GTA 5 Constantly Re-Downloading Update During Installation

Hi Everyone,

 

New to the forum here, but any help would be gladly appreciated.

 

I have recently purchased GTA 5 off cdkeys for PC. Please note the game itself was downloaded via Rockstars in-house launcher, not Steam.

 

During installation, the first 67Gb download ran successfully, then came the next 54Gb update, 2 hours later...it asked for another update. This went on for a while and has still not finished. Just an endless cycle of redownloading the update.

 

I have deleted the update.rpf.part files, and a new installation saw that it was downloading slightly more (70ish Gb for the initial download) and then 40ish Gb for the updates, then the cycle continued again.

 

Is this expected of GTA to do this on PC? I know the installation time is very long. But this doesnt seem right...

 

I can provide log details when I am at my pc.

(Social club and gta 5 update)
Then run GTA5 again
