Claude and maybe Niko are the only normal looking parent options

Going through this list it looks like I'm going through the most ugliest people on the planet list. Like, what the f*ck, they look like they have some problems. Half of parents look like they do crack or meth or both. Claude looks somewhat normal, probably explains why everyone looks the same, beacuse everyone has Claude as their parent. Out of female (for male character) it's either Sophia for normal look or anyone else for methhead look. I'm just trying to create a normal looking white male character. WHY IS IT SO HARD ROCKSTAR

For females Misty parent also looks normal, as long as you make the lips bigger than default.

You are right. I sometimes use Misty too. It seems that only parents from Rockstar games universe are normal ones, well, maybe except for Marston. He looks normal on the photo, but created character can look weird with him.

Claude? Anybody who chooses him as a parent ends up with a caveman forehead and an isosceles triangle-shaped chin. The Claude in this game looks nothing like the original Claude. As for Niko, you get a huge inflated nose, and you'll still look nothing like him if you try to resemble him as much as possible.

 

I'll add to Jack's photo of how bad Rockstar is at making characters, just look at the guy on the right for God's sake.

Pretty obvious most players who chose Claude didn't care about their character and just chose him because he's the youngest.

I use to play with a white female.

For me the best mothers are Sophia and Natalie.

As fathers I use Benjamin, John or Diego. I usually don't put 100% on the mother. 50% minimum.

 

Amelia is not so bad...

Also Evan and Anthony, or Alex...

I tried so much mixes. Since we got the 100k feature it's like an activity for me to modify my character, like racing or such xD.

 

I don't understand why they came up with that parents thing. At first it seemed to be a good idea but the system is too limited. I'm glad they added a few options in current gen consoles and PC but it's still kinda crap.

The character...ahem..."customisation" is poor. Why not make it like Saints Row? Much more easier, and you can even get a good looking character without even trying. Before people jump in and say "BUT GAMINGPRO, ITS NOT SAINTS ROW!", I didn't say it was. Just make character customisation actual customisation and without having to use ugly presets. R*, you're starting to make me regret wanting character customisation.

I only really pay attention to the eyes and the mouth. Most other ugly features can be adjusted pretty well.

whoever designed the character creation for this game needs a nice hard punch in the balls. How hard could it have been to just give us normal sliders like any other game? And the worst part is almost all the parents that don't look like drug addicts look like actual orcs.

The concept of basing our characters appearance off a parent set seemed like an interesting new way to approach it, but when 90% of people's characters all look the same, clearly it limits the actual individuality aspect of game immersion. Nothing worse than joining a match and seeing three other blokes around you that look just like you, except one is doing the Jerk gesture, the other is doing Jazz Hands, and the other is doing Finger in the Hole. <sigh>

 

Here's my second character, which looks awfully similar to Shao Kahn's, above. Maybe they're related. Hmm.

Claude is probably the worst parent to use. The only time i've used him was when i tried to create Tyrion

 

 

 

I have to admit that the character creator doesn't offer as much freedom as the ones being used in Saints Row but it's still pretty decent. The problem is that a lot of people don't use the parent slider which is probably the key to creating unique characters. There's still going to be similarities among characters that are sharing the same heritage but working with the sliders can change that quite a bit. After playing around with every parent settings (yes, i used to play alot of sims lol) i found out that every parent can create decent normal looking beings except for 2 or 3 parents. But then again people got different taste, so who am i to judge...

Probably cause most of the parents are middle agey and corrupt looking. Wasn't the best idea for everyone but for some they make it work anyway. Maybe it will be way better on GTAO2.
