How will rockatar ensure GTAO is "cheater" free in 2017?

Stopping accounts from being transferred over from last gen is a good start. Rockstar wont say exactly what they will do, because there so many no life people that are determined to cheat in a video game.

Machine learners in GTA 5 or 6. Basically, what a machine learners can be very powerful, they can do what a human does in a millionth of a second and are even useful then humans themselves in cybersecurity. However, you might have to have a good connection so that's why I say GTA 6.

I've been hearing rumors of a gta5 mod menu being released for ps4 recently. Anyone know if this is true.

Yes there is a mods on PS4 but it's currently not possible to go online as the only way to mod the PS4 is using a very early firmware update. And spoofing it in the current firmware is not possible.

exactly. As people read their little PR statement on the newswire about cracking down on cheaters their game is infested with mod menus and beggars asking for free money.

It's quite pathetic that R* even mention they put any effort into stopping cheaters. It's like a kid claiming he cleaned his room but didn't even bother to stuff all his dirty laundry in the closet or under the bed... pathetic.

I was playing last weekend and can safely say w/e that update was 3 days ago did not remove the cheaters.

The bad part about them removing the ability to transfer accounts means more people are gonna do money glitches and exploits. There never gonna win against the "cheating" problem. Well to be fair money glitches are in every gta game even gta v and online. Imagine if they spent as much time as they spend removing money glitches as fixing the game, re balancing the game, fixing network issues, fixing the saving failed problem from the last 3 months, removing glitched K/D, removing insane levels over 2000. They only seem to care about fixing anything involving money and glitches. Its sad were to the point where we basically have to somehow involve a "money glitch" into one of the problems above for them to fix it.

 

Hey R* every time I get a network error or saving failed, the game gives me $1,000,000. I think you should take a look into the problem. Hey R* this guy in this lobby has a K/D of 269,069 and it is giving you that amount in money every time you check his profile. R* please look into the this "gamebreaking" glitch.

The line that got me was - helping us crack down on cheaters and malicious hackers by reporting them through the games menu. -

 

In-game menu. Exploited by people already filing false reports. I doubt they'll be checking as much.

But after bikers they did say bans would be a one strike and your out deal. Depends if they check properly or just auto-ban for a certain amount of reports, or do nothing.

This is what scares me a bit. It's not nearly as bad as it was back in 2013-14, but salty f*cks and people that just don't know any better WILL report you just for killing them, or because you have a higher rank/KD than them. My rank isn't even crazy, only +560. Maybe a new player that is progressing slowly doesn't believe my rank is legit, so they report. It DOES happen. Hell, I've been called a cheater since rank 200.

 

I'm not terribly worried but there is some level of paranoia being around other players. Never know.. Maybe someone notices you can't buy a beerhat and reports me for wearing mine. It's that kind of sh*t I'm worried about.

 

That sh*t landed me in a bad sport lobby for one month. If you didn't know, getting reported gives you a bad sport point. Ridiculous.

Just a few situations where I have been told I was reported for being a hacker. Kinda scary that the punishment might be me losing over 3 years of progress permanently.

 

As for the post above me, yeah I know all about BS, I've received more time then that. Although in all honesty I did deserve about half the overall time I ever received. Only half though, the other half is being reported by griefers that I bested. I'm a bit rusty these days though and what little time I have to play I've been focusing on getting my heists done. Finally finished the last one last night, after all this time. Lol

Whatever they're going to do (if they're going to do anything at all), they certainly haven't done a damn thing as of yet. In the last week I've seen more modding than I ever have. Almost every single lobby I join, there is something going on. Today I left a lobby because I kept getting spawn-killed by multiple chrome super cars being dropped on top of me. Immediately joined another lobby full of even more modder chaos, including fiery f*cking meteors falling from the sky and blowing everything up. Made for some cool pics at least.

 

 

I just keep reporting the malicious modders when I run into them and cross my fingers that R* will fix this plague someday.

what i want to know is why arent gta youtubers like mrclickbaitftw for example being banned when they publicly broadcast to hundreds of thousands their obviously glitched money? I see a lot of famous gta youtubers with unrealistically large amounts of money but they aren't being banned or having their money swiped.

@ FlacidJack: That's a pretty creepy message there--never seen that one until now (even as a nutcase that collects new screens for reference).

 

Either it's a very rare condition/error, or it's something new that (IMO anyway) R* may be trying to pull to eliminate solo public sessions?
