Oh, my bad. Looks like the post was updated with a link to complete PS2 audio instead of only one fixed FM in wav format.

Though, it's from 1.40, yes

Talking about sound does anyone know if the SFX from the ps2 version are higher quality than the ones from the pc?

By the way which audio configuration is the best for this game?

Time for another bugreport.

GTA III

For some weird reason this plugin forces special vehicles (Police, Fbicar, Enforcer, Barracks, rhino, but not Ambulance and Firetruck) that use police radio (police.vb/wav file) to have "head radio" text when player enters such car. I can't say what asi causes this (audio_samples or vbdec) because one can't work without other.

gts.

Are you using Radio For All Vehicles script?

I'm pretty sure that's caused by Ginput since I recall fixing it.

Interesting, is VBDec dependant on Ginput somehow? When I remove just two VBDec's asis - the radio text doesn't appear.

Re-tested today and really this text also doesn't appear if I leave VBDec but remove Ginput

That's weird. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't VBDec just allow the game to read VB files (and ADF as well), and Audio Samples only redirect the game to different files, something you can do by editing the executable? No idea how they can possibly cause this bug.

First sorry for bump.

Second, I installed the mod as the OP explained it, but when I start Vice City or GTA III, both games asks me for the second CD. I have an 1.0 exe in both games.

Have you made sure to edit audio-samples.ini in your audio folder to point to the changes?

Yes, but I only modified the extension of the radio stations in the ini file. I left the others untouched

OK so if you've ONLY changed the radio stations then yes you only need to edit the stuff you've changed, is audio_samples.asi in the correct location (the root or scripts folder)?

Root folder in both games, as explained in main post. (I mean that in the ini file, I changed the extension that's listed, like the main post say. (vrock.ADF to vrock.VB))

Install SilentPatch to get rid of cd error.

I said it's working on steam 1.1 version without problems.

Also I installed silentpatch but nothing changed. It looks like game is still reading audio files from .iso because if I delete .mp3's and .ADF's I'm getting insert cd prompt until I mount cd2.

EDIT: It finally works with .exe from different game download link. Previously I tested 2 cracks: one from retail installation media I downloaded and one from gamecopywrld. Both were for version 1.0 but not working properly.

[VB]sample_rate=16000stereo=1 ; 1 - Stereo, 0 - Mono

This is what I put in VCPR.ini

I assume the fact it's all in one line is a typo?

Its all in one line

Then it shouldn't be, it needs to be a valid INI file.

The file name is VCPR.ini. Its a valid ini file as im able to edit in, though even with said tweak to work at 16000hzit doesn't work on my end.

As mentioned by Silent, it shouldn't be all on one line. Just because you can edit it doesn't make it valid for the format that the plugin is expecting, which is to have a single setting per line.

Is there any way for me to actually convert .vb files? Because that's what I want to do.
