So online runs smoother with the ps4 pro beta patch

*with the ps4 pro beta patch

 

 

In case u haven't heard there is a beta going on for the new software update on ps4. With this came a option for boost mode which takes the full cape ability of old ps4 games that weren't patched for ps4 pro. Thus giving these games higher frame rates and load times.

 

I'm in the beta myself and I have to say online is smooth esp in legion sq where frame rate usually dips. As well loading is super quick now. Lobbies are like in and out and I bearly saw little to no blury textures In a full lobby. which is great no more cloud simulator 2017.

 

Edit seems to be locked to 30fps now unless r* gives a patch for unlocked then this is as good as it gets.

 

 

So this is something to look forward to those who own a ps4 pro.

if u care Plus custom back grounds and external hd support is in the update as well.

Wait till Black Friday if u live in USA u can get a good bundle by then mhm

I personally don't see the need for it, its good to know that you recommend it and that you feel you have got your moneys worth. I will just wait and get a PS5 when Rockstar decide that updating GTA VI on the PS4 is "no longer possible and could cause risk".

The vibe I got, was that all games run better since the patch. So, there's not really any reason GTA should be excluded from that (aside from Rockstar logic, but I doubt that struck).

 

It's relevant. Oh, and this isn't a PS4 general chat section - don't be xbox-phobic.

I mean it comes off as if you came into the thread just for the sake of being pedantic. The point of the thread is clearly to inform others that GTA Online runs better on the PS4 Pro with this new patch, how is that not relevant?

Nice info, Quinn.

Still have my old PS4 hooked on as well, so will be checking today if I can see the difference. Until now I could barely make out a difference between the two consoles with GTAO.

I opened it up and cleaned most of it. Although I didn't remove that plate that sits over the fan. Is that what I'd have to do to truly get the dust out?

Only if there is more than just dust in there; sticky stuff like nicotine. Otherwise just putting a vacuum cleaner on it or using pressurized oxygen will do the trick.

The sh*tty design is in order to get to the internal fan, you need to disassemble the ENTIRE Playstation 4 because it's located on the under side, back right.

 

Since I've upgraded my hard drive, I was looking into replacing the thermal paste on the MB and getting a more durable, quieter fan. But seeing the hassle you gotta go through with just getting to it, it's insane. The console is worth the mods and upgrades, but man that fan is a bitch.

Yeah. Don't understand why they didn't put in the blow function that was on the PS3.

Because you could fry the CPU or GPU doing that, Sony stated that theirselves, that function was meant to test if the fan was working only.

 

Suck the dust off you console with a vacuum cleaner, it works great.
