**Properly renamed from LS Elections to SA Elections**

Welcome to the final stage of the Los Santos Elections 2017! I'm your host as always, Xanadu Winsfold, and I'm currently rash-free! Traditions dictate that a special musical guest sings for the inauguration of the new governor but seeing how many problems will greet our governor on his first day we've decided to hold the inauguration act today! All the way from Ganton, now renamed Davis, representing Grove Street please give a warm welcome to Radio Los Santos' Top Pick of the Year, OG Loc!

Ay, ay, ay, baby, I put a gun to yo' face,
like Godzilla I'm gonna tear down the place!
All nighter, gangbanger, fire department say my words are fire!

Can you please take a seat, Mr.Loc?

Ay, bitch, you can call me OG! That stands fo' Original Gangsta, word!

Euh...right. Word. Before starting your song do you mind if I ask you a few questions?

Go ahead, hoe, shoot - actually don't, I ain't wearing my bullet proof vest! Ha ha! I'm playing, I'm OG! If I die by drive-by I'm guaranteed a place in the Thug Mansion, bay-bee!

What are your thoughts on the last two candidates?

Psh! Man, they straight up bustas! They whack but not like the good kind o' whack. Now I'm whack. My tracks are whack, y'know I'm sayin'?

Apart from your street slang, you actually sound quite smart. Would you agree, Jeffrey Cross? Or-

Ay, hoe! Don't you be dissin' me by using my non-gangbanger name! Now is that all cause I gotta roof to light on fire!

Last question. Where's your shirt?

Pssssh! You're a straight up busta too. Now hand me the mic - I got the President to usher in the world with my dope rhymes!

*hands mic*

Ay, ay! Let me hear you say "OH GEE! OH GEE!"
I'm OG Loc, I'm OG Loc, I'm OG Loc!
Los Santos is my city, governor is no joke!
Gonna govern Los Santos all day!
All straight up bustas live in The Bay!
Now lemme see you wave your hands in the air!
And wave them around like you just don't care!
OG! OG! OG!

Ay, ay, gimme back my mic! I ain't done, yo!

That was...horrible. Now let's review the rules for the final round! There is a LOT of demand for this one. Let's see how this is going to go - hopefully better than what just happened...

g1euZz4.png

This round resumes the routine of asking a question a day but with a twist; two questions will be asked each day (one asked by a judge while the other is asked by someone they chose from the public) and both candidates must answer those questions. Both candidates have a full 24 hours to answer both questions. Two new questions will be added as the days go on until we reach the final sixth (6) day. The questions are kept as short as possible and we strongly suggest candidates keep their answers short and direct as it will aid when it comes to picking a new governor. A politician can talk for hours but when it comes to keeping it short can he manage to make a bigger punch with less of a swing?

This round has no need for pictures, only answers to those questions. Candidates are allowed to add pictures in if they love their face so much but we highly recommend you focus on giving short and strong answers for all six days. Finally, this is all for a unique forum medal in the form of Governor of San Andreas:

sOOczhL.png

More importantly, we've been so impressed with the dedication of everyone in this competition that we're putting up a $20 donation to the charity of choice of the winner. The charity will need to be easy to donate to as well as conform to the overall theme of the competition (seeing it's political it can range from women's rights to immigration so there's a wide array here!). No matter who the winner is someone out there will benefit from this.

A public poll will open around the 7th day and will have no judges - all based on the public. Hopefully you'll vote based on the answers each candidate gives, not on who they are as characters...

Criteria (in order of importance):

  • Delivery of a Satisfying Answer (50%)
  • Wittiness and Creativity (25%)
  • Usage of Vocabulary (25%)
  • Full Context – the totality of the contestant’s submission (100%)

Question 1 is being asked by the judge while Question 2 is being asked by their pick. Each day will be added as time goes on as to aid the candidates quickly find the current question. Reminding both candidates once again to keep the answers short!

Day 1 - Cameron Star & Her Pick (by Cameron Star & Eliz)

Question 1:

A few years ago, the state of San Andreas found itself divided by the sudden appearance of a great sea, separating the northern and southern parts. After this terrible cataclysm, we have found ourselves physically disconnected from the rest of the U S of A, and with no roads or bridges, travel to neighboring cities San Fierro and Las Venturas has become much more difficult.

