Atari-Dude
This is a popular topic. There could be docks, a school, a prison, etc. What do you think? There were originally plans to have school buses in GTA III, but they were cut in the final version. It would make sense for there to be a school. What do you think is up there? A thriving city, or uninterrupted wildlife? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/882906-whats-in-upstate/ Share on other sites
DragonpokeZ
There's a cave. I actually remember going around with the 'cars drive on water' cheat and driving through the hollow Upstate mountain. You could see the whole city from below. It's actually a beautiful sight. Then at some point you just drive off into Gray Hell and respawn on the Cochrane Dam Now, on a less technical sense, I believe it could just be a mountain separating the city from the rest of the country. It's an observatory, yes. But on the other side we could have another city full of criminals and gangs, complete with another gang war and stuff Atari-Dude 1 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/882906-whats-in-upstate/#findComment-1069438003 Share on other sites

Carbonox
If the GTA 3 radar text is anything to go by, a bunch of small towns named after the series developers seems to be the answer. Helegad
There's whatever you want there to be out there. Rockstar has said they placed those tunnels to make the world seem bigger than what it was. Jimmy
According to the game files, mostly small towns that are linked by the tunnels and the mountains separating Liberty City from Countryside maybe. Helegad
According to the game files, mostly small towns that are linked by the tunnels and the mountains separating Liberty City from Countryside maybe. If you're talking about those artists signatures like "Aaronsville" and "c*ntsville" past the tunnels in GTA III, then don't. They are not anything more than hidden signatures.
