Can't join GTAO anymore [RETAIL]

Hi guys!

 

I really need your help. Yesterday I could still play GTAO.

Today the new update came out, so I update GTA, wondering the new

stuntraces. After update I get this message each time I try to join GTAO:

 

''You are attempting to acces GTA Online servers with an altered version of the game''

 

Like whaaaat?? I don't understand. I have retail version [disk].

On Steam PC version I'm getting the same message. Verified my game files and still the same message. Turned off fps counters, still same message.

Damn, this is teribble. Can't even check out that new races. Also did verify my files, still no luck.

Okay guys, mine seem to be fixed. What I did is uninstalled LSPD:FR and deleted Ragehook from the root GTAV folder. Online is working now. I hope this will fix your game ;-)

So... You were trying to play with a modified game, and yet you couldn't figure out why the game was preventing you from joining Online after it says "you are using a modified game"?

I was using x360ce [XBOX360 Controller Emulator] using Dinput8.dll - (DirectInput 8 spoof/wrapping file to improve x360ce compatibility in rare cases).

 

Removed x360ce and Dinput8.dll thanks to this post on Steam's GTA 5 Discussions page and it worked.

SOLUTION: 'You are attempting to access Grand Theft Auto Online with an altered version of the game'
After today's update many are facing this issue. Here is the solution

1. Go to C:\Windows\system32\
2. Copy dinput8.dll
3. Go to steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V and paste dinput8.dll
4. It will ask you to Replace ,Click Replace
5. Delete dinput8.dll you pasted just now
6. Now play the game it will work