If elected as governor, what would you do to help reunite San Andreas, and make it whole again? - Cameron Star, Judge & Experienced Political Figure
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question 2:
If I could describe LS in one word I'd describe it as magnificent. Though, in recent years that term doesn't live up to its name. Industries situated in LS seems to be degrading the flora of LS by dumping their highly volatile toxic substances into water bodies with or without government's express consent. To preserve the natural habitat of our environment for the enhancement of our society, how are you going to tackle this issue? - Naomi Appia, Geologist

Status:
*COMPLETE*

Answers:

Jason William Grey (Democrat):

Answer 1:
Well, as a Democrat I got to be open minded to many ideas, so electing me as Governor I will explore on what we could do to reconnect San Andreas as a whole again, we could filter the water to make it drinkable, we could improve the airports to reduce travel costs, I like that you mention bridges, but for the moment we need to take a look on our resources, but in the mean time I'd find a temporary way of making each county connected so that in time we could build those bridges, because The State of San Andreas is stronger as a whole.

Answer 2:
I agree I do think LS is magnificent, it pains me dearly that these Industries would violate this great County by dumping toxic substances into our water without a care for the Law or the safety of the people who may be affected, seriously this cannot be taken lightly and as Governor I will make the consequences of such careless actions harder so that they think twice about what they're going to do.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steve H. Hunter (Republican):

Answer 1:

I'm glad you asked this, Ms. Star. Well, I think it's simple - when we have no bridges, we build bridges.

We're going to build bridges both over and under the sea; both for cars and trains. San Fierro and Las Venturas will pay for them - there's plenty of money up in Las Venturas, and I guarantee I'll get them to spill a little to fund the development of these bridges. This will bring much-needed jobs too, and we're going to make some really grand structures that will attract people from all over the world. It's going to be great.

Once we've reclaimed control of our skies from the jet terrorists, I think we're also going to see a big boom in the commercial airline industry. I'm going to make sure there are plenty of flights coming and going from Los Santos and Blaine county. They're going to be safe, inclusive, reliable - it's really going to connect us again.

I'm also going to see what I can do to get the docks of Los Santos up and running again. I aim to make sure we'll have ferries and all sorts of watercraft providing safe travel between the counties.

By land, sea, or air - San Andreas will be made whole again.

Answer 2:

Good question, Ms. Appia.

While I'm a skeptic when it comes to topics such as global warming, I do believe that we're blessed with a beautiful part of the world here in San Andreas, and it is of course important that we keep our water as free of toxic materials as possible - not just for the safety of our environment, but for the safety of our citizens.

However, I wouldn't be opposed to taking all these materials, dumping them in a pile on land somewhere, and setting them on fire. Or something a little more professional perhaps. But you get the idea - some kind of land-based solution. Yeah; I think it sounds better like that.

See, it's a give and take thing. We put more pressure on companies in some ways (we stop them poisoning the water); but we can also loosen up the leash on them in other ways (we can stop allowing theories on what may or may not happen to temperatures around the world to dictate everything we do).

Hell - if it does get a little warmer, I'm sure the guys over in North Yankton wouldn't complain anyway.

Day 2 - Mason Turner & His Pick (by Achlys & EarthGaia)

Question 1:

Whenever I go out walking in the streets of LS, I see people walk by me with their smarthphone in their hands. Whether it's to update their status on Lifeinvader or post on a gaming forum their eyes are glued on the screens. And the worst part is that it has a very negative influence on kids and teens. Instead of going out to play football or baseball, they prefer to stay indoors, and corrupt their innocent minds by masturbating to pornography.

