Question from someone who just bought his first vehicle warehouse

Recommended Posts

Yes, the "specialist" offer gives you $80000 of profit for the sale(if you don't damage the car).

The "dealer" offer gives $60000 in profits.

The "private buyer" only gives $40000(no tuning required).

Protips:

-dont sell in solo lobbies, if you do, you will have enemies NPCs coming after you and shooting the car to bits.

Sell in publics where not much action is going on and all you will have to worry about is traffic.

-traffic is a more predictable on highways, take them whenever you can, avoid driving in the city.

-Always sell high end cars if you're doing it solo or collections, mid range and low end cars are not worth the time, there is a way to only make high end cars comes up for sourcing.

A bit of simple math should answer that question for you.

Considering you get paid more money upon delivery for an upgraded car rather than standard, its obvious that its worth upgrading prior to sale.

The only thing is, if your vehicle cargo gets destroyed during a sale, you lose the fee you paid to upgrade, as well as the car itself.

I'm yet to check how the upgrade thing actually works. Not sure if it works like a regular LSC or what. But thanks for the info!

Its more straight forward:

On the "specialist" offer you will have to:

-Eliminate tracker;

-Change license plate;

-Apply new paintjobs;

-Upgrade the car's performance(I believe this option only applies ECU, Transmission and Turbo upgrades, I haven't noticed any difference in braking and ride height[that would be given by changing the suspension]);

-Bodywork upgrades(spoilers, side skirts, neons, lights, etc...)

-Wheels.

You are required to make atleast one change per category, all upgrades are free of charge since you already paid $20000 for them.

For the "dealer" offer you will be required to only change the paintjob, license plates and remove the tracker, then after finishing the tuning, you will need to make a stop in the city to grab the car's pink slip.

Oh, alright! It's easier than I thought! Gonna take a look at it when I get home tonight! Thanks!

I want to point out that selling cars in private lobbies is fine if you cant find a friendly public lobby. Drive some good 300-400m away from the warehouse and you'll notice enemy NPCs tailing you and shooting. The key here is to park the car you're selling somewhere safe (quickly) and moving a good distance away from it and kill the waves of enemies. It goes to a maximum of 4 waves IIRC. After that enjoy the safe drive to the seller without any fear of gunshots (but be wary of pesky AI traffic! lol).

-dont sell in solo lobbies, if you do, you will have enemies NPCs coming after you and shooting the car to bits.

Just to add, the enemy NPCs have deadly accurate AI, even from helicopters and far distances.

It's ridiculously ridiculous to the point of ridiculousness.

The amount of damage would be infuriating if it weren't so adorably laughable.

If we're throwing in some more general tips:

If you're a good driver, then you can choose to race to the delivery point. You'll take at least a couple bullets from the enemies spawning ahead of you but what you lose on your commission you will save on ammo because of not deciding to pull over and fight them all off.

Another good method offered is to call for a Cargobob BEFORE starting the sale. Land it outside of your vehicle warehouse, go in and start the mission. When you come out, get into the 'bob, pick up the car. Get some good altitude to make sure the enemies can't hit you or don't even spawn at all and just fly to the delivery point.

If I am not mistaken, judging from what I've done myself driving the high end cars is faster than using a Cargobob. However, using the Cargobob is still faster than pulling over and killing up to sixteen NPC's out of eight cars. So for me, it's the perfect middle ground. No damage, little slower than driving but faster than the combat option.

Once again about saving money: don't use heavy weapons if you're going to choose to fight them. Yes, explosives get rid of the cars quickly but again, you'll lose more in ammo costs than you would just driving if you have any skill and experience behind the wheel. On an average (driving) sale of mine, I would only lose maybe a few hundred dollars because of the damage taken. Using between four and eight explosives in combat kind of defeats the purpose of choosing to stand and fight. It takes longer and doesn't save money if you could've just driven the car quickly.

So if you want to fight, make sure the car is in a safe spot and you're using a cheap and effective weapon for the enemies.

If you know the way of 'Bob then solo's fine.

Guys, thanks for the help. One more question: Can I simply go into a solo lobby and do the delivery missions? Or when you guys mention solo lobby you are talking about those ways of being thrown into an empty one?

Thanks!

Pretty sure most people are referring to public sessions which are simply empty. Use any method you like to "split" the session and then sell your cars without any concern of being attacked by other players. I don't think you can sell things from your CEO/MC businesses in solo/crew/invite-only sessions. Rockstar wants us to do it with other players around.

Oh, alright! I guess the MTU thing will do it, then!

Not always the case. I once got out of the Wastelander (during its CEO job. The enemies are the same) to try to steal a Import Car that was off the radar. I couldn't steal it after standing still for 15 seconds. Suddenly the Enemy AI were literally missing every single shot. Either they were getting run over by cars or they just deliberately cheat when you're in a car.

I sell in solo public all the time, its not hard. Park on the side of the road, get out, blast 4 waves with 4 npcs each to pieces, get back in the car and deliver it with zero problems.

I agree with most of the tips, except for a couple:

1. 'Don't sell in solo lobby'. It's perfectly fine to sell in your own public lobby by yourself. Ammo costs against AI is relatively low as long as you STAY AWAY FROM EXPLOSIVES. Experiment a little when exporting from your warehouse. Get a good idea where the AI spawn and set up a good defensive position. You can also park an Armored car or tank close to your defensive position and hop in for even less ammo costs.

2. 'Using a CargoBob'. Don't waste your time with this unless it's required in one of the source missions to get a car from some place it's not actually DRIVEABLE. Steal the cars and drive them, like a true Grand Theft Auto enthusiast.

I was thinking of using the cargobob to deliver the cars. I still haven't delivered any (just got my first sourced car yesterday), but it seems that it might be a little too hard to do it on your own

If you already own one, it's a pretty good idea. And even if you don't, selling cars with the highest customisation orders will get you the money back fairly quickly.

Just to sum up the three different methods I've used:

1. Race the car to the drop off point. Decent driving means very little damage and it's done the fastest.

2. Stop and kill all enemies (eight cars times two NPC's each, waves of two cars each time) with CHEAP weaponry to prevent damage. Takes the longest due to the wait.

3. Pick up the car and deliver it with a Cargobob. Damage free, no ammo used, only money spent on calling in the Cargobob. Time taken somewhere between driving and fighting.

haven't considered putting an armored vehicle in my defense position. I'm hoping it will slow them down. sometimes I'm not away from the car enough when they start shooting.

Cargobob it is, then! I already own one, which I NEVER use, so.... haha

If you're using the Cargobob, do it in a solo public session.

In public sessions with other players the Cargobob has an annoying tendence to un-hook the car in mid-flight, making the damage costs skyrocket.

You really don't want that happening to you.

This.

Simply because in solo lobbies the NPCs get spawned that WILL shred your car. Just gain height.

A lot of conflicting posts about the Cargobob in here tonight.

If you have one, and want to chance it, go for it. The thing does, however, randomly drop cars sometimes, but if you can get it from point A to point B quick enough, that shouldn't be too much of an issue. Fly high enough to not get shot by the tools in the Sultans, and you should be golden for selling solo.

If you don't have a Cargobob, don't waste your money. You can easily make any solo delivery with no damage if you know where to park and shoot all the bad guys.
