GTA needs to more racing like I need a hole in my head. Even less, a full dlc devoted to racing

The carbine rifle is a Mary Sue. Everything about it is perfect, which makes it uninteresting to use.

The Heist teleport to Apartament/Facility should be removed, it does more harm than good.

 

Most of the people who use it are tryhards teleporting to their Facilities to get a cheap kill with the Orbital Cannon.

 

At least it shouldn't teleport you to your Facility, it should be like a normal Job lobby, if you exit you respawn where you left on the map.

At the end of the day, leakers do us no favors. We end up getting what we get, and by peeking under the christmas wrap to see the ugliest possible representation of vehicles without textures/wheels/context, and leads to silly anger at Rockstar when the vehicles in the leak list that you want most end up being dripfed, when really we're all to blame for ruining our own surprise. These are all free updates to a game that by industry standards could be considered ancient at this point.

 

That said, of course everyone looks at the leak list, I do too, if I had more conviction perhaps I wouldn't, but it's a bit hard to avoid on here.

I feel upset. The new dlc has good content, yet none of them gets me hyped. I was expecting a Hipster part 2 with weird stuff, clothes, guns and vehicules.

Second time i get disappointed by a dlc. First one being Freemode Event update.

At least now that i see the Cheburek i can expect any non-us cars to appear in-game.

Feels like they riped off Saints Row the third and 4th one.

 

I think the hunter is crap in performance and looks. The tail rotor looks awful, they could have went with the 80s one and that rocking side to side is stupid.

Even thought i can understand that some people would like to have R* take a second shot on the design of some cars (Dukes, Jester classic, Ellie, etc ...) i am convinced that it's never going to happen. I prefer R* to focus on new cars than having to go back and re-work on previous content.

Some people won't like my opinion and i'm sorry about that, but we have to move on and hope for the best for future contents so everyone gets what they asked for, even if it's badly done. It's R* way to do quantity over quality.

Especially the Hotring races. Did 3 races on a break yesterday, first on had one of the backwards driving [email protected] so the host went no contact in the next 2 races. I came 3rd then 1st but it was so boring I took the money and quit.

 

If I'm hosting Hotring races it's customs, contact and slipstream on, catch up off.

Couple of unrelated recent ones:

- On the whole, I think the R*-designed Issi Classic looks better (specifically, more faithful to the lines of the real thing) than the Vanillaworks version, which has some questionable design choices, IMO (specifically, the decidedly non-Mini headlights, and the top of the grille).

- I think this leaked 'consolidating all businesses together' update is a really bad idea - it's stupid enough that instead of creating new organisations for things like aircraft hangars and underground military bases, R* just made them an extension of SecuroServ and ...random biker gangs?!?

That, and it just reinforces the idea that instead of letting players pick and choose the things they want to do in the game, R* is effectively saying that ALL players must own the full office/clubhouse/vehicle warehouse/bunker/MOC/hangar/facility/Avenger package. Because who cares if that's far removed from the game's roots, or not why you play the game, right? This is what it is, now - this is 'SecuroServ Online'.

I do not like when random players involve their Deluxos into a contact mission. It's kind of a buzz-kill for me since i like when the mission has some difficulties and needs to be done carefully. I do it for the money sure, but it's less fun when these guys finish the job in less than 5 minutes ... Makes you feel useless.

I disagree. If we can get so many vehicle in same class, why can't we have more weapons? We shoot and dtive for at least 80% of time yet guns are pretty much ignored.

 

What kind of game this is if we don't have classic 1911? What about Glock for more modern and tacticool guys? Couple of actually usable revolvers? Colt Python, or SW model 29? Dirty Harry anyone? Hunting rifles?

 

Not to mention dozens of other SMGs or assault rifles.

I don't crave for the mode either, but the theme of this dlc could bring fitting vehicules you and i have been asking for, for a long time (a police Bravado Buffalo classic or a tuner Jester Classic for example). I doubt a Hipster dlc would be able to do that.

 

As for the GTA IV multiplayer, at least there wasn't any goofy mememobile ... And griefing wasn't a thing such as now. Simpler times i would say and a little bit of nostalgia.

The argument of R* made uber amounts of $$$ on this game they can afford X,Y,Z is an invalid one.

 

As I've stated before this is a business and therefore they're there to make money not spend it. In order for X, Y, Z to be added they need to convince TTI and their shareholders the extra expense that X, Y, Z requires will be worth it. If they spend $300,000 to hire a voice actor or license a song or whatever they need to pass a charisma check to convince the shareholders that the feature(s) will sell enough copies/shart cards to make a profit to get that budget.

 

It's not about how much money they already made but what potential money will it help them make. Gta5 is now the most (legal) profitable entertainment piece (sans merchandising) exactly how much more potential profit margins can they milk?
