Thing is if the ruiner has a lock to the hydra then yes the latter Will lose (most of the time) HOWEVER the ruiner has blind spots (rear, the top) so when a pilot takes advantage of that the ruiner Will lose.

There is no absolute king when it comes to the 2 vehicles. The speed and Cannon range when targeting the ruiner's blindspot (even On the vip one) makes up for the very fast and accurate missiles the car has. But when a pilot doesn't know about blind spots and the jet has lock On it makes up for the speed and cannons the jet has.

All it comes down to is which position both vehicles are in when in battle.

Heck i can do lot's of damage still when in the tank.

Bridges are a very good spot for taking down jets with the tank. (Still want a stronger new tank though)

If you reverse up in the ruiner then jump it you can sit it on it's butt vertically and kill any Hydra comming in steep quite simply. There's no blind spot.

This is true. I have connected a couple of times this way.

Some of us avoid players on foot and I am OTR as often as the game allows.

After having played the VIP Ruiner a few times, I've learned a couple things that really stick out to me, just random thoughts:

1. Shoot a jet once, he dies. Shoot him twice, you kill him. A distinction with a difference ;-)

2. When the 2-man insurgent comes, get out of the Ruiner and start shooting, and hope you get both of them before they run you over or shoot you. You will always kill at least one of them if not both this way. Or you can just avoid them by jumping bridges and going onto different streets, which negates the insurgent's slight speed advantage, if they even have one.

3. Off the radar and ghost work very well. Wasn't sure if it would be the type of situation where like if you go off the radar while carrying special cargo or driving a hold the wheel or something like that, your icon still shows and it's funny because you can still find them when they think you can't.

4. When someone else kills someone else within a few blocks of where you're driving, regardless of your speed or lack thereof, be very careful because Rockstar likes to spawn the player right ahead of you, and they always seem to have the machine gun firing bullets at you as they come back to life. If you killed someone, don't worry, Rockstar will spawn them away from you. It's the others that you have to be careful of. They get you every time. The only thing I can tell you is to just watch the radar and jump as soon as you see the blip, but on multiple occasions I have been shot by a newly spawned player before they even show up on the radar.

5. Wearing a bulletproof helmet doesn't help reduce your risk of being shot while driving the VIP Ruiner.

6. Unless the jet griefer is talented enough to fly directly down from above and shoot at you, the jet is toast against the Ruiner. And even in the former scenario, they do have to pull up, and you can maybe get a shot off sometimes and disable them.

7. I highly recommend you place a prox bomb in the middle of the helipad driveway and over at the base of the west ladder of the hospital, the two most popular Hydra spawn points. This will further frustrate those who want to try to fight back against you. The cool thing is that ever since they introduced prox bombs, the prox bombs stay, magically regenerating even after having exploded, as long as you (the player who placed them) aren't "around" (for lack of a better term) when they go off. Also I think they have to explode via someone coming into proximity with them for them to magically regenerate. If someone spies them and shoots them, then I think they are gone for good. You might want to recruit your best friends as associates if they are in the lobby when you do this, or at least warn them to watch for prox, otherwise you will be getting some kills against your crewmates and friends that you would rather not have.

8. Be careful not to shoot your crew. When set to strangers, it won't lock onto friends but will lock onto crew.

9. Everyone goes on foot and hangs out with each other within minutes of me launching the Ruiner VIP mission. Not much I can do with the car when they do that. But a nice option that seems counterintuitive is to call for your tank and then go ghost and just shoot all the players on foot, who tend to congregate, by the way. So you just leave your Ruiner sit idle and take advantage of the 20-minute window to go on a tank rampage where the cops never end your party early, and you never get bad sport points nor insurance payments for all the destruction you cause. I suppose you could do that with a hydra, as well. I'd only do that if I look at the map and no one in the entire southern half is driving a car, and everyone is congregated.

Hey, someone should try this, and I'm down to help if you want to PM me: Get a cargobob and then start Ruiner VIP and see if a friend can pick up the Ruiner with the cargobob and then you sit in the ruiner and just spam missiles at everyone and everything. Although the cargo is an easy homing missile target, so maybe that is not a good idea after all.

hardly a challenge is it , that ruiner isnt even trying to kill the pilot of the buzzard, hes just trying to jump on the roof lolz , that buzzard would be toast if that player had any intent to kill

True.

However, you can't fault HappyHunters approach for a second. I know he's a good pilot anyway, but that approach was textbook, and the hovering overhead so the Ruiner couldn't get a lock is absolutely the way to go, so Kudos.

sorry if i came across as faulting the pilot , i wasnt . was merely pointing out the fact that had the ruiner driver been worth his sauce that buzzard would be toast , as already pointed out a quick jump on to the rear bumper and missile fires straight up , no blind spot if used with any sort of skill.

It's offensive capabilities are off the charts, but they go down as easily as any Kuruma or Insurgent. Plus, they're slow and they handle like sh*t.

The Ruiner 2000 is an absolute beast in Fully Loaded!

How many hits can this thing take? I took out the turreted limos AND two tanks, and the third tank left the session when he saw me coming at him again. Bonkers in a great sort of way.

It kind of justifies the price-tag though.

