We can clearly see that the model have (at least) customizable:
- Front Bumper
- Hood
- Hood pins
- Skirt
- Spoiler
(obvisously I'm not talking about wheels and colour..) but we have not seen the default wheels, hope they will look like the original one!

Answer the 14th ;)

Imagine if this cars a Benny's vehicle

One thing is for sure. GP1 looks god awful and tacky modded. I hope I can go for a more reserve F1 look.

I know you entitled to your own taste but seriously due? It's better than their normal designs tbh

i don't think it's a benny car, otherwise it would not have been on legendary if we take the i/e cars as an example.

I'm curious as to how the back of the car looks. So far we have seen the side and the front, but barely anything about the back. We have seen that it's not a longtail, but aside from that we don't know how it looks. I'm mainly curious about this, because the Tyrus didn't look like a F1 from the back at all. I don't personally mind the Saleen Tyrus back myself, but I really hope they will actually give it a McLaren back this time.

You really don't? Dude, the vents are supposed to help cooldown the engine, them being placed in the front rather than the rear where the engine is makes it extremely prone to overheating. It looks stupid as well.

The pins are also supposed to be on the panel that accesses to the engine, y'know, like the hood pins on the hood of a muscle car that is front-engined? The pins are supposed to be in the rear. This is basic common sense.

The Tyrus has it correctly, so why can't the GP1 have it as well?

I'm not loved here, I get that. And my Photoshop skills aren't the best but here's the Progen GP1 in Purple.

Hood pins aren't just for access to the engine, they are mainly used to prevent the bonnet from opening at high speeds, regardless of whether the engine is in the rear or in the front. It has a bonnet on the front of the car, so it makes sense to used hood pins to prevent it from detatching.

I hope we can remove the hood pins though, they don't really fit on the street version of the car.

I'm sure these are customization in the same spirit of the Dewbauchee Massacro; a stock street car when purchased new that can be upgraded with full-on racing kits and accessories.

I sure hope that will be the case. We haven't seen a bonnet without the hood pins on the GP1 though. Although it will probably have a bonnet option without the hood pins, part of me can't help but think that it might be a racing modification that's forced onto the car, similar to the window decal on the Tyrus or the forced bodykits on the Omnis and the Comet Retro.

Yeah but I still don't see an issue with that.

The Mclaren F1 LM had vents and hood pins on the frunk. Btw, the F1 is mid-engined, not rear-engined.

The pins hold down the hood. Nothing more, nothing less. Many race cars have them on both the hood and trunk because they are lighter than using hinges and latches.

They are vents, not scoops. They are used to relieve high pressure air under the front of the car, in order for the car to have less resistence to downforce, therefore gaining more benefit from said downforce.

Basic racecar sh*t guys.

Probably would help if you didn't, say, just read the contents of this thread for a video, and pass off other people's observations as your own for a quick buck. Or while we're at it, you and Austin treating people's Snapmatic art as stock images to use without the basic courtesy of asking, and often with little/no credit...

....aaanyway, I'm stoked - maybe not quite 'Skyline Elegy'-stoked, but certainly 'Stirling GT-stoked, like when those teases for Ill-Gotten Gains came out. :) The interior styling makes up for the (predictable, because animations) 2-seater configuration, and it looks like there's a decent amount of customisation possible with the hood/bumper/spoiler, so I shouldn't have any trouble making a proper LM replica with it.

And ho-lee, those doors...

Engine cooling is largely done via radiators, and plenty of mid-engined cars have a radiator in the front (e.g. the F50 and Enzo). Here's a good shot of the Enzo's radiators, which vent out of the top of the nose.

You can also have oil coolers in the nose (e.g. the original 911 RSR with the big central front bumper vent), and sometimes even transmission or front diff coolers. It makes sense to relocate things like this for weight distribution, space (especially with a V12 in the back) and to move them away from the engine and exhaust heat.

Compared the two screenshots, and here's all the custom options I can see (some which have already been mentioned):

- Headlight 'eyelids': black (secondary?), carbon

- 'Frunk': carbon vented, double carbon vented

- Front bumper: canards & tow hook, carbon splitter & tow hook

- Mirrors: two-tone (secondary?), carbon

- Side skirts: stock (?), extended carbon

- Spoiler: low-level carbon, carbon wing

- Ducktail (separate from spoiler options, or combined?)

That's looking more like Tempesta levels of customisation, rather than something a bit more bare-bones like the Penetrator. And again, the model quality looks great - none of the flat light textures or areas where sections of the car meet and the edges cut off abruptly (something I hate about things like the FMJ).
