Indentical Zentorno's with different speeds.

Like others have said it's probably R2.

Even with stripping, modifying and rebuilding my DS4 (countless times) I was still only getting 80/90% throttle.

Buying a new one saw me wheelspinning all over the place again.

@ Jakemo

Yeah they're either built to fail and/or just poorly designed.

It isn't R2. They switched cars and the car he owns was still slower.

I know the difference with having the same car very well. Playing with my notebook with not that high FPS, pretty much everyone in races (almost the only place to have people with the exact same car as you) is way faster than me with the identical car. But nvm I do not care about races anyway :p

Well it's probably his friend double clutching as you suggested or the mod delete glitch that came with bikers.

Outside of re-buying and re-modding the same car to test, I dunno what else to suggest?

Do both cars have full armor and bullet proof tires? I've noticed in freeroam only, when I drag with my friends, I'm always out front and they're baffled.

Edit: my cars have zero armor, but most still have bullet proof tires.

Dr Labuschagne

Which platform? If it is PS4, perhaps it is the R2 button of your controller--it can wear out through extended use and when that happens, it will often result in poor acceleration/speed. I've seen this happen before quite often, but was this the only car you tried?

This definitely, but its mostly perf mods missing...

I changed the engine parts to minimum and then back to max and the car is back to full speed. I have offroads on so it still seems a little slower than his but I expect that is due to the offroad tyres.

I'm sure others have said this and I'm not going to read the thread but the answer is the R2 button for sure if you are on PS4. Always race on a new or rebuilt controller.

No, it isn't. If you read the OP you would know why not.

I did read the first post, it's R2. Happens to everyone.

It's R2? So when I drove his car and I was then faster than he was in my car, did my R2 then decide to make me go faster?

You understand what I am saying right? No matter who drove my car, his was always faster.

offroad tires don't make the car slower!

they only handle bumps a little better.

everything else stays absolutely the same.

placebo and subjective feelings/opinions are not facts.
