They've been doing this on PC since the early fall of 2016. Some sites give you two codes, some just one. But there are better sites that I have not seen anyone advertise that sell the pc 8 mil card for 38.00

Last I checked this was January 2017, not December 2016.

December is a month where many students have time off. My friends list shows nearly no one playing GTA as were last month many were. December is a fluke month in terms of long term player trends because so many have time off and whatnot.

You're argument is a red herring that ignores the real trends in the game - the playerbase as a whole is dropping over time as all games do and the Dev themselves are prepping themselves to move on a well. These sales are designed bleed more from the stone. If you want to deny that, then gravity had the best year ever in 2016. My point? Your point is a waste.

December was the most active of all time for online.

This shows me that sales are falling off. The playerbase is falling off.

"Fire sale" to bleed out the last sales. GTV and GTA:O is in it's twilight of active support.

I am telling you, i said it once before at some thread i do not remember....they are going to drop the overall price on each gta 5 copy soon.

Or at least, that is my speculation, but reading this i'm getting even more convinced i am right.

No reason why they can't have GTA on PSN for free at this point I kid you not. The game is entirely setup like a free game, it's ready to rock the shark card world. Even if they test the waters by giving it up on the monthly free games first.

Not sure if i understand right.

Sure the shark card sales already make good money, but i do not know if they could sell the game for free and still make profit since i do not know what it takes to make gta5 downloadable on psn.

Sure i am fairly sertain this would be a bad decision buisness wise since there are still solid copies found in all stores, thus if they make gta5 free to download those solid copies would not get sold unless they become free to, which means that in the end they probably would make a loss in the end in general.

Also even if that would still not make losses, i do not see why they would do it since people apperantly still buy the game at full price currently.

They are a business that after three years still has a hot product, one that hasn't sunk to the point of needing a discount a few months after release like most games. No business, ever, has said "you know what, I think we've made enough money. Let's give this away from now on". It won't ever happen. Take-Two shareholders wouldn't let it happen. You always make hay while the sun shines.

Except for the fact people are still willing to pay full price and we're not living in a communist society.

So enticing but at this point I'm not really interested in buying cards anymore considering that it looks like the game is slowly coming to an end (JUST MY OPINION).

Game & $100 card = $61.19

Just the $100 card = $89.99

Well, Overwatch had its Origin edition on sale for 30 while the regular version on PC was 40.

That's what happens with sales. Sometimes the "usually expensive" option becomes cheaper than the other option.