So my question is this: If elected governor, what would you do to encourage the citizens of San Andreas to spend less time on the internet, and spend more time being active, or better yet, enjoy the company of those they love? -
Mason Turner, Cockatoos Club Owner
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question 2:
Many of the activities that are carried out in the counties outside Los Santos is the exploitation of trees. To prevent these valuable hectares of forests from disappearing, do you have a sustainable development plan in mind? - Nataly Gurkov, Ecologist

Status:
*COMPLETE*

Answers:

Jason William Grey (Democrat):

Answer 1:
Hello Mason, I talk about this a lot to my students, I'm not going to take away smartphones because they have the potential to get information fast, but my issue is when its misused and as you said "Their eyes are glued on the screens" I know I saw a guy walk into a lamppost. if elected Governor I will encourage people to open up bowling alleys, people love bowling, its where I took Lilly on our first date. if we have more activity's in San Andreas, then people will use smart phones less and reconnect to family and friends.

Answer 2:
Its important that we have a forest, not just for the sights but also for the animals that live there, if we cut down trees, we aren't just cutting down trees but homes to many animals, I don't mind cutting down trees on a small scale but if elected as Governor it will be mandatory to plant a tree for one that is cut down, the trees won't get in the way but the animals will still have somewhere to live.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steve H. Hunter (Republican):

Answer 1:

Good question Mr. Turner.

Sometimes technological advancements come along that really shape up how we live our lives. This is one of them, and I think we have to accept that the way this generation lives isn't going to be the same as that of the previous generation. People have a natural instinct to meet other people too, and so it's only natural that the ability to meet people all over the world - while sitting on your ass - has a lot of appeal.
Realistically, there's not that much that can directly be done - not without interfering with people's free will anyway, which I'm all about.
But, people want to build and get creative - with a lack of opportunities, is it any wonder that people turn to social media, forums, and other such stuff to channel that energy into? What I will do, is open up opportunities - places for people to channel that energy into something productive. I'm sure you've already heard of everything I'm planning to build and expand.
There'll be more more bridges built, more manufacturing in our state; less inane arguments on the internet, and so on.

Answer 2:

I'm glad you asked, Ms. Gurkov.

I have to be honest - there is a need for paper, wood, and so on - and as such, trees are always going to be cut down. I don't see a way around that. I could protect our trees, and just cut down all the trees somewhere else - and that would make me look good, protecting ours - but trees are going down somewhere either way.

That said, it's not all doom and gloom. Our forests are important, and I'm not going to carelessly mow the whole lot down. There will be some amount of restriction on what corporations can do they're going to cut trees when it's necessary; they're not just going to be allowed to grab a rain-forest and make off with it.

There's also a solution that's very simple and natural. When we cut trees down, we plant some more. Cultivating the land, creating life - this is all stuff we've been doing for God knows how long. I will make sure that corporations plant four new trees for every one they cut down.

It'll take a while to show, but it will work out in the long-term. In the short-term, it'll provide extra jobs. Everyone wins.

Day 3 - Lenny Scarpa & His Pick (by Arthur Fookin Shelby & Pavle)

Question 1:
Crime is on the rise, it hasn’t been this high in 24 years. We have drugs being produced in the Alamo being smuggled in to the city, poisoning the people. Retroactive warfare erupting between gangs hailing from their communities in South Los Santos and East Los Santos. It reached the point where Los Santos has become a boiling point of corruption, fraud, homicide, grand theft auto, arson, kidnapping and sin. How do you aim to reduce this? - Lenny Scarpa, Club Owner & Businessman
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question 2:

I've live in LS my whole life, and there's been a recurring problem, which doesn't seem to have an end game. Gas prices. Every week it goes up by a few cents. Went up by 5% this last year! So, my question, with oil becoming a reduced resource, how are you going to ensure our transport is still running on the tracks? - Shane Twain, Moving Company Owner.

Jason William Grey (Democrat):

Answer 1:
It hasn't been this bad since the Los Santos riots back in the early 90s, its what inspired me to become a firefighter, to put out fires, to save lives and to also rescue cats from trees, This is something we can't hide under the rug, we got to face it, We need to be harsher on drug smuggling operations, let them know that there will be consequences, Also I noticed Ammunation employees are not asking for ID's or criminal records, that should be a criminal offense because it allows bad people to get guns to do bad things, also the sale of military grade weapons and explosives are being sold making it easier for terrorists to get explosives, I say we put in place strict regulations and ban sale of weapons deemed too dangerous for the public to own. Also I'm going to improve the Police Services so they have the right equipment and training to fight the war on crime. Together we can make San Andreas the dream it can be, as we all know dreams can come true!

