Pacific Standard Kuruma method patched?

Spooked NPC's will not kill you easy when you are walking around in the area of the standard pacific, unless you are running and shooting in the middle of the road.

Further, the cops their accuracy is not an issue with a heavy utility vest,[...]

I was talking about spooked npcs during the ride to the canyon. And a heavy utility vest does not protect you when you get run over.

Also consider how some people find heists boring....they become in fact less boring once you start to leave that noobcube called "kuruma" more and they are far from suicidal if one uses a heavy utility vest, unless you are a complete useless sh*t that should stop even joining heists entirely.

I find it more boring to restart countles times because someone dies because of bugs or AI.

Also i find it funny how you dont like it to get forced to get in a kuruma but force everyone to not use it in your owm heist by blowing their car up. If you would do this to me, I would make sure that you wont earn any money as long as Im in your lobby.

I'm baffled by all of these Rockstar fanboys celebrating a new game limitation.

I probably defend Rockstar more than most people on this forum but these guys are ridiculous.

"Hooray! More limitations!"

That's what I look for in my sandbox games.

Feel like I'm always having to say this: I'm not a Rockstar fanboy. I have a lot of negative things to say about this game (feel free to look up my recent list of easy changes that would massively improve the game that, 3+ years later, they STILL haven't implemented).

But anyway... the argument you're making is simply a stupid one. This isn't some black-and-white thing where the ideal version of GTA is total freedom and the sh*tty version is "limitations." All games have some measure of both. GTA also has lots of both, and always has. Even the freest mode - free roam, aptly named - is rife with limitations. You can't just do whatever you want at all times. And the more they want to deliver a certain experience, the more limitations have to get involved. You can't win a car race by calling Pegasus and using your Hydra instead. You can't win Deadline by tossing prox mines all over the place. You can't fly higher than the height ceiling in any mode (not without glitching anyway). On and on and on. The idea that there is some higher standard of "no limitations" is complete bullsh*t and always has been. Of course there are limitations, and they are there to either enforce some kind of gameplay balance or make the experience better in some specific way.

I'm sorry you want to use your Kuruma on this heist finale, but they don't want you to and the heist is a lot less interesting, risky and fun if you do. So they turned off that ability. Not much more to say about that, and it's not a limitation that should really hurt the game for you, any more than hundreds of other limitations that already exist (and many of which HAVE to exist for the game to be any good, and not just a pointless chaotic clusterf*ck).

All i see are cops, at the moments most ignorant people would be dealing with both cops and loads of traffic, i am joyfully enjoying the grassland hills next to the highway :)

Bugs that cause death ?

I never experienced a bug killing me ever in the 100's of times(not joking) i did this finale, no idea what you are talking about.

How can i even blow up their car if they are inside it ?

Not possible and i never said i did, though again, to be honest, i have done that in several setups i did because kuruma drivers are the worst drivers ever and run people like me over a lot.

Also if the new info is correct, people still can use those noob cars if they want if they host and nobody patched the repeat glitch so i do not see what is the issue for anyone.

And even if not, there is a police car about 100 meters away, always, sure if the driver lacks any driving skills you might lose a few k's, but what is 20 to 40 k again ?
Can't even buy a massacro with that amount of peasant cash.

Noob cars, even though that even within the context of the game, and I'm talking narratively - using an armored car is the most logical way of going about a bank heist? The game has you stealing and using an armored Kuruma for the first heist which is set in a small local bank. Applying at least equal that amount of precautionary measures for the biggest bank heist you're undertaking seems like the obvious choice, no?

Trying to apply logic to any mission in GTA, or any aspect of GTA in general, is pointless. The game is much more akin to a dumb action movie where decisions are made and things happen simply because they're exciting. We use bikes on this mission because Rockstar wanted to make a mission where you dodge a lot of cops on motorcycles and then jump/parachute off a cliff in the end, and land in a boat. That is the whole and only reason the heist goes down this way.

Of course it's not logical and it's needlessly dangerous. We have many better tools at our disposal in free roam. But nothing about the game really makes sense. They're asking you to turn off your brain for the sake of enjoying a particular experience. And if you don't like that experience, or feel like your need to nitpick the "logic" of it outweighs your enjoyment in playing it, there are many other missions and jobs that probably make slightly more sense. Although really, the entire GTA universe is ridiculous in comparison to reality, and even the internal logic is usually lacking.

I would pick insurgent over Kuruma and then Valkyrie over Insurgent, all introduced as vehicles you use in heists.

My escape vehicle would also be a submarine, not a dinghy.

