555 We Tip San Andreas problem

I'm playing through San Andreas on PC. Everything was fine until I got to the "555 We Tip" mission. Right after CJ calls the police out front of the hotel, the game just hangs. The game doesn't straight out crash, but the screen just turns black. I can hear the wind from the game and Alt-Tabbing out and back into the game leads to the pause menu. Exiting this doesn't fix anything. Can anyone help me? If anyone is willing to do the mission on their own save file, I will post my save game to Dropbox for someone to complete it and post it to their own Dropbox. That would be appreciated.

I do believe certain car mods ( if installed ) will cause this and possibly saving the game after using any of the pedestrian behavior cheats.

Thanks for the tip, mate. I have a beta mod installed which modifies many cars. I'll try putting it else where and doing the mission with the regular gta3.img.

If the police cars are modded the game will fail to load them during that cut scene. Def remove the mods all together.

All I did was reinstall the game and put my beta stuff elsewhere. I finished the mission and reinstalled everything back without problems.

There seems to be the unfortunate misunderstanding that this part (GTA San Andreas) has modding as a feature.

Take Note (as in this section forums rules) That MODDING has its OWN specialized section.

The GTA San Andreas Menu “Subforums” even lists it as: GTA Mods.