Answer 2:
I totally understand your point of view, you got to go to work to earn money, which pays for the gas for the car to get you there and with gas prices going up its getting harder to pay your other bills and expenses, somethings going to have to be sacrificed?. I'm going to be honest, The thing about gas is its becoming harder to find, we're sucking the land dry just to get a tiny speck of gas, the solution is to create a new engine just as efficient as those gas guzzlers but has an alternative supply source, so to all the car manufacturers, engineers and scientists, get creating the car of the future, we all one day may depend on it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steve H. Hunter (Republican):

Answer 1:

Rest assured, Mr. Scarpa, that this is something I have my eye on. I think it has to be looked at from outside the box though - we're not going to have a police state if you elect me, and you'd better believe I'm not taking anyone's guns. Even if said guns are mounted onto a Savage attack helicopter.

What I will do, however, is reorganize law enforcement in our state - I will change their priorities. We have people being mercilessly hunted down for petty crimes, while only a similar (or sometimes lesser) response is given to far more serious crimes. I'm going to change that. We're not going to waste too many resources on minor crimes - consequently, we're going to be able to really hit the more serious criminals hard.

We also have to remember that when people can't find jobs ... Well, it's a vicious circle. I'm going to keep people employed; they're going to be manufacturing stuff; they're going to be building structures; it's going to be great.

People aren't going to want to risk their lives on crime if they can get a decent paying job with a little hard work.

Answer 2:

Good question Mr. Twain.

Personally, I find the idea that we're just going to run out oil any moment ... I find it a little too convenient for the big oil companies. What I'm saying is - to be blunt - they can jack up prices if everyone's convinced there's a crisis.

That's not to say there's no truth to it. Behind the most sophisticated deceptions, there's always some amount of truth - that's what makes them effective.

To cut a long story short, yes; chances are we're going to run out of oil some day. But I don't think that day is as near as some would like people to believe, and - most importantly - we'll probably have all sorts of highly advanced technologies, other resources, etc. by then.

I will put pressure on the big oil companies to lower prices. We're not going to be bled dry and forced into little toy electric cars, just because of fear-mongering. If we run out, we run out - it's not like it wouldn't happen some day anyway. We'll deal with that when it's nearer to becoming a reality.

For now, more cheap oil, more guns, more attack vehicles - it's going to be great.

========================================================
Day 4 - Daniel J. Crown & His Pick (by DangerZ0neX & The-Irish-Hunter)

Question 1:
Ever since San Andreas has been founded, its talented Construction Workers were its pride and joy during its economic boom, for they have assisted in building our beautiful skyscrapers and well-maintained roads all around our beloved state for our citizens and service-men.

However, over recent years, they have gotten slower in finishing their contracted builds before they were due, causing multiple projects to be postponed quite frequently. Reasons can range from how demanding the unions are, immoderate amount of breaks, and even how excessive usage of machinery makes workers feel less motivated to work.

As a Governor, what is your solution to dealing with this dilemma? -
Daniel J. Crown, Gold Crown LLC Founder & Owner
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question 2:

It is no secret that there is a huge difference between the amount of men and women hired for certain jobs in this city.

The LSPD for example. I work at the Mission Row station, and I have made some observations. Rarely will you ever see a female cop in Los Santos. And when you do, we are doing meaningless jobs, such as standing outside police stations, or filling paper work. I have only been sent out on patrol duty TWICE, and I have worked here for 2 years. I feel like this is discrimination. Women are just as good as men at police work, if not more.

Are you planning on doing anything to fix this issue? If so, what?
- Officer Molly Hunterson, LSPD

Status:

Answers:

Jason William Grey (Democrat):

Answer 1:
I have notice buildings haven't been finished and its obviously way past the deadline, its not the workers at fault but the rise in crime and jet terrorism, workers are scared that some lunatic in a jet or attack chopper will blow them up, also construction sights have become a place of meet ups for criminal organizations scaring away workers and causing great delay. As Governor I will reduce the crime rate and make it harder to get armed with functional weaponry military vehicles, we reduce the crime rate, the workers will feel its safe enough to work at these sites and hopefully finish their jobs without fear.

