Krox
New Screenshot [WIP]: This is the whole Dryland part i made. So behind the Mountains there will be the actuall desert. The Mountains are handmodelled with a Subdivision Surface Modifier, so i will always experiement a bit with the shape of the Mountains, so its not the final result But after all that, i go to the Details part like making dirt paths, Transmission Towers, Highway Signs etc... deadbob777
This is really awesome, I can't wait for all the updates, for when you end up taking in game screenshots of it, here's a link to a guy who has made a whole bunch of lore friendly license plates, including Robada. https://www.gta5-mods.com/paintjobs/new-license-plates-add-on Krox, Yannerrins and mould122
mould122
I think the modelling part in this mod is sure going to achieve its goal, because I couldn't tell the difference between R* made hills and your hills. What comes to textures and props, could you use some of the GTA V ingame stuff that fits in a scene and aren't tied down to a location? That way you could save some time and effort. And I don't think R* would sue you for using some of their work, because the big no no things to them are GTA Online hacking and map importing from another IP. Thanks^^ Yep i will use some GTA V props like the callboxes on the Highway and some Textures too. Later i will work with Texture Blending Since GTA V has really good Textures that fits Nevada pretty good. But we will use some of Venoms Scratch Made Textures too of course But for now iam only focussing on the Mountains. The Textures and props will be the last thing i will doing. There is best chases. We are actually trying more to make a very varieted and detailed highway later. And that the ride to Las Venturas feels like you made an Adventure or something ^^ And you must pass 3 Villiages first (Victorville) (Barstow) (Primm) So not a long empty highway like in the Route 66 mod. But it is up to you guys how long the highway to Las venturas should be. But srsly cmon guys, 14 Minutes.. I never though that it will nearly win the Poll. It was a mistake to put 14 minutes in 8 Minutes would be perfect, but i will end this poll in august and then we will see ^^. I will even supporting Alternate Servers that using my map later ^^ Edited July 9, 2017 by Krox deadbob777 and le shark
deadbob777
with all this talk of size, any chance of stuff like possibly a knock off Las Vegas motor speedway/roadcourse? So much emphasis is on driving and racing in GTA 5, yet there are no racetracks. Edited July 9, 2017 by deadbob777 Krox

Krox
The Region i made is called in Reallife "Cajon Summit". Maybe someone has a good name for it? btw. the ones who now searching "Cajon Summit" i only wanted to remind, that my Vegetation is currently not accurate. I will change it when i finished the Mountains.
deadbob777
Hmm, well Cajon is Spanish for a box shaped instrument, so why not something like Esfera Range, that's Spanish for sphere. Hmm or Cajon is Cajun, maybe Creole Summit. Krox

Krox
Alright i will end this poll now here. 14 Minutes have won. I dont want to lie, that it isnt realistic to make a state so big that it takes 11 minutes to drive across it, when you think about the fact that it only takes in GTA V 3 Minutes. It was a mistake by me to put 14 minutes in there. So after 14 Minutes, 8 Minutes have won. Thank you guys for voting. Krox
Working on a Taco Store that is based on DelTaco Tacos? again? Hell no. This Taco store only exist in Robada and in no other state It is a resting place when you drive from Los Santos to Las Venturas through the Highway. If you are tired of driving, you can make a small break there. This Building can be entered later. Blue, MrBellicLC, _MK_ and 12 others

mould122
Darn, that looks wicked. Are we really able to buy food there like in GTA IV? Well at least you could put a soda machine in there. Btw, this got me wondering are you planing to make a other kind of shops in Robada area in general? GTArandom could copy the existing shop interiors in GTA V to your use, so you won't have to model every single interior. And R* themselves have done just basically copy paste job in there, so it would still maintain the quality as same. Banks would be neat also. Edit: Heh, my bad . I should have checked from the dictionary what sleek really means. Thought always it was just a synonym for wicked. We actually wanted to make a completely from scratch Interior. Since there is no Interior that fits that building. The Interior should have a own design. Mintal
Servus Krox, saubere Arbeit! Krox, I can't even tell you how much I appreciate your work. It looks astonishing and it seems to be definitely on par with R*'s terrain from GTA V. I hope you have the durability (and help) to finish this amazing work. Question: Will there be some "filler"-terrain between those Palomino Highlands (?) and the Robada-desert for a "fluid" transition between Southern San Andreas and Robada (some towns, mountains to block the view to the desert, etc)? That would be amazing. Once the mod is finished (hopefully ) I think reducing the draw distance would be a good thing, otherwhise you would see Venturas from Mt. Chiliad, wouldn't you? And by the way, 8 minutes are more than enough. Even a R*-made San Andreas wouldn't be that big that it takes you 11 minutes to drive across it. Thumbs up for you, bro! Schaut überragend aus! Thanks ^^ Iam actually working on a dryland, so Robada will not begin with the desert, so yeah there will be a fluid transition between Southern San Andreas and Robada. The view to the desert will be mostly blocked by Mountains of Creoul Summit iam working on. And i wouldnt reduce the draw distance ^^ I cant say if you would see Las Venturas from Mount Chilliad, maybe the mountains will block the view. But i dont think thats a problem since Las Venturas will be very blurry to see from Mount Chilliad if the Mountains dont will block the view Edited July 15, 2017 by Krox Mintal, _MK_, deadbob777 and 3 others
Robabank
I have an idea that kinda includes the whole map. Include the Sierra Nevada mountains and call it the Tierra Robada as kind of a barrier between Las Venturas and San Fierro and place it just north of Paleto Bay.Make the mountain range cover the lighthouse because im not sure if you can just move the building with mods. Therefore it gives it that new rockstar feel unlike the GTA Sa version which didnt include the mountain range but skipped right to the desert Edited July 15, 2017 by Robabank
