Don't buy the cargobob

No loading screens at the warehouse?

Straight back to the office without even getting out?

Fly in a straight line to sales?

Avoid ground pursuit?

Etc etc.

I do not regret buying my bob. It paid for itself very quickly.

If you struggle to use the cargobob, practice. It works as it should and, with enough practice (and sometimes luck) you can even pick up moving cars.

p1MAoe1xj2ulO.gif

The cargobob makes source and sell vehicle cargo missions very easy and often much quicker. At $80k profit per car sale, in 25 car sales it will have paid for itself. The speed at which 25 sales can be done, and effort required, makes this an easy target to hit even for a casual player.

Nice catch!!! Props for that!

I have done this a few times, but still find it quicker to just reset this one. Usually billboards and police choppers get in the way, and you're down or smoking quickly. If not then you're chasing the guy around while he damages the car for longr than it takes to reset, and get an easier source mission.

I've made over 15mill in the last week and a half primarily using the cargobob on import/export missions. A fork can suck at it's job too if you don't know how to use it.

40 hours play.. It's a big efforthad some extra time off work. And I dont actually do the VIP missions anymore since I found out about the glitch that allows you to skip the wait time between sales. So I'm making the money a bit quicker. But still mostly with the bob regardless Edited by huckmonkey

Literally every mission is more efficently done by using the Buzzard, except the Offshore Mission, which you want to cancel anyway. Cargobob is useless. The Cargobob is slower than driving the car, how can it be a timesaver?

The buzzard is faster to get to the location, yes, but on a 'Bob being slower than driving a car I call BS.

The massive amount of time you save by using the 'Bob to get the car to the warehouse and sequentially selling the car with it blows away the time you save from using a Buzzard to get to the location.

Also the off shore and car meet can be done with buzzard.

Land your bob close to the objective, call in your buzzard.

Blow 'em to hell, get back in bob pick up car.

its dangerous , since the barge can makes fire spread overboard while car meet could cause potential chain-reaction

Did somebody say car meet? Haha i love my bob man all the adventures we had together... All the skinny dipping and the selfies , the selfies!?

We just had a car meet on top of maze bank becouse of cargobobs. It was awsome 3 cargobobs working together to get all the cars up to the roof.

Until the "Hook onto the -car-" prompt the car is invincible.

You forgot the biggest flaw. The cargobob drop glitch where you'll just drop your cargo for no reason whatsoever randomly without warning; sometimes multiple times in one mission

I bought it and hardly use it. I much prefer driving back to the warehouse

Then you also got to take the time into consideration it takes to take out guards/cops, getting out of the Cargobob, getting back into the Cargobob, hooking up the car, re-hooking up the car after you lost it for 34k repair costs and so on. In 80% of the missions with an average distance about 2.5 mils from the warehouse, I'm already back at the warehouse while someone with a Bob would barely has it hooked up.

Warehouse animation is 5-10 seconds faster, CEO Buzzards spawns right next to me and I'd still beat the Bobpilot on my way back to the office.

@ Sky light

I did the off shore and car meet missions with buzzard loads of times, every time the car have 0 damage.

*edit*

The cars seem to be invulnerable to buzzard rockets, just like crate vans.

Don't use grenades or rpg, those will blow up the car.

If you have problems picking up a car, try picking it up from the side.

For example if the car's nose is facing west your bob's nose should be facing north (or south obviously).

That way you can see the car and it makes it easier to pick up.

Try it, it works for me.

It works for me too; one of my friends from this forum showed me this when we were doing I/E together. Some cars (such as the Tyrus) seem harder to pick up at times, but not impossible using this method.

Perhaps I have been lucky, but I've yet to randomly drop any cars from the hook since purchasing my Cargobob.

Any time that Bob missions pops up, I just blow the car up. Not worth the trouble. Your right though, it takes the same, if not longer time to use the Bob as it would to just drive it. It's a great idea in theory, but in practices it's broken to sh*t, like alot of other things.