Answer 2:
I totally agree with you, men have been seen as strong and can handle themselves, but what about criminal organizations and cartels, some of them are run by women who could break these men in half with their bare hands, whats the point in training female police officers if they just stay inside and do paperwork, this is discrimination and we can't ignore it, I will make it mandatory to give female Police the same opportunities as men do in the San Andreas Police Departments, as we have seen many times, they're women who can take care of themselves and still get the job done.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steve H. Hunter (Republican):

Answer 1:

Good thinking, Mr. Crown.

The way I see it, we're not lacking in workers; we're lacking in jobs. If people are slacking in these jobs ... Well, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would do them, and do them well.

We're not in the 1920s anymore - it's not like these Unions are facing particularly dire conditions. So, I will cut away some regulations, and if workers are routinely doing a sub-par job, that job will be handed to someone who appreciates it more.

I'm not all dismissive to our workers though. They have created much of our state, and will play a big role in creating structures in the future.

For one, I'll encourage companies to hire more people. That's a simple aid that everyone can get behind, I think - more people get jobs, projects get finished on time, all just for paying a few more wages. I will also see if I can't persuade companies to raise wages a little - incentives to work are good.

I will see to the problems workers have, but these jobs - if people don't appreciate them ... A "use it or lose it" strategy will be employed.

Answer 2:

Excellent question, Ms. Hunterson (and a beautiful name, if you don't mind me saying so).

Now, I know Republicans tend to get looked down upon when it comes to issues like this, but I'm a fairly unusual Republican, and this is something I see to be an issue as well.

Paying one person less for the same job is wrong, whichever way it's cut. Whether or not a person believes women are as effective as men at law enforcement, fact is that they're doing the same job, and so deserve the same pay. And believe me, you'll get the same pay if I'm in charge.

Personally, I think ... While the average man is stronger than the average woman, granted, is that really a big issue considering the tactics police use? When you have 10 people jumping on a criminal, pepper spraying them or tasering them (or worse), it's not like they all need to be particularly strong anyway.

More to the point, I will make sure everyone is paid equally, and if I hear a lot of complaints about people being treated unfairly based on their gender, I will crack down on these places. I'd like to be a governor for everyone.

========================================================
Day 5 - Amy Vinewood & Her Pick (by AmyVinewood & -LN-)

Question 1:
More and more we see these military vehicles that clearly don't belong on our peaceful streets and in our beautiful skies of San Andreas, if you were elected governor what would you do about this growing issue that frightens newcomers to our city? - Amy Vinewood, prominent LS Tourism Guide
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question 2:

Since moving here a few years ago, I have, of course, noticed the vacant Casino and the sign above it that says 'Coming Soon'. I understand there are supposedly legal issues and controversy surrounding its future; however, if you're elected governor, how do you feel about the archaic gaming laws of San Andreas and what are your plans regarding the future of the Casino and legalised gambling as a whole? - Ellen Bjorkman, Activist for legal gambling

Status:
*COMPLETE*

Answers:

Jason William Grey (Democrat):

Answer 1:
Well you have asked the right candidate, your not just talking about tanks and APCs crushing cars and tearing up gardens, alot of these vehicle's weapons haven't been properly deactivated which has lead to being used by criminals to cause havoc, I'm not gonna ban the sale of military vehicles, just make sure the weapons are removed or properly de-activated. I know this will cause an outrage, but something so cool has ended up in the wrong hands and the crime rate has risen to an all time high and if elected Governor I will work to bring down the crime rate and make San Andreas welcoming for tourists.

Answer 2:
Well as you can see I'm a bit of a risk taker myself, this election has certainly been unpredictable like a game of roulette, I wouldn't mind going easier on Gambling laws, casinos will make Los Santos look more exiting for tourists, just look at Las Venturas, its one of the most popular county's in San Andreas close to Los Santos. I'd also like to mention that people need to understand what they are getting themselves into and not take extremely big risks, because this could also create problems with loan sharks so my advice to all of you is play sensibly if Casinos are to return.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steve H. Hunter (Republican):

Answer 1:

This is a subject I'm quite passionate on, Ms. Vinewood, so I'm glad you brought it up.

