Yeah, it's not all that. And I can't get over the transformation from an electric car (original Voltic) to the sudden super-octane discharge on the environment. A weird choice of vehicles, Rockstar :lol: .

E: personally I have more fun and drive the RV more. I own both. Ruiner definitely has the better mission but RV is more fun in freeroam. When I bought it i drove it around for quite a while doing no activities other than driving around and launching myself all over the place. That's rare for me, if I'm in game I try to always be doing some kind of job and the RV broke that habit... for a while anyway. Must have been cruising around for at least an hour or two not "working".

There is a way, you edit the original post, and right below the search bar there is a option that says "manage topic poll" - click it - then the box pops up that you fill out.

You forgot the machine guns too. But that's the exact reason why it should win. It can do a lot more than an RV. And besides a car with rocket engine? Not that special.

Nah. I've not had a single person use it against me yet. Or even SEEN one that wasn't my own.

 

It's week as sh*t, has sh*t guns and doesn't let me use my own, has limited rockets, is nerfed to sh*t compared to the mission version... etc.

 

If you want it to actually be fun for more than a minute, you need the VIP mission version. Which spawns across the map. And has a timer. And a one hour cool down. I'm not dealing with that.

 

The rocket voltic's only freemode downside is a SLIGHT reduction in jet engine length. Apart from that, nothing has been nerfed on it.

What would you expect from the Ruiner, though? To seriously have decent armour and unlimited missiles just like that? That'd just be insane. Reckon it's fine as it is. It's pretty expensive but since you unlock the mission for it as well, seems alright to me.

Ruiner ain't fun, it is just sometimes practical because of the rockets, that is it.

 

edit: selective memory tells me that nothing except a jet can get me once i am in the hills and mountains when i got a bounty and that i had almost a week of fun with this thing were i just got myself a bounty and then just had a chase with this thing.

 

Also selective memory tells me that the only ruiner that has really notable rockets is the vip one, which then should be rightfully compared with the vip rocket voltic, which has a way better boost so far i know then the one you buy.

 

ps: Best moment to use the boost anyhow is when just having your assumingly best speed when driving up an incline, since if you use the boost when in mid air, you have more chance to f*ck up since, if you go a tad to much the left or the right when mid air, your boost will make the car go spinning in circles and few times you will cover more ground then as when you decide to activate the boost when still grounded.

It pretty much should only be done when you are simply falling of some sort of cliff or a pretty flat jump of less then a 45 degree angle.

 

On top of that, i still have to come across the first vip ruiner that can kill me in my jet...and yes, a few have tried it, worst they did was make my jet smoke and be disabled, after which i just had to shoot the driver out of his car or just get an other jet.

 

Not to mention the ruiner is in fact complete trash when i try to get away in my voltic :p

Too bad the above poster has selective memory. It appears the Voltic with a rocket on it is the one-trick pony compared to the modern reincarnation of 80s action hero KITT. Be a jack of all trades.

 

The Voltic boost doesn't even last that long and good luck trying to activate it in air. It definitely deserves to be in the top three, but it shouldn't be the winner.

Well, sheet. In an ideal world, I'd just (-1) both, and start giving (+1) to the Elegy Retro Custom, because it's the most special GTAO vehicle added with Import/Export - or just, yanno, ever. But whatever - rules is rules, so:

 

1. Rocket Voltic 29 (-2)
2. Ruiner 2000 23 (+1)


I'm honestly just 'eh, whatever' about both of them (and they're tainted by my continuing frustration about the way R* implemented the vehicle warehouses and I/E work in general), so I'm just going to prop up whichever is underdog every 24+ hours... :bored:

I get the feeling the Stirling GT will definitely be up there for its performance and eargasmic exhaust note. It's going to be difficult for me to pick between my beloved Stirling or Stinger GT, that's for sure.

Yeah I think the Stingers, the Stirling and the Casco will be strong contenders but there's also the Monroe, the Mamba and slightly oddly classified but still legit cars like the Tornado and Manana. It'll be interesting because it will probably be about beauty more than anything else and there are some real peaches in the category.
