How much money can mugger or other players take off you, is there a limit

It depends on your rank. If your rank is comparatively high a mugger can snatch upto 10,000$ from you. Make sure you deposit the money frequently.

Yeah it's 10% of cash up to 100,000 so 10,000 is max take.

Do you drop money when you are killed by other players/AI/or kill yourself?

 

Am I right in thinking that you used to drop up to $500 for other players to pick up but they took it out the game, so now you pay hospital bill instead (which shows on your bank transactions) but the amount of it varies?

I think you can only lose up to 500$ (10% from 5000$) from in hand cash. Hospital bill can vary from 200$-2000$. Hospital bill must be affected by the bank money.
