iFruit Custom Plates

Okay, how the hell does this work? I made a new plate in the app I'd like to use. Only the first out of a potential (max ofcourse) thirty.

I select the car I want it for and make the order. Then what? It doesn't appear on the car. I put it in the garage before making the order and also went back to storymode and online again to check. Not there. I go to LS Customs and Benny's and my plate isn't appearing there either, I just get the standard "custom" plate that has a white background and some random letters and numbers.

 

I check the app and the background of my custom plate has gone from black to white again. Not only that but only eight (seemingly random) vehicles can be selected in the app right now while I have multiple garages filled to capacity.

 

So my question, again: how the hell does this work? Can I not put on a custom plate (which stays the way I want it to look) without restarting the game or something? Will I never be able to put it on the vehicles that I want but only on a select few the game chooses for me? Or is the app simply broken and should I wait until they fix it?

 

EDIT: If it does NOT require a restart of the game or the game to simply not be on when the order is made, how long would it take for the order to be processed?

stay in a freeroam. once you apply your plate you get notification to go to ls customs to apply new order or smh like that. and it works almost instantly.

Well I was in free mode when this all happened. Do I have to be in the vehicle itself at the exact time that I put in the order on the app?

I'll try that again soon enough.

I've been having the same issues with iFruit. Order processes not going through or showing in game. App not showing my last drove vehicles until a day later. I've been trying for 4 days now trying to get it work. 5 days ago it was working perfectly. I've tried uninstalling, unlinking, trying different mobile devices, switching characters, driving about a hundred cars out of garages then back in, making new plates. I've run out of ideas.

Well, got it to work with a plate. Now I'm not sure about the other plates. You're supposed to have up to thirty, but I forgot that they come at a crazy price.

Do I lose 100k for every plate I make, thus totalling at a maximum of 2.9 million IF I create all of them or is it 100k per order and I'll keep having to choose another plate?

When you make a new plate it will cost $100,000 to fit it to the first car, but it will be available for free to all other cars in LSC.

Excellent. I'll be able to make (up to) the thirty plates then and just apply them to various vehicles I have.

 

Little note: I'd mark more posts as solved if I could with multiple questions being answered. Just picking one post so others know they can get some iFruit custom plate info here. Thanks for all the help guys.