I'm big on our citizens rights to bear arms, armed vehicles, and armed WMDs. Everyone has a right to defend themselves, and besides, the people having access to Savage attack helicopters is one of the pillars of our democracy - the people should not fear the government; if anything, it should be the other way around.

That said, there is clearly a problem right now. They are tools, and tools can be used either for bad, or good. Right now, there's a lot of them being used for bad.

Aside from the policies I've outlined regarding boosting our military, and having a dedicated air force to take on jet terrorists - well, I guess I could bend from my more hard-line policies just a little, and put some regulations on when and where companies are allowed to deliver these vehicles. They're going to need to slow things down a little, and preferably (for armed aircraft) restrict delivery locations to airfields, as opposed to ... Well, just about everywhere.

That's as much as I can budge though - unless I'm really pushed. We love our guns, and our attack helicopters, and we can't relinquish them.

Answer 2:

Why not? This is a good idea, Ms. Bjorkman.

I understand there are religious reasons to oppose it, but frankly, religion should really live alongside the rest of society; rather than dominate it. And I say that as someone who's not especially a gambling man - I just think, live and let live, you know? Let the vibes be peaceful.

This would have the potential to create jobs, as well as provide an attraction for people outside of our great state to come and visit.

I will say this though, that it needs to be handled responsibly. I don't want to see anyone disappearing over debt, or anything like that. That wouldn't reflect well on my supporting it being reopened.

I will open it up if there's a market for it, and it will provide jobs to our people.

Day 6 - Andrew fon Dragan & His Pick (by EVOLUT7ON & Mach1bud)

Question 1:
As you all know, some huge companies have lots of influential friends not only in San Andreas. And as you know there is a shadow policy. Some CEO's prefer to make deals, to negotiate with their new government. They don't make crimes, no; they work with an evasion of laws and promote their projects concerning civil and municipal issues. America, as a whole, was built on a business. With that said it's clear that companies are the ones that bring the future towards today. As governor, how much interest are you willing to put business' before the people? - Andrew fon Dragan, Savvy Businessman
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question 2:

As a long standing businessman in this city, I find the ever increasing presence of police interfering with my business to be particularly troubling. Due to their incompetence and inability to respect the law themselves, my associates and I believe it is the states best interest to reduce or eliminate the police interest in our business dealings. What will you do to accommodate our needs? - Albert Blackwood, Legitimate Businessman and Professional Male Model

Status:
*COMPLETE*

Answers:

Jason William Grey (Democrat):

Answer 1:
Of course, business has always been a big part of human nature, selling items for gold coins, Business brings in tourists, we need places like coffee shops, clothes stores big car manufacturers, I do believe business and companies will always be apart of our future, I don't think its fair that big companies can avoid the law so easy and small companies will pay the price if they did the same thing, I do believe we should all pay our fair share of taxes which go to our public schools, hospitals, public servants and I hope in future that I can cut down how much people pay towards taxes in a better roaring economy.

Answer 2:
Well that is a hard question, I can't just have police completely removed from checking out business that may have illegal dealings and on the other hand it isn't right for officers of the law to abuse the responsibility given to them just to earn a promotion and a bigger salary, I talk a lot about fighting crime and sometimes it happens to be in the uniform that fights it. So I'm not gonna remove police from checking out business but to make sure the ones that are in charge of checking out for possibly corrupt organizations are not corrupt themselves.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steve H. Hunter (Republican):

Answer 1:

Mr. Dragan, I'm not planning to put businesses before the people at all. I'm hoping to do a lot for both the people and the businesses, but I'm not going to allow the people to get shafted (to put it bluntly).

I would like to cut taxes for both quite dramatically. Some would say, "Well, you're just looking to cut the taxes of businesses" but that's really cutting your nose off to spite your face - if the people too have these same tax cuts, then everyone wins. We also have to remember that when businesses do well, the people tend to do well as well - there are more jobs, and so on. With that in mind, I'm not going to try to get in their way too much.

