The weapon wheel should've been much smaller. I wish it was like the previous games where we could only have one weapon in each class (e.g. one pistol, one SMG/MG, one sniper rifle.)

The Nokota isn't the Rustler, and shouldn't be treated like it's just a renamed version of the same - it's better, more accurate to the real-life P-51, and with a much more apt name.

Well...if it was me, I would just make the weapon/ammo carrying capacity realistic, like in any normal shooter. And ofc remove some things peoples love, like the minigun, the interaction menu that allows peoples to buy 50 RPG/homing launcher rockets.

 

I guess its an unpopular opinion, lvl 680 here and I still don"'t own that meme weapon the minigun, all my weapons are stock black colors, I don't like the new tints available from Gunrunning update, all is so ugly...

Oppressor is great fun. I've been using it as the go to vehicle of choice lately, and amusing myself trying to land it on top of Maze Bank.

 

The Vigilante by contrast, is rubbish, and I'm going to sell mine.

At first I though the name "Nokota" sounded more Japanese and was really unfitting for a plane modeled after the North American P51 Mustang, but the more I read it the more it started sounding Native American instead. Then I learned what the word actually means("a feral or semi-feral horse located in the badlands of North Dakota") and now I believe they chose the absolute perfect name for it as the in game alternative to the Mustang. It would be cool to see the Rustler name return on a different WWI era fighter plane like the P40 or Spitfire though.

[No Use For A Name]

I only buy flares because they make for an excellent makeshift fireworks show. I really wish they came in different colors, or even multicolor. I have no desire to use them for their intended purpose

It is a highly unpopular opinion that killing AFK players is a "bad" thing, in that it's unfair and kind of IRL-mean.

However, it is my opinion, however unpopular it may be, that if you walk away from your stinky couch to go eat a Manwich,™ then your character is open season to all hunter wanna-be's.

The best part about killing AFK players, of course, is that it sometimes attracts the local do-gooder who sees what your doing and wants to teach you a lesson, only to come out to your location and be schooled on what 13-1 is all about.

See, I've never bought into the daft 'you can see the point where The Benz left here, because that's where updates suddenly went downhill' conspiracy nonsense - he was out of the company long before the game even launched, so ...nah.

 

But based on several interviews over the last couple of years (specifically, the ones with IGN shortly before Heists and Freemode Events, and the recent pair of retrospective puff pieces with IGN and Game Informer), I'm definitely starting to think that Imran Sarwar views 'videogamey Fun™' as more important to GTAO (and maybe GTA or even games in general) than things like immersion and verisimilitude, which are things The Benz put front and centre (and still does, going by what he's said about his current project, 'Everywhere').

 

That explains things like the increasing amount of context-free wackiness in everything from adversary modes and stunt races, through things like Freemode events, down to items, vehicles, etc. Does it matter if things like the Beast make no sense in terms of the game setting? Does it make sense for Fort Zancudo to suddenly let biker gangs by hangar space and run an aerial smuggling operation? Does it matter that 'suddenly, Batmobile!'? In Sarwar's world, clearly not - but in GTA IV, or GTA V, or the first couple of years of GTAO (while R* were still working from their original road map for the game)? I highly doubt it, somehow...

Before GTAO reaches its end, I want to see R* do a livestream focusing around playing freemode. No gamemodes, no invite only-sessions, no solo sessions- just hop right into a random lobby. At least do a crate sale, export a top range I/E car, sell a Gunrunning shipment, sell Smuggler's crates, and any MC business sell missions. While they're at it, go buy some clothes. Get into a freeroam war. Freemode stuff. And I want to hear what they think based on what they played in that session.

Tons of unpopular opinions (and items)

 

I love the Ballistic Equipment and it's useful.

The Minigun is good.

I like my MKII weapons without special ammo tyoes.

I love the Assault Rifle MKII, and personally think it should do more damage than the Carbine in exchange for the fact the Carbine has a higher accuracy and range.

The Buzzard is pretty useless outside of CEO now due to PAs (Savage, Hunter, Hydra, Lazer, Pyro, etc.)

Renaming your organization and MC shouldn't be as expensive as it is now.

I will buy a Hydra and a Hangar before I get a Buzzard, and it's worth it.

I will buy a Rhino Tank because they are fun and awesome regardless if they're really underpowered.

I will get the majority of the GR vehicles.

I use a BP helmet all the time, but it's always for cosmetics, couldn't give a crap if they removed the effects of it

It's a death sentence in a PVP situation, but in PVE it's as good as the Insurgent Pickup if your driver knows how to dodge missiles. The gunner being exposed isn't as much of a problem if you got plenty of snacks like you'd do in Series A Funding.

Agree with this. All you need is a pistol, silenced weapon, rapid fire weapon, melee weapon shotgun, heavy gun weapon. Once you have those you no longer need to weaker weapons, and the weapon safe is pretty kack. Though I think 3 explosive (grenade type) should be available.

 

By the way. I used the rail gun in a bunker mission but can you unlock it to use all the time at some point?