Of you expect to die alot, it's not as bad... if you go in not wanting to die, your gonna end up pissed.

Buy a Cargobob!

As for the import/export missions - cargobob, cargobob, cargobob!

Cargobob everything you can if the session is ok, there are no buzzard griefers and you don't have a glitched hook!

Every time the damage goes up to $30K because of crazy NPCs and other BS going on I regret driving the car thinking it will be an easy ride.

"Damn, I should have taken the cargobob instead, why I made the same mistake today?"

In 90% of cases cargobob let me to source cars with $0 damage.

> Moving the car from the pickup position to your warehouse may be faster than driving the car, but getting to the car and attaching it to the heli takes longer than just going there in a buzzard and throwing yourself in a parachute

The difference is huge, since you have enemy NPCs chasing you AND / OR blocking the way. Therefore you will lose money AND time. You want to either stay and defend your car against waves of enemies or try to evade the NPCs. But it's much faster to just fly above them. Cargobob gives you the opportunity to stay away from bullets, enemy NPCs and just regular crazy NPCs on the road who tend to damage the sourcing car in panic.

Attaching the car to heli takes practice, yes. But most of the times it's faster than jumping from the buzzard (btw, why not just land the buzzard? you are losing the tool and losing the opportunity if the buzzard is crashed).

> The other problem is that the helicopter is extremely weak for its size. It takes just a few bullets to damage the engine, and you really don't want to transport a car with a damaged engine.

You CAN transport a car with a damaged cargobob engine. I did transport a car from a desert to my warehouse several times and the engine was almost burning. This thing can take a beating.

> It will probably fail when you're right above the car, crushing it and losing 8k in repairs.

It won't fail if you take practice.

Cargobob requires practice just like Buzzard, Hydra and any other vehicle in the game.

> but it's useless in missions where you're chased by helicopters.

Heli will shoot the cargobob, not the car. Cargobob can take a beating (see above).

+ As many players note, you need to gain enough altitude (get very high) and ONLY then start flying to your warehouse. At this point you don't have to slow down because of risk of crashing into the buildings

> The Cargobob is also unpractical for some missions, like the stunt jump one

The stunt jump mission is perfect for cargobob. Don't fight anyone, just pick the car under their noses and fly away.

DO NOT take the stunt jump, DO NOT land the cargobob at all!

Stop listening to game objectives, find your own ways.

> the one with the bomb (as you can just drive to your warehouse while the bomb is being disarmed)

Agree if you can't pick the car right away without landing the bob (because of the building geometry).

> and the one with the time trial (I'm not sure if you can do the race with a helicopter).

Race in supercar, kill the enemy, DO NOT enter the sourcing vehicle, get a cargobob from the nearby pegasus spot, pick the car and fly above your enemies.

> kill the 4 waves and deliver the car

Killing 4 waves takes time. They don't spawn instantly and you need time to prepare. 5 minutes is the best case if you get lucky.

However, the cargobob time is consistent and it rarely goes above 5 min.

> it can suddently detach the car for no reason, making you lose time

If the car detaches - the session is glitched and you will constanly have this bug. The glitch happens because of other players in the session.

In this case you shouldn't use cargobob in the next mission.

Apart from the I/E, i remember the old times when we organized several car shows on a Yacht and I just couldn't find a cargobob for ages!

My thought was: "Damn, why R* just don't allow us to buy one!"

Hi people, I just want to share my experience with this peculiar helicopter that is on sale right now. I wasted 2 millons in the Jetsam version, thinking it would help me do vehicle export missions. I was very wrong. It's by far the worst purchase I ever made, and to be honest I'm pretty angry. I wish I could sell it.

Sorry, you had me at this point, summing it up perfectly. Talk about disappointment (only outdone with the Dump and the MTL Dune).

