Take your time learning what you want. I am sure it will benefit you in your modding carreer. hope to see some progress someday again, since I really love this map mod!

I really love the countryside mod too. The map looks so good and professional. It would be a pity if you cancel the development. In general I'm not a friend of mods, but this one I would install. So I hope for updates soon! :)

Don't worry about the mod, it has long breaks very often. You won't get updates soon though.

normally i dont care that much about mods, but i gotta say this concept is awsesome.

i know you take long break very often, but when you continue on this i hope you can make a lot of progress, would love to see this thing finished sometime next year.

This certaingly looks lovely. Besides usual country-side exploration, is there anything planned activity/side content wise? (Sorry if it has been asked before, both the old thread and this are quite long to look from start-to-finish)

I don't have time to make that, sorry. Maybe someone else would like to create such. Alternatively you can wait for the GTA Underground mod to include this map, I'm sure the creators will add some activities.

There's actually a very in depth plot with character development and foreshadowing to the 10th degree, you just need a very active imagination.

Ah silly me, I should had noticed, the villain's identity was hinted with the cows and traffic signs from act 1 all along! How could I had been so blind?

Can you update the first post please ? Last edited seems to be February 10th 2017 and now we're at January 13th 2019. I would also ask for a download but I guess it's probably isn't finished yet. Take your time I ain't own you anything.

So you mean ug devs can finish this map if they need instead of you? Sounds promising..

Like I hinted in this topic, I'd potentially be very willing to code a few activities for this island, but of course first the map needs to have its final layout for this.

 

Makes me think if Taxi missions is doable there, as that would be a part of Shoreside Vale as far as the game is concerned. But no matter what, checkpoint missions (and maybe rampages?) are perfectly viable.

That'd be great but like you said it has to be finished. I'm currently working on Ghost Town, it's the closest to completion part of the map. Will show progress in a few days.

Actually the map would be on all of the 3 island zones, Ghost Town would be on Portland's one. You'd have to add a fourth one or some workaround to get it working.

Fourth island would be the cleanest naturally, but that would be "disastrous" for save compatibility - both new SCM and an ASI hook would be required for that!

 

Do you plan to distribute a modified SCM anyway?

Will there be more dirt tracks? i am just asking. (i hope yes) also those dirt tracks remind me of FlatOut (which i played a lot in my cousin's ps2).

That severely limits the range of possibilities, namely new destinations for Taxi missions may become tricky/impossible to do etc.
