"You are now the proud owner of Richard Majestoc, Apt. 4"

So I logged on to GTAO with my main and got the message "You are now the proud owner of Richard Majestic, Apt. 4, a luxury apartment with a 10 car garage." I went over to check it out, just to be sure, and saw that I did not in fact own that apartment. No money was missing from my character, so I'm not sure what was up with that. Anyone else have this happen?

I have had something similar to this happen to me before but I spawned into a session and it said that I owned a yacht. I saw the icon on the map so I went to go check it out but I couldn't go inside of the yacht or use any of it's features (yacht services). I was even with a friend who said that it was on his map as well and showed up as a friend's yacht. I had not bought one (until recently) and I'm not sure exactly what triggered it to happen.

I had one pop up on my second character the other day.

 

If it popped up on my main, no thank you. I don't need anymore apartments.

Wasn't the apartment a gift for people starting their second character at rank 120?

If you make a second character, copying their ranks over you get that apartment free.

I think it's probably a similar glitch to the one that highlights a new player if a previously highlighted player leaves the lobby. So in otherwords, you recieved someone else's notification, because that person left the lobby before they could recieve it. So the game sent it to the next person on the player list.

Or the one where you get gifted someone else's Headhunter mission. Had that a few times.

Well, when i changed my CEO Office to Lombank, i got the wooden interior for free on both chars of mine. But that's the only thing that gets to my mind.
