The Most Practical Super Car

Recommended Posts

Never, EVER buy the Itali GTB unless you prefer to torture yourself with disappointing model quality and mediocre performance (as shown on this post).

Better end up with either Nero (or custom if you prefer the Vision Gran Turismo version) or Tempesta. Former looks gorgeous and latter has one of the best traction in Super class.

Why are the custom versions less then the normal versions? How do you get said custom versions?

Hey there possible car experts, I was just wondering on what would be the most practical super car. By Practical I mean factors such as:

-Acceleration

-Damage it can sustain as well as how big the windows for people to shoot through

-Turning/Breaking

-Appearance/Customization

-Cost

Now there is a specific reason I did not include top speed. That is because I have a budget of 1-2 million and really lap times for each super car in that range has a very, very small difference, while (if you are not a perfect driver) acceleration is much more important as it will allow you to start much quicker in case you crash in an open world lobby or race.

Another factor I was researching is the cost of the insurance in case you destroy the car. The reason being is because with the car I'm currently using (The Free Elegy RH8 because I bought a buzzard recently) has a cost of $1100 for insurance so people are not afraid to destroy it and create inconvenience for me to do 2 phone calls to get it back. While while I drive my friend's t20 I noticed that a lot more people don't use sticky bombs to destroy the car simply because Im guessing that the insurance cost is much, much more.

Anyway, since I'm no car expert I thought I would ask you guys for what car is most practical for 1-2 mil.

Thanks for any help.

Zentorno is the best car for the budget and a top competitor still amongst supers, plus has no rear window for being shot at.

The custom versions aren't cheaper, they're more expensive. It's the base version cost plus the upgrade cost at Benny's.

One has to take the base version to Benny's or CEO mechanic and upgrade to custom variant.

The Nero is a fantastic racer, a credible threat on any course. It's a big car though, so free roam traffic will be more of a problem. Itali gtb is vulnerable to gunfire from the back. The tempesta will be great in free roam but less useful in races. It's small(ish), quick, and has about the best traction out there, so it'll do well both in traffic and tight, technical races. Most of the time though, a Nero will blow it away, especially in stunt tracks. Which is your priority? Get both

Different strokes for different folks man, it's my favorite super. Love how the custom looks and even though it feels way light on it's feet I find it a blast to drive.

Definitely not the most "practical" super, that's for sure though lol.

Forgot to mention, what does everyone think of the FMJ?

The FMJ is decent. But I personally would recommend the Zentorno or Nero. The Zentorno is basically what everyone else says, but the Nero is perfect IMO. It looks great, has great speed and acceleration, traction is good, and has a sexy automatic spoiler. You can also take it to Benny's and make it a racer.

The FMJ is a rather nice car to drive and to look at, along with some decent costumisation. You could use it for racing as well, although it's not as good as something like Nero or the RE-7B. However, it's rather expensive for what it is. I personally wouldn't recommend it, unless you really like the design of it.

I like the T20 and Nero best. Perfect handling and very fast cars.

Zentorno is a good choice as well if you want an allround car for less money.

Like mentioned by someone else, all supercars are very common, so there's no 'original' choice.

Just a couple things, thanks everyone for all the replies.

Here are some of my own opinions and you guys can correct me if I'm wrong.

First of all as I mentioned in my thread personally my budget is 1-2mil as I can get that in a 1-2 days from doing import/export.

Second of all, for VIP missions I just use a buzzard and that should be the very first big vehicle purchase EVERYONE should do.

Combine that with a CEO and you have a FREE buzzard which you can spawn WHENEVER you want.

Anyway since I already have a buzzard I thought I would get a decent car now.

-Turismo R I've heard although it is cheap but the back of the car (with the engine) can be easily exposed by gunfire therefore being easily destroyed.

-Pfister 811 back slides while turning which makes it quite bad for free roam and races

-T20 For what you get, the 2.2 mil is not that worth it

-Bestia GTS has large windows

-Zentorno 'snaps' as it turns.

What I've been considering to get is the.

-Tempesta (1.3 mil)

-Itali GTB (1.2 mil)

-Itali GTB Custom (500k) (what's the difference)

-Nero (1.5 mil)

-Nero Custom (600k) (what's the difference)

-Cheetah

Not sure about the entity yet.

The ETR1....? It's such a beautiful car! Check out the appreciation page for it. It costs just under £2mil and you'll need around £300,000 to fully upgrade it. (Only 3 high-end import/export missions).

Personally I find that the ETR1 is a hard car to control, and makes it hard to use in free roam.

On another note I was looking at a drag race on the biggest runway in LSIA between a custom Nero and a T20, and the T20 actually won by a bit as the acceleration at the very start, while the nero custom was only just catching up at the end. Basically the top speed of the Nero is not needed during free roam. One other question

T20 or RE-7B?

I'd recommend the Zentorno or Tempersta to anyone looking for a super car on a budget. Both are easy to drive and have great all around performance. Not the fastest in a straight line, but the trade off for great handling and acceleration is worth it, IMO.

