pc online play with a friend. i need help with a few things Started by

so myself and a friend have got gta5 and we have started to play online but we cant figure out how to do anything together so here are my noob questions

 

1. if there is missions how do we find them and do them together so we both get paid

2. can we jointly own property or give money to each other to so one of can buy property

3. what can we do ingame? so far all we can do together is rob stores and take turns on who grabs the money and sell a car every hour. not very exciting or fun

1) You can host missions or other jobs types via the pause menu under jobs and invite each other as well as other players (if you wish). You should also receive random invites to jobs from other players; if the option is turned on, you can invite your friend and others once you've loaded into the lobby.

I'm on PS4, so I'm not sure what you press on PC, but it would be the pause or options menu. There should be a category there labelled jobs; from there you can join a quick random job of a specified type or host a specific job map yourself. They are all broken down into their specified categories; once you find the one you want to host, click to launch it. You will then be taken to the job lobby screen where you can set the options and invite other players. Edited February 4, 2017 by -LN-

If you want more co-op that's easy to start with...

Pause > Online > Jobs > Rockstar created > Contact missions

 

If you want a challenge you can join a heist with your friend if you're in the same session with your phone...

Pull up your phone > Quick jobs > Heist > With friend in lobby

Or you can host a heist if you own any property with a heist room

 

If I were you I'd start by hosting the Fleeca heist, it's the only two player heist and it's not really hard. Once you've played the heists & setups you can buy nice toys to play with like the Hydra jet, Kuruma and Insurgent.

I have been playing this game since it launched on PC. I remembered I was waiting for phone calls from contacts: Lester, Martin, Ron, Gerald to start new contact missions. Some missions are unlocked by Levels. Then I purchased a 6-car Apartment and hoped to start the heist mission. Then I finally knew that it required a High end apartment and I had to sold the original one. You can play the Fleeca heist and some contact missions with your friend in a private session to grind. It is always good to play with friends.
