So transfers are soon coming to an end.

Now i was wondering, just how many of you people are still around that do want to transfer in the near future, but simply can afford a next gen console yet?

 

Maybe few people here can simply help by transfering these people to current gen consoles ahead of time. Like i for example have a PS4, i could simply transfer that person's account right now, so it will be ready for use in a couple of months whenever that person finally has obtained a PS4 as well.

Several people have done that with the help of forum members; you just need to remember that once you've transferred, any more progress made on the last gen version won't be carried over.

I'd understand doing it with a friend, but a stranger on a forum? Oh well, it's not my risk to take. I've got a PS4 to use if I want to copy my other account.

If after all this time you really wanted to transfer and you still can not afford it you should consider working more....or you should realy consider having a spending problem with money.

Or you are underaged and you got no buisness playing this game, or you just came out of prison or something

 

edit: or fair point, you should simply not consider buying a ps4 ever because of financial issues.

Not all people live in high income countries like you and me.

 

I have a friend in Egypt, he makes less than 150 euro a month.

With that money he have to pay rent, food for the family, electrical bills and school for his children.

 

A ps4+GTAV cost the same there as it does in Europe.

It's always a risk, yes. But if you use a bit of logic and common sense, it's not that hard to filter out some people who are very unlikely to screw you over.

But saying that people are lazy or just got out of jail if they can't afford a CG console is pretty ignorant.

For people in high income countrys, maybe.

 

I just wanted to point out that not everyone is rich, and some people can work their ass off and still can't afford it.

So calling them lazy is not fair. imo

Some people wait for the price of a console to go down. This could be years after it comes out. What's wrong with that? Absolutely nothing.

What's wrong with doing things at your own speed? Especially if you can save some money in the process.

If you cannot afford a luxury in life then i'm afraid that is just tough luck. I don't earn lots, I have a family and financial responsibilities, I had to save to get my current gen console too, I'm not negating hardship, just that some expect that owning a PS4/X1 is a given rather than a simple choice or optional extra. I've missed out on things before and I've been able to get into other things another time, sh*t happens, but life should take priority and the rest of the world cannot wait for everyone to keep up and all to have the same things.

@ BlackMilk... Exactly dude... Never understood the hype thing, why everyone must have that new thing right now, well not as an adult anyhow... I get why kids want all the new stuff so keenly, simple peer pressure, but this is an adult game so i'll address it so... For grown ups to be like children, so desperate to get the newest things, sometimes without even knowing why, what or how, is beyond me. Are these same adults teaching their children that you must desire a fickle toy more than real life success? I hope not as the future will be bleak if so...

I was going to put my hand up to do transfers for people. I don't especially want to do the prologue 1000 times but I'll pitch in for say 10. PS I use to play GTA on PS3 with a Filipina girl and she simply can not afford a PS4 at all and probably wont be able to untill she's well out of college. Great girl and she loves GTA but the reality is the vast majority of the worlds population can't afford new consoles. Rockstar wouldn't have taken the decision lightly but they have tried and absolutely failed to increase thier security. This will stop accounts being sold which is the problem, even I who love modded accounts simply can not morally agree with people selling accounts. DIY for your own use OK, selling.. No.

I can volunteer, but rules should be designed and implemented: use different mail for your account, not your main mailbox and always change passwords for starters. I can do 2-3 accounts per day with my workload. But we need a designated topic for it. Mods, what do you think? I won't be able to do it alone so let's think it out loud.

One other thought about this. It's all good intentions I'm sure, but are we sure this is even allowed? I'm not sure how Rockstar feels about this, what their policy is. But I know that at least with (for example) Blizzard, you're not supposed to be sharing accounts in any way, that includes letting other people know your login details.

I would advise people to be very careful with this stuff. Maybe be careful what you say outside of PM's.

I do believe you have to have a copy of the game for the console you're copying to. Pretty sure the option to copy characters is on the enhanced version, not the original.

You'll need someone who owns the game on the target platform.

All you need to do is:

 

-Create a new user on a current gen console or PC;

-With this new user, you log into PSN/LIVE on the current gen console or PC, since you don't own a current gen console or PC, you will have to share your game tag AND password;

-Start GTA Online on current gen consoles or PC, with the user that your gamer tag is registered and accept the transfer.

-The friend who is doing the transfer for you can alter your character or leave it at how it current looks, or you can do that yourself once you get a console by paying 100,000 in-game money.

 

Also, your account MUST be 30 days old atleast.

 

I'm already have someone from here to help with this on the weekend, so I don't think I can help anyone else as my time available to do the process is limited.

He doesn't have to own a copy of the game now, only his friend on current gen must own the game copy.

He can buy the game copy and a console later on, as long as his friend has done the transfer already, his character should be waiting for him.

He will need the copy when he buys a new console so he can play, not when he transfers. Pretty logical. Unless this is what you meant then disregard this comment.

 

E: Nevermind you meant the person helping with the transfer. Yeah of course he needs it.

I'm sure if you ask one of the 5 star rated people who've been around for awhile, they'd do it for you. Personally I don't want that responsibility, but still. Lots of help here.