But we dont plan the heists, Lester does, you got his number so give him a call. ;)

One could say it is a plot hole in the heist narrative, all those vehicles temporarily being MIA when they're needed the most, but we'll chalk it up to a temporary case of selective amnesia on Lester's part to stay somewhat in canon. ;)

Considering he confuses us with a group he had an orgy with (iirc that's what he hints at) that is not surprising at all...

i used it in 3 mastermind runs before the glitch was well known

I'm indifferent. I appreciate easy money as much as the next guy. And I've made untold millions from hopping into the back of Giantsgiants-esque Kurumas. But, if R* decided to take measures to ensure that heists are played the way that they designed them to be played, I wouldn't be mad at all. It's one of the most lucrative jobs in the game (it was THE most lucrative job in the game before CEO work), it was never designed to be easy. Especially Kuruma glitch easy.

What's more, the glitch's existence lowered the bar sooooo f*cking far. Early on, good players could get to the boats without losing a dime. I've ridden with [plenty of] bottom rung players that lose $50k in the f*cking bullet-proof car. How TF do you lose a dime in a car that's bullet proof and can survive being launched off a cliff?

I am not joking when i say you might be well off with going PC and then sticking to single player, getting some modded vehicles in the game and just overall enjoying your stay.

I mean, if i am not mistaken you are a car guy so....:p

It's about f*cking time!

But why? It's not like this thing is allowing anybody to interfere with you in any undesirable way: heists lobbies are separated from free roam, heist are usually premeditated activities with full disclosure of further tactics. Please, I'm intrigued to know how are you affected by this apart from that unsustainable claims that getting more money breaks gameplay. The game is FUBAR in terms of balance and fair income distribution with all that assets from billionaire era, pre-nerfed payouts, various glitches like that hooker one and modded cash from character transfer.

Tested and confirmed - there's (for now) noch chance to enter the garage on Apt. 604. Neither you're Demo, Hacker or CC.

I can confirm too, that there are no helis spawning. Neither Vespucci, Hospital or Policestation roof.

I can confirm you can still hijack the armored Swatvan.

I can also confirm - it's pretty easy to complete with decent players on the Lectro.

I can also confirm - the DC-trick in the Dinghy still works to repeat the final.

My observation also shows, that there are more cops spawning running to the bikes and they're more agressive while on foot or taking a car from the street to escape generally.

Played with friends to test all the above - we all played this heist and final hundrets of times. Played the final with 3 randoms too and had the laught of the year. They won't belive what's happening and like flys flying arround "poo" they tried and tried to get into their security-lair. Epic to see them die and die again until I offered them the Swatvan-service to the Dinghy after 1h of trying and a left cut of 750k. Funny sidenote - the host (lvl 295) sets himself to 0% and shared 60% to his buddy and 20% to me and the fourth. He even forgot to DC in the end - he's done with Pac I think :)

Funny times incoming - need to read the support page on R* website now for the lol's :)

Ok, yes, it sucks, but how did people not expect this to happen eventually? It was an illegitimate method to cheese the highest paying job in the game, OF COURSE they would eventually do something about it.

Hell they nerfed Rooftop Rumble because it paid $18,000 for f*cks sake.

Well, I can say I made a nice chunk of money selling my Kuruma, Insurgent, and that apartment.

I hated owning all of them, and I myself wasn't the one needing the glitch. So that's good at least.

Do you know how to take cover?

Do you to use the Interaction Menu to access snacks and armor (and use it while seated or in cover)?

Do you have a saved outfit of the Heist armor?

Do you know how to not fall of a bike?

Do you refill your snacks (especially the drinks, not the Ps&Qs) before starting/joining a heist?

Do you know that the grenade launcher is not a "silenced weapon"?

Can you shoot effectively?

Do you know not to drive over your team mates?

If Yes, you're not a liability.

All rank-135 does is let you hold up to 10 Body Armors. 10 snack drinks absorbs more bullets than 30 Heaviest Body Armors

No I won't go read through this thread, but is there a dupe glitch that is / was getting out of hand?

If I recall, R* eliminated the ability to change the order of your bikes in your Clubhouse to prevent a previous dupe glitch from continuing. Once they patched the glitch the ability returned.

Maybe this is a consequence of them patching up a glitch that is getting out of hand.

you mean to say the Heavy Utility Vest, not heavy armor. Just want to clarify since many players don't know the heavy utility vest (bought at the clothes store) gives a big health bonus in heists & setups.

That vest makes all heists & setups easier to survive but it's not the usual heavy armor vest. Gotta know about it before joining a heist. Just thought I'd point that out since WFD1992 sounds like he may be only benefiting from regular heavy armor.

This is my new favorite topic.

While the Kuruma way felt grind-tastic, like I have to amuse myself on 9gag or GTAF while the driver uses the highway to get to the boat,

the way with the Lectro is some-what more fun.

N32fQvT.gif

I even captured the moment I dodged the wheel. "I cheated death".

3aW1IjM.jpg

It's just frustrating to do with low-rank noobs that have never heard of Utility Vests, but with 3 friends or high-rank players that actually use the chat it's easy-peasy.
