How would you prefer the Ruiner 2000?

Really, it is the best thing to use against jets, the vip mission version, but even a semi proper pilot as me is honestly unfazed at this sh*tty thing

Even in the cases i get hit, which happens often since as soon as i am not doing a good divebomb there will be a rocket after me, and i am far from a jet master, the rocket has not killed me yet, just damaged me.

So, noticed something when a friend and I were repeatedly fighting a Ruiner 2000. Does the Ruiner have a weakspot or something?

Our would-be griefer had a habit of blowing up when under fire from a couple of AP Pistols.

The first time, only a few seconds after we ambushed him when he left his vehicle warehouse, we had practically slammed him into a wall with the Insurgent and were spraying the car with bullets, only for it to explode, to our great surprise and giving my friend the kill.

The second time was after a lengthy car chase, we had been spraying him with bullets the entire time. After once again ramming him into a wall, he managed to make his escape, only for us to follow, the car still seemed in decent shape, no smoke or anything.about 5 sec later, still shooting him, he tried to jump from a bridge, only for his car to, once again, explode.

Is this a common thing?

^ Same as most cars, it has a petrol tank weak spot in front of the rear left wheel. Other than that, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Usually that happens when someone is holding a sticky bomb out their window and it catches a round - did he have a passenger?

I have yet to be killed in it more than once in a free-roam session (watch me get killed 20 times tonight, lol). It locks on to EVERYTHING it seems (previous poster was right about setting your targeting priority). OP, keep in mind, you literally cannot keep still in it for more than 5 seconds or you will get sniped. But once you get the jumping/parachute thing down, you can be almost unstoppable.

I've killed pilots that have been dominating a lobby for 30 minutes even with the pv ruiner. It's easy with ghost org and stalk the jet, jump up on a building roof and just wait for the right moment, once you lock him, spam 2 or 3 missiles together, never fire just 1. Other option is just come at him head on like a psyco and jump just as he fires his cannons. The ruiner jumps high enough to escape the splash damage and you fire 2 missiles. The first will hit him on the nose, the 2nd will turn 90 degrees and blow him up on the engine. As for the VIP, play smart with that thing and you can kill multiple Hydras per ruiner. Hydra pilots generally wont go up in the air until the VIP is over though, then they will try for revenge. In the vip ruiner getting pounded by a hydra can be a death wise for the hydra, you can spam 5 missiles in the ruiner while its spinning in the air, enough rockets to kill every vehicle in 360 degrees.

I still got to see that so....

I'd be in favour of refill stations in the car parks of Ammunation, like a job ring where you drive in and you have to stop and hold a button or something similar, and it charges you $X amount to refill your missiles. Either that or leave it in a room with a Rocket Voltic for a night with some Barry White, a ton of booze and no condoms. Imagine if the Ruiner 2000 also had a rocket!

I wish the Rocket Voltic had a parachute.. that would be a perfect time to let the boost refill.. then we could unhook it and blast off again.

I'd be happy if it would just refill when you were in the air full stop! Only once have I managed to get it to refill from hitting a building with all 4 wheels.

Too bad it only refills when all 4 wheels hit the ground

Would explain the second explosion, however during the first he had the right side turned towards us, and no, he were alone and never once used any other weapons than what's on the Ruiner.
