  1. 1. Do you create your character's look to resemble yourself or your ideal self?

    • Resemble myself as closely as possible

    • Resemble an ideal look I want but not achievable in real life

My best friend made his character look just like himself irl, he's a good looking guy but it's creepy AF to play with him for me. It actually affects me more to see him get wounded because he looks like himself, it's weird.

Personally I tend to make older characters than myself, not sure why... Looks more "experienced" I guess.

I get what you mean, when I see myself die now, it does affect me a little.

I was thinking perhaps there is some psychological explanation, like in your case, perhaps you wish to appear more mature to people in real life

lol never thought of it that way but you're probably right :)

Hey duskpanthers, welcome to GTAForums.

You'll find similar answers to your question here:

Your GTA online character looks like you?

How close did you get your character to look like yourself?

To answer the question tho:

The PS3 version of my character was modeled after me, then he was ruined upon transferring to PS4 and I gave up on that idea.

My character only has my eye color, haircut and facial hair, the small details. It would be too much of a hassle to make his whole appearance look like me.

slimeball supreme

I play characters, always. It's never a representation of me, personally I don't find that very interesting anyways.

So... neither.

NO BECAUSE THERE IS NO BALD HAIRSTYLE FOR MEN DESPITE IT BEING THE ONLY HAIRSTYLE THAT IS UNIVERSALLY & NATURALLY OBTAINABLE BY EVERY MAN ON THE PLANET.

Unless he has no head.

My answer is no but you don't have that option on the poll.

I'm a guy, my second character is a girl, I don't want to be a girl. mZSBXxc.jpg

I don't wear dress shirts/jackets/sunglasses/don't have tattoos

I also don't wear facepaints beerhats or hazmat suits.

I would never get tattoos or at least it's not something I'm interested in doing anytime soon. I don't wear paperbags on my head and I wouldn't shave a smiley face into my chest... ok maybe that last one might be something I'd do.

I've had 4 characters in total. The only one that didn't look like me was my Mackelmore challenge. The other 3 are noted by various people as being fairly accurate. Of course nose, eye, ear dimensions are off a bit, but I love being able to do everything as myself. Plus I've actually somewhat changed my style IRL based off of clothing style choices I've made in game.

Character customization in this game sucks ass. It's so bad that females look like tranny's most of the time.

I ended up just putting an orange balaclava on and calling it a day.

Before they overhauled the whole system, it used to be almost a complete mystery as to what you looked like and what your stats are at. New players have it easy lol.

Besides the shaved head and goatee that's about it.

Which is exactly how I imagined you. Sure does explain a lot!

Extrapolate. Entertain me with some more nonsense.

My character resembles me in 7 years. Simple.

(Yes, go ahead, bitch and moan that I'm 14 and playing mature rated games. The world's f*cked and you know it. Also, I'm not retarded so there's another thing.)

Idk. I'll let you know in 50 years if we end up looking alike.

My character resembles the current me if I was a high stakes criminal/ pmc paramilitary guy. My face would be alittle different and my attitude would be more hardened and ruthless.

I think I did a pretty good job considering the limitations of the GTA character creation screen.

I made mine look as close-ish as I could without getting to damn bored by the amount of time I spent doing it.

A number of my friends did the same but have a better looking, less fat version with better hair.... although thinking about it, they might also say the same about mine!
