GTA 5 Ships 75 Million Copies

The logic behind P2P causing connection issues is perfectly sound. In a P2P environment you need to maintain a connection with every single player in your session and vice versa. With dedicated servers you only need to maintain a connection to the server itself to get info on player positions and all that.

 

A reliance on P2P systems is also the main reason why cheats are so prolific.

She's said about the multiple platforms she has the game on a few times - just felt like it should be pointed out, since obviously she's paid more than enough for the game (you were suggesting otherwise, or at least giving a vibe to that effect).

 

As for whose fault it was the game was inflicted upon her multiple times, that's besides the point - point is she didn't expect to pay nothing for the game. 2/3 X $60 is a fair bit.

 

also those network issues are not universal, I dnt get them, some people do, some dont.....logic would state that maybe its not actually R* s fault

The majority of people I see are affected by them, and of the small few who claim they aren't - well, a lot of them are just trolls anyway.

I don't have problems anymore like that. I thought it was them, well it was when heist came out but found it was my equipment.

 

Either your ping is going out of control or it's your equipment itself.

It'd show that Rockstar don't just see their playerbase as a bunch of rubes that exist just to purchase shark cards every now and then, and heavily improve one of the largest problems with Online.

Mods that's why. Body replacers/custom rgb/modded unique cars. Things u can't get in vanilla. That's why I got it 4x.

 

But yea I'm just buying a steam key/used from a 3rd party next r* game if anything like how they treated with gta online.

The network code should be fairly small and easily replacable in reality. If they had any intention of improving the game they would have already done it.

And glad to hear that GTAO will get more updates in future and they don't have plans to stop their support according to RDR2.

It's a lot easier to just ignore the problems with the game and be a total fanboy, you're right. And it's just 'nonsense' that there's a 1/3 chance each loading screen will either result in a connection error or just a straight up freeze and require a restart of the whole game.
