Anti - Hydra / Lazer Stealth Plane Petition

#gitgud Been killed by one jet in the last year (and I am almost exclusively in free mode) and that was because I wasn't paying attention, on me. But that's because I don't suck at the game.

ha, ha. Nope. Plenty of better players than me out there, that is for sure. Get my ass handed to me from time to time. Went out with the guy that taught me some of the finer points in the Hydra recently (he taught me a year ago), and he schooled me again. What I don't do is cry about it to Rock Star and in forums. But, I don't like being helpless, maybe that's just me.

Absolutely is. Noticed you cut the rest of my post out, because, well, I raised good points I guess that's what people do these days.

 

While nothing in this game is particularly hard, getting good at the Hydra so that you can kill in the city is the hardest thing to perfect in this game. It's why only about 1-2% of jet griefers are worth a sh*t. But Epileptic tumbling squirrel with his auto aim ain't gonna admit it.

 

 

 

Well avoiding jets.. is not a problem. Playing certain aspects of the game while a jet troll is all over your ass is next to impossible.

 

 

Feel free to put your money where your mouth is..

 

Go ahead and ask some jet pilots to attack you.. then go do something other then AVOID them.. And record it.

 

Then come back and talk sh*t..

id rather just have my blip not show up.. to jets. That alone would make jets less of a trolls toy.

 

 

Having to go get another jet .. to deal with another jet. Only because that jet is horribly unbalanced due to explosive cannons and always on blips.. Just seems overly complicated in a game like GTA.

Rockstar needs to nerf the jets in one of several ways. Problem solved.

 

I would use my Hydra a lot more if it didn't pose a constant griefing threat to other players. At the moment I stay well clear of most planes in GTA online, instead of just grabbing one and having fun.

 

Here the opposite, i am using my hydra all the time because it is so overpowered and can do pretty much anything i want it to do, but i would not hate it if suddenly it would only be useful for easy transport and killing NPC's and vehicle drivers.

 

 

You are out of your mind. Who is paying $3 million for that? The game has been an urban warfare game with escalating weapons since its inception. The Hydra is balanced because it has an egg shell exterior and explodes on contact with pretty much everything, and even use of the explosive rounds requires that you point straight down while traveling at high speeds. If you can't avoid 98% of the jet pilots in the city, you aren't good at the game. Truth is, most just don't want to be bothered. Sounds like a you problem...

 

 

Sounds like you have a serious cash problem if you think $3M for the Hydra is a lot of money. It's very cheap for a vehicle of this might and power.

tbh there's no need for another jet. I feel that players would abuse the stealth capabilities of the jet for griefing. Even if there are no explosive cannons on it, there are some skilled pilots that can use the missiles without the need for a lock-on.

This is what is wrong with this idea. Players don't want to use a 3 million dollar jet to fight fire with fire. So the proposed idea is to sell them a less maneuverable jet, with less fire power, that costs 5 times more than something in the game, that by the sounds of it is more effective and costs 5 times less.

 

Really not sure how this thread is still going. I'm really sorry if I'm bothering anyone with this comment but this thread is so off to me. Makes no sense.

Ha, ha, Nope. Have way more money than I can spend. Other than the Ruiner (which is a product of inflation), still the most expensive vehicle in the game (not counting the gold things). There is no way a plane that can only be used to transport things should go for $3 million, even in this messed up GTA economy. I am also fundamentally against altering items after the consumer has bought them, as evidenced by my arguments on the Kuruma last week.

 

This comment needs to go back to the drawing board (and nice try trying to get me to brag about crypto-currency. No dice).

I don´t think that we need that ..especially for 15 milli ...

yes we need a certain balance and a "hydra killer" , but I think that it isn´t that important tbh .... the Hydra killer is passive mode

plus the price , like I said .... even if I like more fighter jets in the game , there is no way that I´d pay way over 10 milli for that ...

But follow my logic here. I want a pistol duel. Guy in bullet proof helmet driving a Kuruma shows up for my duel. Then guy with homing launcher shows up to fight him. Then 3 guys show up in a valkarie while another guy in a turreted Insurgent shows up. There goes my pistol duel. So in a game of escalating weapons, why is the line being drawn here exactly?

I'd prefer a Hydra cannon nerf but it makes sense to have an anti-Hydra plane that can't be used effectively for ground griefing.

Do you have an office and warehouses, an MC clubhouse and related missions? Do you shift cargo, crates, drugs, etc... ?

 

Try delivering 4 bars of coke in a Post-op van, with me and my mates in Hydras!

 

People are moaning because Rockstar has chosen freemode as the most effective way of making money, and jets make that process unfairly difficult I'm afraid. At the end of the day we all want the same thing: enough money to buy all the things we want.

EDIT: as of right now, 2-1 are NOT in favor of a counterbalance for the Hydra . I was generous when I said two dozen.

Some big heavy slow armoured truck with a 40mm gun on the back. One person drives, another shoots. Every round has the oomph to knock a bird out of the air, but it reloads and aims glacier slow. That way it can't be used for griefing on the ground and cash card kiddies can't spam shells everywhere and still get kills. Armoured just enough to survive a Hydra strafe run or two.

 

Price it at around $1m and Bob's your uncle.

 

It would be orgasmic to watch the Player Character drop the spent shell out after every shot and slot another arm-sized round in. And if they made it loud enough to where you could hear it half way across the city? Hnng.

I'd park the bastard in the hills by the observatory and just go Hydra and Laser hunting all day.

Remember I said there are work arounds in this game. IF I want the challenge of doing exactly what you say in freemode, i get friends to help. If I am just making money/no one else is on, I lag out.

 

There are so many options in this game to play it EXACTLY how you want, that honestly, I can't understand why anyone would bother crying to Rock Star and writing a petition. ANY scenario you come up with and I can eliminate jets as a threat. The real problem is that people think they SHOULDN'T have to do these things, because, Rock Star should cater to their special little snow flake asses.
