If you build San Fierro and Robada, will you expand to other states, like a parody of Four Corners and Portland? (I know it would be too much, but you might have a big team to build all of that.)

When i finished Robada and still want to modelling for GTA V, why i shouldnt do it?

But that is actually a good question when Robada is nearly finished

Maybe the Limitation will stop me from doing this

That's right, break the limits! Expand onto new cities, if GTA VI doesn't get made!

(maybe you could include Liberty City, from IV, in the near future)

Crainville is a nice name

But something i dont like about Lanebridge ^^

Its actually not really a bridge

Maybe Lanepass?

Or Lanecreek or something

Yes, Lanecreek&Lanepass is better idea than Lanebridge.

But Lanepass is more geographicly accurate as i think.

Seriously, the map itself should be the first thing you do, all other little details like signs, etc should be last.

Im only focussing on one region.

Since it would be too much work later when i finish the whole state and then put the details all over the map

It is better to focussing on only one region first and when its perfect we can import it ingame and than i can work on a another region

But wouldnt it be more logical to try to get the whole map done in a lowish quality and add the detail as you go, instead of having highly detailed parts and the rest unfinished? That's how GTA 5 was done in an interview iirc

everyone has its own workflow ^^

Of course not all details will be added, but Traffic Signs is not that hard to make.

And i cant work without details.

But i dont see that as a problem

If you still haven't finished the landscape, you should take a look at Fallout: New Vegas. I'm sure that you might be inspired by this great game

I think simply made landscape from scratch than adapt New Vegas landscape for reallife/present time. There is many damaged buildings and roads.. But he can get some elements from Fallout NV, for example some buildings from out-Vegas, Mojave towns, Freeside and Strip. McCarran Airport is in good condition too, as i remeber. Possible some vegetation from desert and Mt. Charleston is in good quality.

Probably the best game if he were to use a game as insipration is The Crew, it has a great example of a game size Vegas, more so than any other game.

Fallout new vegas doesnt looks like Nevada in anyway and i researched a lot.

And the mountains there are very unrealistic.

I dont want to spend time to rip any game models.

I know you guys think that i spend time with it, but its better to make the models from scratch and gta v styled.

This is not a Fallout new vegas total conversion, and if it would be the quality would be sh*t.

Probably the best game if he were to use a game as insipration is The Crew, it has a great example of a game size Vegas, more so than any other game.

The crew is lacking regarding details.

And it doesnt even have realistic Nevada villiages, and everything looks the same, thats why the driving is kinda unvarieted in the crew.

There is actually no game that has recreated Nevada accurate.

We can recreate the vegetation very good since Venom works with Photogrammetry and can make good Materials from Scratch, and iam working with Substance Designer where i can make very good Materials too.

However GTA V has nearly all kinds of Vegetation we actually need.

The best "game" to get inspiration is Google Maps.

I think American Truck Simulator got a good feel for Vegas, like even though it was obviously not too big, you could tell you were somewhere special because you were surrounded by neons and lights that are practically in the middle of nowhere. Even though it isn't 1:1 realistic like google maps that you mentioned, that should pretty much be the jist of what you're going for - fancy lights and greedy sh*t in the middle of a desert. No need for a 1:1 recreation that would take years to complete as long as you nail that down.

Nah, i Dont will make a 1:1 recreation. I use googlemaps to See what Locations Need to be represent than iam thinking how it fits to the hd Universe regarding the size and i add it to the blueprint.

Actually yes American Truck Simulator has a beautiful Nevada recreation But still i Dont want to buy Games to create this Mod.

And currently iam working actually on eastern san Andreas when You give it the right Name, Not Nevada. Eastern san Andreas is more like a Transition between Southern san Andreas and robada

Edit: researched a bit more and yeah victorville is still Southern san Andreas. But Since its a separate Island Maybe we could still Name it eastern san Andreas Or Maybe someone has a better Name for this Transition Island between Southern san Andreas and robada

Yeah and we can planning france and brasilia right now too.

Maybe Japan as well.

Cmon guys, lets focus on Robada first.

When we have finished robada, than we can work on a another state like Northern San Andreas with San Fierro and Sacramento.

And after all that maybe if i want still model for gta v, we can thinking making Oregon or San Diego.

So, but that was my statement regarding expanding to other states.

Now, lets focus like i said on Robada first, bcs that will maybe take 2 years to finish.

Brasilia would be cool, since there's not many games set in Brazil and the only open world game I know is in development (it's called "171")

However GTA V has nearly all kinds of Vegetation we actually need.

Don't forget the beta/cut tree x64i.rpf\levels\gta5\props\vegetation\v_trees.rpf "test_tree_forest_trunk_01.ydr" just thought I'd mention it in case you need it.

I got a few State and city name ideas.

So far, we have...

* California = San Andreas (Northern will be San Fierro)

* Nevada = Robada (Named after the canyon and places around Las Venturas in GTA San Andreas)

* North Yankton = North Dakota (Duh.)

I have come up with...

* Oregon = Torragon (Derived off Tarragon, a herbal plant)

* Portland = Marland

* Phoenix = Firebird

* South Dakota = South Yankton (Why not?)

* Four Corners = Four Sides

* New York = Liberty State (City will still be called Liberty City, if we make it this far)

Just some ideas.

doesnt matter, i will just name it southern san andreas too ^^

Even it will be still Blaine County since Victorville is located in San Bernardino County (blaine county) too.

Only the regions will have a different name like Creoul Summit.

I just made an offer.

Why do not you make Chanel Islands parody after Robada? Making them much easier, and a lot of time it will not take.