While I don't own an Itali GTB or Nero, I got to try both at a friend's place and loved both. The GTB (which was the normal version) felt a lot like the Tempesta and was really easy to drive. The Nero (which was a custom) surprised me to the point where I actually considered buying one, even though I wasn't interested when it first released.

Edit: I really like the FMJ, although the acceleration is on the low end. Will buy one after I finish my Grotti collection.

Relatively true statements. But let me break it to you from another perspective. Turismo, while the engine can get exposed, has great acceleration. Meaning if you're in free roam and someone is trying to gun you down, just beat em around the corners. It's a lot easier done than said, believe it or not. 811 is the opposite. The acceleration isn't fantastic, but it has the highest top speed. Great for mostly straight races and if you're trying to outrun someone on an interstate and it's quite good for stunt races as well. It just has a large learning curve. T20 is my second favorite performing super currently. For 2.2 million I win races at level 39 against people in the hundreds just because I adapted the driving style of it. I beat the records I had with the zentorno and Tempesta with the T20. The back window is very small so it'll be hard to be shot. It has nearly no customization but that's good because it looks great already and you won't be wasting a bunch of money on useless mods imo. Hate the Itali. Bestia is a sports car and it's fun to drive but easy to lose races with. The window issue isn't a big issue if you're used to it. Zentorno has very easy to correct oversteer so don't let it "snapping" around corners steer you away from it. The acceleration will come in handy for if you spin out. Nero is decent, but to me it feels like a wider T20 with less acceleration. Cheetah is great, the first super I owned, you can use the front as a ramp, superb handling. Don't expect to win many races. If you want a fun to drive Super with customization that isn't ridiculously gaudy and can still do well in races, definitely check out the FMJ. It's my favorite super currently and it looks great in most every color. It's the most unique looking out of the supers without being ridiculously ugly like the X80 imo. Tons of fun all around. Highly suggest that beast.

I'd take the T20 over the RE-7B. The AWD layout gives it more power up hills and on slippery terrain. Plus, there's no wheel spin when taking off.

I personally love the Osiris. It looks great, performs well and its on discount right now. It has tons of modifications and you can come up with some really cool color schemes. The Turismo is really the best value for money and it gives you some spare cash to have another super or even a luxury vehicle if you feel like it.

Alright, the most practical super car is...

Well, since you did mention looks and cost it's really difficult to tell you what supercar is the most practical. Because I don't know what you like/what your budget is.

So let me answer this question the best I can:

1: Get a car that is AWD. RWD is fine for racing, however it won't do you any good in free-mode. It's difficult to drive off-road and can be difficult to control while going over bumpy roads.

2: Get a car that can take some punishment. Make sure you get bulletproof tires and 100% armour. Another recommendation I have is: don't get a super car with a gigantic hood (like the Turismo R and Osiris). Because if you lose that hood your entire engine will be exposed which makes it easy to hit for both NPC's and players.

3. Get something that isn't too light. Don't get a x80 for example, it's to light compared to other supercars which makes it less stable on bumpy roads and makes it difficult to force other cars out of the way.

4. Use offroad wheels. Not because this will give you more traction on/off road, but because it makes a lot of supercars significantly better over any kind of bumps. This makes it easier to stay in control of the car. But: if you really dislike to looks of offroad tires than go with lowrider, mucle or tuner wheels. These will have the same effect, but just a little les noticeable.

So here is a list I recommend choosing from:

T20

Tempesta

Zentorno

Nero (or Nero Custom)

Personally I think the Buzzard is the best vehicle in free-mode, but I would go with the T20 if I would use a supercar. Because of the looks and performance.

But at the end of the day, you get to pick your car.

(You can get custom variant's of certain cars by upgrading them at Benny's.)

Thanks for any help.

If going by your specifications i can only think about the Zentorno.....or the Tempesta if you really need something that drives itself.

Still, i would really call the Truffade Nero custom overall the most practical car currently ingame.

I pick the custom btw because the spoiler can not break off on that one, while on the regular version it can.

Also i consider top speed more because most stunt races top speed is more important and this car has a great top speed while still being on par with the cars in this class that are better at cornering, like the zentorno and tempesta and to go in freeroam fast from point A to B, in general top speed also matters(more then you think)

Besides that it is still easy as hell to drive, easier then the zentorno IMO, the weight makes it hard to pit and it stick to the ground really well when going for an example somewhat offroad and it has, unlike the tempesta, no back window to get shot trough.

though the cost is pretty high, i think it is worth it.

I got all 3 though, but the zentorno is more something when really on a budget and the tempesta is more for people that have a bigger budget but absolutly cant drive well and do not play a lot, thus will never be any good of a driver at all anyhow.

And again, the nero custom is still a really easy handling vehicle anyhow....for sure it handles better then the zentorno.

Though like said, if you want to drive a practical vehicle that is not to common in this class, you are gonna have a hard time.

edit: woops, to late :p
