I think we are playing a different game.

You write: "where items usually cost 5 Million" not counting the gold junk, there are two items that cost $5 million or more, the Yacht and the Ruiner. Maybe you just don't know what usually means.

None of your response address my main point, which is, over a long enough time frame, you will get the money you need for anything that you want. What generally happens, though, is that people who don't like the game all that much get bored of it quickly, so they don't want to put that time in (which is totally justifiable, as the game is 3 years old and the basic game play mechanics have not changed all that much). It took me months to earn the money for the Yacht, But since I enjoyed playing the game, didn't get in a hurry, it was not a "grind" for me. (thanks to info on this board, I knew it was coming and did it before it was released rather than after. But that is the advantage of information).

I think there are a lot of people who love the graphics, but don't really enjoy the game play all that much. For some reason, those people can't just let the game go..

I get what "usually" means. Perhaps usually is the wrong word, along with the 5 Million price tag. A decent amount of things in the game cost a bunch though, more than would be a reasonable price which is the problem me and several others have noticed. Lowriders are the most obvious example. It seems like every new update makes things more expensive which is why people grind. I grind using Import/Export so I'd have the cash in case the next update brings something cool to buy, something that won't happen as easily by mixing things up like you said. If buying a yacht took you months and you love mixing it up, it definitely will take longer for someone who dislikes that play style to do the same since they will "take breaks" in freeroam which may waste cash and time. Mixing it up is more of a preference obviously.

I get what you're saying though. Like you said, if you're having fun then you probably won't notice. If you're not looking to purchase anything then things like deathmatch and LTS are actually fun. It gives you stuff to do and all that. But the problem is that it's not a very good money making method in the long run which is why people argue against it a lot. I feel Import/Export honestly feels better at being a money making method in the long run even if it is a grind.

I am sure you know this, but what is a reasonable price is highly subjective.

Fair question that I asked on another thread, but if one really doesn't enjoy game play a lot (or sees it as a grind to get money to buy things), why would you even do it? Surely you notice that you get new shiny fake object, play with it for a bit, then get bored, no (especially if what you do is something you either don't enjoy much or are burned out on)? I have never understood why someone would do this. I don't find it a grind, so earning money to get those things isn't painful for me. When I get them, it enhances playing a game I already enjoy (and don't get me wrong, a key component of this is the semi-regular DLC's that have dropped. Had they not, I too would have been bored a while ago). See what I am getting at here?

While it's true fairness of the price of an item can be subjective from person to person, there's still a line. We can't honestly think that paying 20K for a bobblehead for your car is a fair trade or 45K for a normal everyday biker jacket is reasonable. The game used to have fairness in it's pricing. The Kuruma was a steal honestly, I actually think it should've costed more considering how useful it is. Most of the stuff pre-Lowriders was fair, even IGG was fairer (but not by much) since it was designed to be a cash splurge for rich people.

There are parts to Online that are still fun. Player interactions, playing with friends, the rare time you actually get into a chaotic game mode, etc. We're not going to stop playing because of the money issues. Not wanting to throw the baby out with the bath water so to speak. We will however take issue with the problems when they arise.