One area I'm not going to hesitate to assert some authority on, is outsourcing jobs. I'm definitely going to make things harder on those who would deny the people of our great state jobs. The businesses will mostly have things fairly easy, but in this area ... Jobs are going to be coming back to this state, put it that way.

I hope that answers your question, Mr. Dragan. No one will be above the law (for the most part anyway), but I aim to make sure everyone does well.

Answer 2:

I'm glad you asked, Mr. Blackwood - this is an area I have a lot of interest in making a difference in.

Right now, it's terrible. It's a disaster. Most of the men and women of law enforcement are worthy of a lot of respect, but honestly, their priorities are skewed and all over the place right now - mostly thanks to disconnected politicians ruling over them, delegating overly-harsh reactions to even the most minor of crimes.

That's going to come to an end very, very quickly if I'm elected.

First of all, the police aren't going to be expected to go after outlandishly dangerous threats anymore. With extra funding for our military, we're going to use them for that kind of thing. With a dedicated air force and tank battalions, your average cop is no longer going to be expected to be able to deal with jet terrorists.

Secondly - and very importantly - I'm going to make sure the priorities of law enforcement are completely turned on their head. They're not going to throw the book hard at minor criminals, and - consequently - they will have more resources available for criminals who pose a much larger problem.

I will not let you down on this front. I think you're all going to like the reforms I have planned if you elect me. It's about time there are some changes - for everyone's sake.

This election has shaped up quite smoothly, not as smooth as the Cougar's figure, but it has helped boom my company's publicity!

Now, if you will excuse me, I will be busy doing some golfing with the soon-to-be former Governor Cranley and discuss with him on how to plan out his future presidential campaign three years from now!

Answer

Well, as a Democrat I got to be open minded to many ideas, so electing me as Governor I will explore on what we could do to reconnect San Andreas as a whole again, we could filter the water to make it drinkable, we could improve the airports to reduce travel costs, I like that you mention bridges, but for the moment we need to take a look on our resources, but in the mean time I'd find a temporary way of making each county connected so that in time we could build those bridges, because The State of San Andreas is stronger as a whole.

Question 2:

If I could describe LS in one word I'd describe it as magnificent. Though, in recent years that term doesn't live up to its name. Industries situated in LS seems to be degrading the flora of LS by dumping their highly volatile toxic substances into water bodies with or without government's express consent. To preserve the natural habitat of our environment for the enhancement of our society, how are you going to tackle this issue?" - Naomi Appia, Geologist

Answer:

I agree I do think LS is magnificent, it pains me dearly that these Industries would violate this great County by dumping toxic substances into our water without a care for the Law or the safety of the people who may be affected, seriously this cannot be taken lightly and as Governor I will make the consequences of such careless actions harder so that they think twice about what they're going to do.

If elected as governor, what would you do to help reunite San Andreas, and make it whole again? - Cameron Star, Judge & Experienced Political Figure

Question 2:

If I could describe LS in one word I'd describe it as magnificent. Though, in recent years that term doesn't live up to its name. Industries situated in LS seems to be degrading the flora of LS by dumping their highly volatile toxic substances into water bodies with or without government's express consent.

On a side note, I just want to give a shout out to my contemporaries who didn't make it. I'd also like Ms. Methson to know I'll see if I can pull a few strings, maybe free up a position in our government somehow.

Jason and Hunter, quick reminder to keep those answers short! Jason has a good length going. Mmh....wait, no. That's not what I meant.

Alright, question is up! Keep it short and make sure it packs a punch!

Answer:

Hello Mason, I talk about this a lot to my students, i'm not going to take away smartphones because they have the potential to get information fast, but my issue is when its misused and as you said "Their eyes are glued on the screens" I know I saw a guy walk into a lamppost. if elected Governor I will encourage people to open up bowling alleys, people love bowling, its where I took Lilly on our first date. if we have more activity's in San Andreas, then people will use smart phones less and reconnect to family and friends.

