Pegassi Tempesta - Not what I bargained for?

After growing tired of the Nero custom, I sold it and built onto my wealth. I picked up the T20 and fell in love with it. It's everything for me that the Nero was not. I destroy races with it and have posted much better lap times in races, actually breaking every personal record I had before. Lusting for more options for different types of races, I decided to add onto my Super collection and pick up a Tempesta. I modified it, made it look to my liking, and decided to put it through the gauntlet of races that I've put my T20 and FMJ through. People said that it was a track king and a hell of a ride, so I figured why not see what the people were gawking about? And to my surprise, I didn't find much of anything. My FMJ and T20 beat out the Tempesta in track times and overall feel for me. I don't know if I'm not used to the traction or haven't broken in the brakes for it (on both T20 and FMJ it was almost instinctive), but I was left underwhelmed and shocked by the Tempesta performance. Do I need to play around with the Tempesta and practice with it more before I get good with it, or should I get some of my money back and keep my other two beasts? I feel quite confident every time I bring the T20 or FMJ to a race, knowing I'll finish in the top 3 with ease, if not win. But with the Tempesta, the best I could do was second place. Other than that it was forth and fifth all around. It feels slower around the corners to me as far as get up and go time, and it has less traction to me than my beloved FMJ with less speed than my darling T20. Have I made a poor investment or do I just need to give it a little more time than my other babies?

The Tempesta has great cornering ability, but it has lackluster top speed. Both T20 and FMJ has higher top speed than the Tempesta. If you have problem handling supers around the corner, then Tempesta is your choice, but as seen that you can handle the more slippery rides, I think you could keep it for aesthetic purpose (It's one of the finest looking super car after all).

It corners great. Maybe "too great" since it just doesn't have the top end to exploit that to it's fullest potential. The Ital GTB seems much quicker. That's about it for my opinion on it.

Hmmm, I think the reason I was so impressed with the Tempesta is because I had such low expectations to begin with. I wasn't even going to buy one, I hated everything about the Reaper when that was released - And this just looked like a clone of the Reaper!! Muttering about pointless additions, I eventually decided to at least try it out.

Now, here's the thing, while the Tempesta handled well - certainly better than the aforementioned Reaper, to my recollection - was reasonably quick and competitive, it had poor spoiler options, a redundant and frankly bizarre aerial option for the roof and the look of a car I dislike (which I will now stop the endless comparisons to....), I should hate the Tempesta. But, I didn't. I was quite enjoying it. I went racing, won a few, kept up with catchup off. No complaints. Also, it somehow felt more like a Lamborghini than the previous Pegassi offerings. It's an essence, you can't really explain it with words - Either you like the way a car feels when you drive it or you don't.

I quite like the Tempesta, but even the most die hard fan would have to admit it's not outstanding in looks or performance, just a good all-rounder that doesn't excel in any particular area. Sometimes, that's enough.

I watched his video and saw the Tempesta came in second for speed which was outstanding. But I think that's just him being a better driver. My FMJ time was a whole second faster and my T20 was less than a second apart from the FMJ. Tempesta just doesn't feel as competitive with me as the T20 and FMJ.

It has to do with driving style, personal taste, and what type of track you're on. More straights or more turns.

I personally love the Tempesta and T-20, but haven't really enjoyed the FMJ.

It's not that it's fast around corners. It's just predictable and easy to drive to the limits. Like Jester RC, Blackfin.
