today i transferred from last gen to next gen (xbox one) i noticed my character looked uglier then she did on last gen (360).

i did get an option to alter her appearance but i didn't bother with it.

when you guys transferred from last gen to next gen did your character look uglier then before or did he or she look any different to you?

Yes this is a common complaint, that is why they let you edit your character for free.

 

Since you skipped it now you have to pay 100k to do it.

When I ported up, I went from having pretty much the same face as every other female character to looking like a smashed crab.

I don't know what it is, but something about the old facial bones and the new ones just doesn't click quite right.

I've actually found that if you do the switch character option it lets you edit the features for free more than 2 times per character.

i skipped again when i logged back into gtao last night but i did make her look a little better by giving her a new hairstyle and dyed her hair black.

i'll try to get a pic of her soon.

Don't remember, I transferred about a month or so after the game were released on PS4.

 

Although some of you are lucky; there was an unfortunate bug right after the game dropped where you would actually take on the appearance of other players within your lobby. It could range from skin tone to an entirely different face as a whole. The only solution was to submit a ticket to R* to have them re-open the character creator. Even then, you didn't have your original settings, but rather you had to rework it from whatever distorted face you were left with after the bug.

Absolutely agree with ya Quinn Flower

 

Also, OP your character made the transition from last gen to current gen and the result was sloppy.

 

Happens to most everyone regardless of console that the avater looks doesn't transfer perfectly and they glitch a little and usually look "uglier".

 

Thankfully an update allows us to change their appearance for 100k in the interaction menu.

honestly I have no idea, I've only seen both consoles played on YouTube which kills any decent textures IMO. I assume the textures on PS4 are better but it's probably hard to spot the difference. When I upgraded to PC I didn't even have better textures than CG consoles and my character looked the same, once I upgraded my PC though my character aged by 10 years IMO.

I made both my characters on last gen, transferred both to new gen without altering anything when you get the chance on transfer. Wanted to see how they carried over I guess, hoped for the best or a plastic surgery option!

 

On old gen my first character I was never happy with. She wasn't all that pretty. Second character on old gen was the prettier of the two.

 

New gen? First charachter got made prettier. Needs the right makeup, granted but I've got her looking really good. My second character? She got transferred through the ugly road, the process really did not treat her well.

In the interaction menu you can request a character edit anytime, costs 100k, why?. *Jaws theme*

Yes my female got significantly more ugly. My male looked pretty much the same, barely did anything to him.

 

I edited my female the first time I used her and noticed my edit was not quite right due to the crappy LSPD lighting and then the 2nd time I switched to her, I again was awarded another chance to edit and I did.

My female character went from "generic last gen face" to "Shrek", which was mainly down to being gifted the woman who is 90% neck as a mother. Thank God for a chance to edit.
