compatible.

Something just like this. I hope that UGDev will add pedestrian sprinting support too.

Vegetation mods that change most or all the original vegetation to better quality ones. I installed a vegetation mod from Robert's Overhaul Finale in UG and it worked except certain plants had no texture and were white. I only used the vegetation files from that mod, they work perfectly fine in regular Gta Sa.

Developers will not include this mod in game or correcting this. They just make it compatible with UG. Simply make it without crashes after install.

As a result, ragdoll works perfectly, but when i sit in a car... oops! Game crashed.

Dk, please, pimp my ride make it compatible! :panic:

Also, peds in LC/VC/BW & others going through the floor after death.(custom peds too, ragdoll phys still working)

I tested tuning mod (v2.1)(http://gtaforums.com/topic/692030-sarel-tuning-mod-by-junior-djjr/) a few minutes ago. When loading takes 1/4, it stops and i got the error "maybe the new version of adjuster needed?". But loading continues and when it finished, i can get back to the game pushing the icon on the task bar. Same thing i've got with some other cleo scripts. I really hope you understand me. Sorry for bad english :)

Also custom cars are availiable to tuning. That's nice and make so much possibilities and combinations in near future, if you fix this, of course :).

And finally, game crashes when i try go out from tuning garage. Saaaad T_T

Game crashes on loading screen. It's totally incompatible with GTA:UG

 

I would be glad to make the proof video of these tests for you, dkluin, but i'm too lazy ass. :facedesk:

Actually, TM works with UG but the install method is different.