We're permitted to purchase every standard vehicle in the game, try it out, and if we don't like it, sell it for an agreeable loss.

But, as has been asked on this forum for over 20 years, "why can't we sell Pegasus vehicles?" The answer remains a mystery to all.

Some argue, "all your Pegasus vehicles were bought with cheated money! Rockstar won't just give that back!"

Well, seriously, what would Rockstar have to lose in that? How would that hurt their profits at this stage?

It would mean introducing new opportunities to keep players sticky to the game and keep playing, buying, and generating continued interest in a 3 yr. old product.

How could that be detrimental?

If for nothing more, I just want to clear out my Pegasus list, once and for all. Heck, I'd even pay them to do that! :)

I'm curious on why you would think a cargo helicopter would be fast. Of course it's the slowest helicopter

It would actually be the fastest out of V without DLC.

Maverick (Bell 206) = 241 Km/h --- 150 mp/h

Buzzard (MH-6 Little Bird) = 282 Km/h --- 175 mp/h

Frogger (Eurocopter EC130) = 287 Km/h --- 178 mp/h

Annihilator (UH-60 Black Hawk) = 294 Km/h --- 183 mp/h

Cargobob (CH-47 Chinook) = 315 Km/h --- 196 mp/h

now it still takes 3rd place.

Maverick (Bell 206) = 241 Km/h --- 150 mp/h

SuperVolito (EC-145) = 268 Km/h --- 167 mp/h

Buzzard (MH-6 Little Bird) = 282 Km/h --- 175 mp/h

Frogger (Eurocopter EC130) = 287 Km/h --- 178 mp/h

Annihilator (UH-60 Black Hawk) = 294 Km/h --- 183 mp/h

Valkyrie (UH-1Y Venom) = 304 Km/h --- 189 mp/h

Swift (Agusta AW109) = 311 Km/h --- 193 mp/h

Cargobob (CH-47 Chinook) = 315 Km/h --- 196 mp/h

Volatus (Airbus H155) = 324 Km/h --- 201 mp/h

Savage (Mi-24 Hind) = 335 Km/h --- 208 mp/h

Yeah, for some reason the Tyrus is harder to pick up than other cars.

You have to pick it up by the spolier. Works 90% of the time, as opposed to 10% when trying to pick it up any other way.

Yeah, I hate the cargobob too.

It randomly dropping it's cargo is my biggest point for hating it. And it's slow and a giant target. I never make it back to my warehouse in it.

The bomb in car mission for example. Pick it up with the Cargobob and save the minute and half bomb timer.

That being said it more importantly saves a lot of damage to the vehicle. Especially on solo sell missions!

It's been resonated before throughout this thread - Don't blame the tools just because you don't have the skills to use them.

I'm so glad I never wasted money on the bob. I export cars 100% free of damage anyway, so I don't need it for that.. and it sounds too unreliable when it comes to sourcing.

I'm tellin you.. the cheapest warehouse has good spots all around there to park the car, get out and kill the Sultan npcs, then deliver with no damage. $100k every time. That tractor parts lot is the spot

Most bomb missions I get, the car is in a enclosed area or at the corner of an L shaped house. You can't pick it up with the cargobob in those cases.

About the stunt jump mission, the guards always detect me if I try to pick up the car, and they break the engine in a few shots. I have to either do the jump without killing anyone and then go get the cargobob, or kill everyone, grab the car, and fly to my warehouse avoiding the enemy helicopter.

Yeah, once I discovered that spot, I always use it. The car never takes damage, and there are plenty of cover there to wait for the sultans and kill them quickly.

To everyone else who made constructive critics instead of calling me noob, thanks for the tips. I did a few more missions with the cargobob, and it isn't that bad. Evading the pursuers saved me a couple of minutes, and I'm able to do two vip work missions between sales most of the time, which gives me more money per hour than crate missions. The cargobob seems to work well in "ideal conditions", but sometimes something goes wrong and I have to destroy the car.
