I think this is a good idea in theory, but how it would play out... I'm not so sure. A mission creator would be much more welcomed for a few reasons:

-Missions can be done solo.

-"$100,000,000 + RP MAZE BANK HEIST!!!!" Yeah, no thanks.

-We can't create the cutscenes for the heist with dialogue.

-Exploits... So many exploits.

The reason this will not happen is because the most rabid of their patrons are the ones who want to run around in tanks and helicopters blowing each other up and that is why all new content is Adversary crap. I see Martin's face come up and it's like, "Go away, dude." His old jobs were always cool - rescue the girl, take out the witness, steal the TVs, and so forth.

 

I almost always choose my jobs from the job list rather than the crap that shows up on my phone because all I am interested in are missions - no races, parachute jumps, deathmatches, blah blah. Give me a good old repo or hit any time.

Exploits, decicing the amount of cash. For cutscenes it could be possible... Maybe

Exploits, decicing the amount of cash. For cutscenes it could be possible... MaybeExploits are never intended. And even though you can't decide the payout people would name it along the lines of that anyway. Just look at deathmatches. I can see your point though. Edited by Cryptic Entries

I'd rather a mission creator because it would give more freedom to what we can create instead of being limited to only heists. Then if someone wants to make a heist all they have to do is make individual set up missions and a finale mission then put them all together in a playlist. ;)

That makes sense, and it could also be less time consuming to create and play.

 

I support this idea. If these gave around the same amount of cash/hour I think we would see people only playing the plain missions with next to zero objective over and over, but eventually they would get bored and move to the ones made with time. Also if they implemented same rating system as with missions (like, dislike, no vote) and the ones with more thumbs up would show first, I doubt many plain missions would survive. And if they did, R* could hand pick the rotten apples.

 

The cut scenes could really be created in R* Editor(correct me if I'm wrong) if we had ability to add subtitles.

A mission / heist creator would go a long way in adding tons of player made content IMO. I think it's time to unleash the contact mission creator with a small payout limit to see if the community would even bother making good mission / heists. The majority who oppose this always come back to the payout, so just let us make missions for fun! Not everyone plays this game to stockpile fake cash.

imo you're right the cutscenes could be made with R* editor, that would be an awesome idea, but scripting them to stream at the right moment might be more difficult unless the cutscenes are downloaded with the mission itself. That would be great though.

I personally LOVE the R* Editor! If R* could let us use that to make cutscenes for custom missions my dreams of a perfect GTAO would come true. Yesterday my crew and I got bored so we thought up a plan to escape the prison in freeroam. Felt like a well made mission even though it was all unscripted (kinda, we bribed the authorities).

After we played I spent an hour or two making a movie out of it, I LOVE that R* Editor! :)

It would be exploited lol Who cares the game is 3 and a half years over and has been exploited since launch. There are plently more exploits to come. I say go ahead with this idea to offer new light into this game. Its not going to last on adversary modes and overpriced cars forever.

 

And heist cutscenes oh you mean the things people skip everytime a heist starts now?

 

Also oh no money being easy to make quickly oh no that would ruin the game. How dare people wanting to play having to not grind for stuff.

 

And another thing do we really want R* to pick heists created by the community? Look at the recent stunt races that got verified, like they picked a number out of a hat. R* sucks at picking good user created content.

 

Heists hard to make? lol Just a bunch of scripts really. Making cutscenes would be the hard part. Oh it took a year and a half for them to make 5 of them. Meanwhile they make the entire game over course of 5 years. Took them a year and a half to make them nice BS story. No they probably waited to release the heists update once next gen consoles came out to probably sell more copies of the game. Just because they came out after such a wait doesnt mean that they were struggling to make them. They have made hundreds of missions and stuff in the past. They than made all the heists in singleplayer. They are completely capable of making them. We don't need to worry about cutscenes if there user generated.

 

Also every gamemode has the creator already made. Its what they used to make everything from races to missions to adversary modes. Just have to enable it. We saw that video of people glitching into the mission creator back on ps3.
