Character transferring from 360/ps3 ending

Yes the day has finally come upon us. On march 7th 2017 character transfers will no longer be available

And this is big for normal players, but even bigger for modders who create modded accounts on ps3/360 and then transfer the accounts.

Well they did say from the off the ability to transfer would be temporary.

Finally a permanent stop on all the modded accounts.

 

For all you guys still playing on PS3 or XBox360:

Transfer your accounts before the final date on a friend's console. You can still play on old gen then, but have the insurance of not having to start all over when you do upgrade.

Ahh, I was going to buy a modded console just for coloured special vehicles but I guess not worth it now. The account is only half finished but theres a useful 500mil, may as well transfer it and call it quits.

Legit player here with a little bit more than 1.5 million in the bank, I still spam Ghost Organization with Off Radar + Hydra when I fell really pissed with someone.

You do realize that legit players do that too? All you gotta do is wait for a money glitch or simply grind. It's not exclusively a thing that cheated accounts do.

Well, i do not really care since i already transfered and since the disabling of such things ain't gonna fix much.

 

modded rollers are no longer a thing on ps4 and xboxone, PC is still as f*cked as before, old gen is still as f*cked as before and since i stopped caring about rockstar their war on cheater i do not give a f*ck if people transfer their cheat cash or not.

 

Really, i can neither see it as a bad thing or a good thing....it is completely irrelevant to me.

 

But hey, guess for those that still have not transfered yet, do it while you can.

 

That being said, hearing this news i am simply expecting a price drop on the game soon...i just somehow do not see this as a sign of any big update dropping TBH.

There is not much reason to assume rockstar will be capable to do that.

In fact, looking at their track record they are doing a terrible job at getting the game rid of cheaters of any kind.

Not really "legit" if you use glitches. Word kind of becomes meaningless if we shift the boundary of what we consider legitimate ways of making money back and forth.

But our shared point remains, like you said, anyone can get rich on 'current gen' without having to transfer modded accounts.

Get what you're saying and do kinda agree. But R* does want glitches to be part of the game. They left all the 3D gen games intact when they were transferred to current gen with all the glitches.....and you even have to use a glitch to get a platinum on Vice City on PS4.

If you're saying stuff like the broken swing in GTA IV then sure.

But I don't believe Rockstar *wants* to keep glitches in. I thought that'd be obvious because they keep patching them, don't they?

So specifically there may be some stuff that they're okay with. But they don't seem to be appreciative of the money glitches.

 

If they didn't care about that, I don't think they'd also be banning "modders" who do nothing but make themselves filthy rich.
