Being a Scientologist will always give you a leg up.

As in taking abuse and acting like you are in a cult and can't get away. Roll with the punches and never quit, and after a while you won't suck.

A player who kills you in ghost org and texts that he owns you and that his K/D says it all 😅 And then when he cant go OTR and gets killed a few times with your trusty heavy sniper, goes passive and calls you a Pu$$y and texts 'Im a modder enjoy bad sports' 😅 Lol. Wow modder on ps4? Top player indeed😂

I have a high rank but I am cannon fodder in PVP to everyone with a bit of sense.

I do think I have good skilz at heists, missions stunt racing, However I am not sure that makes me a good player.

I would say a top player is someone who is competent in all spheres of the game both PvP and PvE and does not have an overly arrogant attitude to the player base, be it noobs or experienced players....

A helmet, a Marksman rifle, a rocket launcher, a pistol for quick suicide, and a very edgy-looking character with white hair and tribal face-paint.

Bonus if you're shirtless, heavily-tattooed, and have 2-3 friends in your organization who look exactly like you do.

How can you commit suicide with a pistol ? It happend on last gen once or twice, but now he always takes a pill ??

On topic:

To be at the verry top, I quess you should just use cheaper-than-cheap tactics. Nothing for me, I prefer being able to keep up with players. I mostly like low-rank players, fighting them old scool, using 'bad' weapons and sh*tty tactics. One time I killed a (rare) HL-less player using the buzzard's miniguns :) or use only musket/marksman pistol/ normal sniper...

But to be at the top, wear BP helmet, spam passive and boost, use marksman rifle, heavy for long distances, roll-roll-roll when aproaching enemy and kill yourself, followed by teleporting when you know you ain't gonna win. Meh, seems boring to me...,

How can you commit suicide with a pistol ?

With a regular pistol, just be sure to not have anything fitted on, that way you can quickly rest the gun's muzzle on the side of your head effortlessly without having to rely on cyanide pills.

I saw a level 8000 once take out another player with an RPG and go right into Passive mode, as a strategy move.
He said he had a billion GTA$ and several chrome Zentornos.

I was beyond impressed and consider him the greatest GTAO player of all time.

Just saying.

A couple of hours training with Shadowoperative will have you all alpha'd-up and ready to dine at GTAO's top table.

bullshark testoserone, bulletproof helmet, 1st person mode, a marksman rifle, a lack of testicles and a huge tendency to kill yourself when something goes sour.

No Use For A Name

The same way Mike Trout is a perrenial MVP contender - while he might not be the absolute best at one specific thing (other than OPS, but that isn't the point), he excels at damn near everything.

That's easy. You need a modded account with a triple-digit K/D. Then you must preserve it at all costs:

  • You need to wear bullet-proof headgear, "badass" facepaint, and all-black military/paintball gear.
  • You need to be physically addicted to Bullshark Testesterone, and become a CEO so that you can order up a hit any time.
  • You need to master your CEO abilities so that you can remove your dot from the radar for 3 minutes at a time because fighting opponents that can actually see you may result in you dying.
  • You need to learn Learn how to do the sniper shuffle (aka tryhard 2-step). This is paramount. It ensures that you never have to get up close and personal with someone that maybe able to use more than one weapon.
  • You need to be completely disillusioned with life and develop extreme suicidal tendencies so that you can off yourself the moment anyone chips your health bar.
  • You need to be a half-assed bank robber so that you can teleport to your apt to start, then quit the heist when things get too scary out there.

If you do these things, you'll be a top gta online player.

You have to play free aim on PC, everything else is not impressive in my honest opinion.

Versatility, legitimacy, and playability. Able to do a bit of everything, well. Not some weird, single type only, specialist.

All while not needing to cheat in any way, shape or form.

Since there's no real aim to the game, the top players are the ones that enjoy it. If you're not enjoying it then you're doing something wrong.

The top GTAO player is the one that can crouch behind the stage at the strip club whilst really drunk and hold off other players and the cops until all his ammo runs out.

There is really no top player. I wish there was tournaments and league play. That would be so fun and could possibly unearth some of the best GTA players out there

The top player never stops playing. You need to play 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That will make you the top player.

I wont say I'm a "top player" per say but I am rank 122 because I do whatever I gotta do to make money.

There are no top players cause there are too many ways to kill or "beat" a freeroam tryhard. One persons opinion on what wins is diffrent than another. Jet griefers by a few are considered elite while most considers them cowards. Racers are racers. They play tracks till they're good. Hesists the same. If played enough everything is clockwork. GTO is just a curiosity that should never be taken serious enough to become "the best"

Im pretty high rank at 520 (if i remember) but Id just as soon be 120 again as low ranks dont get much attention.

All in all, nobody is top player because not enough time has past to have enough practice in at all activities to be the best.

Modesty.

A skilled player doesn't need to boast about themselves; that's often a sign of insecurity. However, this is all very subjective since we all have our own strengths and weaknesses. Besides, I don't think GTA as a whole is a game based primarily upon skill--sure, you can be experienced and good at doing certain things, but there are just too many variables present. For example, race records, TDM wins/losses, K/D ratio, etc. are poor examples of someone's skill set as these stats can easily be manipulated and do not take into account what all happened to achieve the numbers. A person can be 1,500 - 10 in races, but who were they racing and how many were present? Did someone give them the wins? What sort of options were enabled during the race? What about K/D? It seems to draw the most attention, but it's quite possibly one of the most useless and most misleading stats within the game given how easy is it to use backhanded tactics to boost and maintain a certain number--especially with EOW/passive abuse and the like.

So, I don't think it's quite that easy to lump players into being the best or worst overall. Granted, I have come across some racers who were literally almost unbeatable on a track, but they themselves had "weaknesses" within other areas of the game. I've yet to come across someone who was completely unbeatable and nearly perfect within every element of the game.
