At this point, I don't know if we have to put the DLC Wishlist thread in Big bold letters or if some people are just ignorant.

The cool thing about how forums work, is that if a thread isn't popular, it will quickly sink to the bottom and go away.

 

Trying to force people to put their elaborately detailed DLC concepts into a many-pages long thread where it MIGHT get seen by the handful of people who happen to be on that page before the next page opens up is silly, in my opinion.

 

Many people have been asking for a "Concepts" sub forum, but the mods don't like the idea because they think people will still post in the wrong place.

 

So, for now, just let people post their concept threads in the lounge. If you don't like it, don't reply, and it will drop down and disappear off the front page. It's really that simple.

 

Also, extremely detailed concepts like this, especially with a custom trailer and everything (regardless of quality) deserve a little more than a single post in a Wishlist thread.

A sub forum would be ideal, but a mod would have to be designated to remove "wishlist" style threads. It would have to be strictly for detailed concept threads such as this one, otherwise you'd get threads titled "Casual Shoes are all we've got. Ideas?" with one sentence in the body and no actual ideas shared.

 

Maybe the Concepts Lounge could be a semi-private place where you have to apply to be given thread-creation permission. Anybody can reply to a thread, but you could only START a thread if a mod has approved your "application", which would merely be a sample of one of your concept threads.

I like most of the ideas the OP proposes, particularly since it would effectively open up the map and encourage us to go to locations we normally don't frequent (i.e. out of the city).

 

And as I've advocated in a few posts before, adding car options such as these isn't just visual or cosmetic - they would actually be functional options with utility, things that actually do something useful.

 

 

The cars look and sound like something a 10 year old thinks looks and sounds 'cool'. Just look at most of the cars in the 'Tuners and Outlaws' video. No one in real life would ever put a spoiler on top of another spoiler. No one in real life would ever put white walls on the wheels of a race car.

 

Sadly R* didn't listen to commonsense ideas like this when they added those idiotic "Tarmac Attack" wing spoilers as an option for several vehicles - because, those spoilers are quite literally too other existing spoilers available on the same car just stacked atop one another, which is both daft-looking and lazy, in my view.

It's much easier to moan and complain, so props to you guys for coming up with an idea and presenting it well.

 

The idea itself is excellent, there's a lot of map space that's relatively unused that would be transformed by an update of this nature, and as you point out, the base is already there in the form of vehicles and terrain.

I think we should just let the mods do their jobs, and let them decide what does and doesn't qualify for a thread.

I agree. All petitions should be in there and don't deserve their own thread IMO.

Plus, really let's face it: R* doesn't give two sh*ts about petitions for updates. It's their game and they get to decide what to create for an update. Even if it is a crappy update (Looking at you, Lowriders CC.) If they basically created an update that's from a petition, a whole bunch of people will start clamoring up to R* and demanding that their updates be put in the game. And if they don't, income the butt hurt insults. It'll give the whole mindset that R* can be ordered around when it comes to creating updates.

None of the cars OP described looked like they were designed by kids, there are off road enthusiasts ya know. Maybe it's more of an southern American thing.

 

There is a such thing as crooked cops. There is a million movies made about them and are a common theme for crime.

 

There are cartels in the U.S., they are responsible for a huge amount of drugs coming to the U.S. everyday.

Thanks for the support. And submitted pictures of the vehicles. Loving the little, 6 wheel army vehcile. Personally the armored vehicles are not for me. I'm more of a passive gta player. But as special vehicles for import export I think the buggy would work.

 

Love the rock climber as well. Just not sure how gta physics and handling would make that possible. Will get searching the mods.

Some Rally cars that can be used in the off road class for racing and make the rally type cars we have already (Omnis, Tropis, Sultan and Kuruma for example) usable in off road races, Just a few things added that can take it to the bikes in a race.
