Pacific Standard Kuruma method patched?

It was nice while it lasted but please stop whining now. Play it the right way or leave it be. Not complicated.

This post is awesome and you should feel awesome. I agree 100%. Bikes are more fun IMO. Play with a sense of danger.

The ignorance is real with this post, after you have done the finale over 20 times and failed with randoms come talk to me about danger.

But heists are risky and can lead to dangerous situations. How many times have I turned back to help a heist member who was hit and surrounded by the police while the others kept fleeing. It won't work all the time but if we ride together we'll stay together. Another possibility is to split into separate roads. This works well too.

But you still don't have to use the bikes, you can steal a car.

True, but the risk factor is lower... thus less thrilling.

Maybe less thrilling for you and certain others. But others just want to make money using the most efficient way without losing that much money. That's the truth, however good or sad it can be.

Just be honest here, nobody using the Kuruma method was doing it "for fun" - they were doing it for the sole purpose of making as much money in as little time as possible. "Fun" was not part of the equation, and to a game developer, that's sort of a problem.

Non Funkable Token

Bikes are more thrilling, and I like them, so R* should patch the alternatives.

We always go back to the same selfish argument.

Logic dictates that success, with minimal loss and frustration, for me, is absolutely fun. 😏 Beyond fun, actually. 🤗 For the majority of us there is no fun to be had in death, constant restarts and abject failure. You may like that, but you have no right to force that on anyone else.

Spending hours grinding a tedious and slow chore to acquire overpriced crap that's going to make you broke again isn't fun either. So, your point?

You basically just restated my point. You don't do it for fun, you do it for money. What I'm saying is that the argument over which method is more "fun" is ENTIRELY irrelevant to the discussion. The Kuruma Method wasn't about enjoying the mission, it was about making money fast, period. So when people say "using the bikes is more fun therefore better", that comment has no place in this discussion - it is beside the point.

Conversely, when people say "the kuruma method made the mission fun!"... that's subjective, of course, but I don't buy for a second that the motivating factor in using the Kuruma method had ANYTHING to do with fun.

At the end of the day the payouts are still sh*t, even on Heists. GTA Online is one big Shark Card scam.

I'm scared for GTA 6 and GTA 6 Online. Having to pay $100.000 for a Snack is going to be so much fun!

If you have patience and skill, and you don't suck, the original method for beating the Pacific Standard Heist is easily the most fun.

It's amazing how many stupid kids have never even been able to get their motorcycles to the launch point to experience the epic finale.

stupid kids

Yep, this is the reason, for most of the time.

One time i was asked by a team, that they will pull off the heist finale in FPV on the bikes and i say let's go - the FPV on bike chasing through the bushes was intense.

Most of the time you wreck your nerves with stupid guys if you want just to complete the heist and Kuruma helped a lot in this regard, though.

I appreciated the Kuruma glitch, but also believed that the risk of losing money on the bikes is worth the reward of actually having fun and being challenged.

Why bother? I have not played the Pac heist for over half a year. You can make more cash with ceo missions.

Forced empty lobby seems to be patched, though.even if you get timed out there will always be ways to get an empty session, most likely by lowering your MTU in the router settings. R* can't patch bad connections since our ping is relative to the host we join (it's not stable). I can't imagine the increase in lost connections we'll all face if they disconnect us every time there's a lag spike. That said, I did notice an error message yesterday that I don't think I've ever seen, I'm pretty sure it was caused by a player lagging out the session so they could do CEO work peacefully.

OT: I don't really miss the Kuruma anymore. Having lots-o-fun doing it the "right" way. Still not cool of R* though. :p

I dont hack or cheat. I just get on whenever and play a bit. but why do people get butthurt over how others play this game? A heist is self contained. How that group plays it affects you zero.

If you host and have to do it the 'legit way' get on a mic and tell em no exploits or they can leave.

That said, I will agree that everything added since heists is a ripoff. You WOULD have to live on this game, and play nothing else to have anything.

Anybody have issues with the Pacific Standard Heist this past weekend on PS4? On Saturday night, my friends and I had issues restarting at the bikes after blowing them up and committing suicide. Twice consecutively, everybody hit R2 to restart and while it showed everyone hitting R2, someone would get disconnected. I don't know if there are separate servers that host the heists but something was wrong. Maybe there were a lot of people grinding the heist that night. We have not tried it since.

I think you answered your own question- someone got disconnectedim pretty sure he was asking if anyone else had the same issue. Kinda hard to answer that himself ...unless he's schizophrenic!

Yes my friends and i experienced the exact same thing sat & sun. Not sure why but im sure it never used to happen.

That's not what I was asking. I was curious if anyone else experienced problems restarting the heist this weekend from that exact same point. I've done the heist over 500 times and never have we ever experienced that problem when trying to restart at the bikes. It was odd.

I'm pretty sure everyone have had disconnects from time to time, nothing new there and probably just a coincidence that it happened at that time

Edit: I didn't have any problems doing it

Thanks. Glad to hear that we weren't the only ones. We gave up after two failed attempts. It was late. Didn't try it on Sunday. How many times did your team attempt the heist and failed at the bikes restart point from a player allegedly disconnecting? Curious if Rockstar is messing with the heist.

I wasn't trying to be a dic* with my answer and I'm sorry if it came out that way, but I really think it was usual disconnect which happens from time to time. Did the heist twice with different people each time and didn't have this problem

Yeah, especially when you are selling enough in game currency to buy a few cars for $99 of real money.

I haven't done that in awhile. I'll get my crew on the same page. Thanks again.

the same kind of error happened only once with my regular crew and one guy watched the replay to see what happened, we had all pushed restart then suddenly got disconnected as if the host left or something but we were all chatting on teamspeak, no one was losing connection at all.

Then Sunday it happened with some casual buddies and randoms a couple times, could have been something else but it was the same scenario... We all hit restart after blowing up the bikes and suiciding then got booted back to freeroam.

I was doing many heists with many people over the weekend, it didn't happen often at all but it was strange since none of us had ever experienced that before.
