After many working years,now GTA SA doesn't start

There are many threads about not working game but all of them are locked so let me start a new one.

The game (version 1.0) was working well until last week,, that wat the last time i was playing gta sa. When i want to start gta sa now, i see only circle at mouse cursor which mean something is happening. And that's all - no black screen, nothing. The game doesn't start but i see it in task manager as background process. Deleting gta_sa.set nor reinstalling has no effect. Also gta_sa.set is not re-created after trying to launch the game.

What can i do? Can i move the game as background process to foreground program?

Each persons problem is their own, piggy backing on someone elses only confuses things.

 

Is the DVD clean and unmarked, (no scratches, cracks, scuffs)?

What Operating System Do you use?

Where were you when last played (missio, task)

Is the Game modified in any way?

 

Sometimes posting that last save can assist other to work out if the problem is a result of the save.Please, usehttp://gtasnp.com/

 

Have you tried prior saves?

I have many saves, first of them is completed game and modified with savegame editor (italian mafia is in entire las venturas, is hostile and have other weapons). I play this one just for having fun with killing gang,

 

I have windows 8.1. cleo 4.3, digital speedometer 1.1 fix 3, vehiclespawner

 

I reinstalled the game to another folder (my first folder was "\games\gta san andreas", the game is installed now in "\games\gta sa"), but initially no effect. Folder "gta san andreas user files" had only empty folders Gallery and User tracks, and no files. Then i copied gta_sa.set from backup to this folder and game works!

 

When the game was installed in first folder, i tried many things: e. g. i deleted user files folder, copied folder from backup, copied gta_sa.set etc. and all these acts has no effect. It seems that first folder is blocked. The game is not in blocked list in firewall.

This part of the forums does not deal with modded games.

Uninstall everything. clear out every file.

Reinstall from your disc, and play using the disc as the key to the game.