Question 2:

Many of the activities that are carried out in the counties outside Los Santos is the exploitation of trees. To prevent these valuable hectares of forests from disappearing, do you have a sustainable development plan in mind? - Nataly Gurkov, Ecologist

Answer:

Its important that we have a forest, not just for the sights but also for the animals that live there, if we cut down trees, we aren't just cutting down trees but homes to many animals, I don't mind cutting down trees on a small scale but if elected as Governor it will be mandatory to plant a tree for one that is cut down, the trees won't get in the way but the animals will still have somewhere to live.

livejoker:

I'm doing fine, thanks for asking. Hitman? I wouldn't be surprised, I do raise a lot of controversy, its still early yet and the idea that I could win the election has made a few conservatives panic. I guess its the price i'm willing to pay by stepping up in the good intent to make San Andreas the best state of The US of A.

To add to Danger's reply to lol232:

Sorry mate but if we let everyone ask questions we'll delve into unfiltered and unpredictable questions that may not fit in the world of GTA. Your question was fine but we've got 12 people already asking their own question. It's all arranged so that each candidate gives 2 answers a day totaling 24 answers or so. That's a lot of answers already. The public can have a final say in the form of a poll, though. ;)

@Jason&Hunter: Jason typically answers early while Hunter answers near the day deadline. I'll only add the answers you guys give when posting the new day questions. That means that you two can go back and edit your answers BEFORE I add the new day questions.

If your company does turn out to be a good investment, which I'm sure it will, you'll probably be given a seat in a presidental cabinet 3 years from now if Jock's future presidental campaign succeeds. Heck, if you agree to this now, you could be given a sweet position in my law firm at this very moment so you can also milk this city's richest tools for all they're worth like I do, and with full legality!

I'm all into second chances anyway.

Question 1:

Whenever I go out walking in the streets of LS, I see people walk by me with their smarthphone in their hands. Whether it's to update their status on Lifeinvader or post on a gaming forum their eyes are glued on the screens. And the worst part is that it has a very negative influence on kids and teens.

Question 2:

Many of the activities that are carried out in the counties outside Los Santos is the exploitation of trees. To prevent these valuable hectares of forests from disappearing, do you have a sustainable development plan in mind? - Nataly Gurkov, Ecologist

Apologies for asking the questions late. I've been up all night working really hard. There's been a huge snow storm here at my vacation cabin up in Canada (San Andreas doesn't get much snow, after all) and I've been shoveling for hours! I haven't been this sore since I met these nice African-American boys out in Davis! New set of questions will be in up a few minutes - I can give a few extra hours over the usual deadline if required. Sorry again!

As the Cougar said, I've been working since about 11PM yesterday. Huge snow storm. I'm honestly sore and NO I DID NOT MEET AFRICAN-AMERICAN BOYS IN DAVIS. SHE'S LYING! So yeah, sorry for the delay.

Alright, new day questions are up! Jason, don't be afraid to add a bit more meat to your answers. Hunter, don't be afraid to give your answers a diet!

Answer:

It hasn't been this bad since the Los Santos riots back in the early 90s, its what inspired me to become a firefighter, to put out fires, to save lives and to also rescue cats from trees, This is something we can't hide under the rug, we got to face it, We need to be harsher on drug smuggling operations, let them know that there will be consequences, Also I noticed Ammunation employees are not asking for ID's or criminal records, that should be a criminal offence because it allows bad people to get guns to do bad things, also the sale of military grade weapons and explosives are being sold making it easier for terrorists to get explosives, I say we put in place strict regulations and ban sale of weapons deemed too dangerous for the public to own. Also I'm going to improve the Police Services so they have the right equipment and training to fight the war on crime. Together we can make San Andreas the dream it can be, as we all know dreams can come true!

Answer:

I totally understand your point of view, you got to go to work to earn money, which pays for the gas for the car to get you there and with gas prices going up its getting harder to pay your other bills and expenses, somethings going to have to be sacrificed?. I'm going to be honest, The thing about gas is its becoming harder to find, we're sucking the land dry just to get a tiny speck of gas, the solution is to create a new engine just as efficient as those gas guzzlers but has an alternative supply source, so to all the car manufacturers, engineers and scientists, get creating the car of the future, we all one day may depend on it.