Pretty fast once you get her going. It takes way more damage than either of those vehicles.

@Jenkiiii. 18 rpgs. My friend and I tested it.

a quick jump on to the rear bumper and missile fires straight up

It can fire straight up, though I'm not entirely sure it can lock onto things directly above it. Usually in jet dogfights, etc. aircraft (in my experience) seem to have a hard time locking onto stuff completely below or above - needs to be somewhat level-ish. I'd gladly be proven wrong though.

The handling takes some getting used to. I could barely drive it when I first started. Now I'm doing 'killer' 180s like it's a Super. Things a beast. Just don't use it when it's raining.

Am I missing something? I've shot the driver out of more of those things than I care to count, and one RPG did the trick if I was feeling spiteful. Granted, I've only blown up two, but still...

I'm surprised people don't run it more often. I run it as much as I can, and haven't seen anybody run it in my lobbies except once, back before I started this thread and bought the Ruiner.

The Ruiner is a death trap in auto-aim sessions so when I get that feeling I just go to a free-aim session. If you're in auto aim explosives won't do much, I would recommend force feeding them lead then, once their full blow up the ruiner. Follow them to their new armoured ruiner and repeat.

So in Fully Loaded the Ruiner respawns if destroyed? So if someone is legitimately trying to beat that CEO work, the only way to fail is the timer, I'm assuming?

Trust me, it's easy to fail that one solo. A player has to be in the ruiner for the targets to show up, and you have to destroy 10 targets spread all over the map. You'd think it's easy, but I failed my first 2 times.

And as soon as a single player comes to interverene and sets you back as little as a minute, you can easily fail.

Terrible traction, lack of a quick-gps option for targets, a bunch of targets to eliminate. Targets in Karin technicals will shred you (one got a one-hit-kill on me when I was doing a backflip a block away). OH and don't forget the one time a target spawned on top of mount f*cking chilliad. Not only did i waste five minutes trying to get up there (it was raining), there was a player waiting for me as well. The target vehicle also slipped halfway down the mountain. So I decided to bunny hop over with a parachute and fire to rockets to be on my way. NOPE, soon as that f*cking target came into view I got killed (target was behind a rock so f*ck my missles). Then upon respawn the target killed me twice and the other player killed me 3 times. Finally blew the target up with the RPG and got my ruiner back. But wait... there's more! Bunny hop and parachute down mt chilliad only to realise i have 1.5 minute to kill 3 targets spread all over blaine county. Fail, use the last 20 seconds before self destruct to get the hell of that mountain with the parachute. Get sniped near the end by that same player, only to see the ruiner blow up mid parachute because of the self destruct. Holy sh*t I was pissed right then, wanted to murder the dude who invented that VIP work. But now I like it, it's actually challenging if done solo.

It was alot of fun though dodging players by switching highways or taking a shortcut through zancudo, only to do that epic bunny hop over the fence and wind up behind the chasing player. High octane stuff I tells ya

Shooting players out easy is a Auto AIm thing. But the vehicle does have plenty of weakness to exploit.

But really.. The Ruiner 2000 is easy to defeat. Not just the PV version.. But the FL version too.

While the FL version can take more of a beating. Time is just not on the FL versions side.. and neither is easy access.

A FL version biggest weakness is time. Anytime I see a player trolling with a FL version and targeting me, i just run the clock out and become an impossible target. Put a bounty on them to avoid passive use after time expires, send some messages to bait them a bit.... Then go Ghost when they have about 20 seconds left. Usually timed out right i can get the drop on them right as their time expires. Basically... flip their sh*t on them.

This really kind of annoys players.. Because they end up wasting all that time for nothing..only to get killed when it was all over. `

They do get a bit over excited when i play hard target. Laughing about me running.. taunting me.. But if the plan is RUN OUT THE CLOCK. Trash talking won't change that. Clock needs to be run down. It is what it is..

The fact that you ran to your office is laughable enough.. Leaving the game is is awesome. You just went from hyper aggressive to sad puppy in a few mins.

What's so laughable, I just go from lobby to lobby character to character. I have no need to be visible to scrubs like you :). It's called continued play, continued agression, not wait 20 minutes to hope for one kill against someone that just got 40, who the f*ck stays in a lobby that long, it's dead after fully loaded anyway.

I did have a some 40 minute battle with a VERY good Hydra pilot today, he messaged me after 40 minutes and said " you are invincible, well played ". I messaged him back and said he was the best pilot I'd seen. We were zero kills each in the end. He had my insurgent smoking a few times. Almost got him with a thrown sticky but not quite. I did kill his ground crew tons but not the leader in his hydra.

But, Vooodu... There are people like me who are very good at any aspect of fighting in this game. And, I mean VERY good. I am a 2 steps ahead thinker when I am battling. I love doing the Fully Loaded R2K mission as a change of pace and a way to just troll. I know people like me are rare, but they do exist. When the "clock strikes 12", I go back to literally ruining everything without a ruiner. Know what I mean? However, I also want you to know that I totally see your point. There are plenty of pansies who just use that and once it's gone (or they are taken out of it), they leave. I lol every time... It's really all I can do anyway after they leave.
