Pacific Standard Kuruma method patched?

Apparently, a random mod/admin deleted my previous post because they thought of it being too cringy. Oh well. I tried giving it humor.

What are you guys f*cking masochists? This is a nightmare for just about the entire GTA community. People need to earn money the best way they can and now R* patches one of the only ways, and you enjoy the fact this is patched?

Why doesn't Rockstar just say "Hey, we've made sure you have no way of earning some proper money for buying our strategically marketed priced products so buy our shark cards, unless you want to legitimately feel like you're working for your peanuts you earn from missions? We're like Apple, we'll do whatever we like and you will still suck up to us."

It was a breeze and we could just do it over and over, but Rockstar doesn't like people earning real money. And I can speak on behalf of a major part of the GTA community from people's reception when playing online. Lucky are those that had mods back on PS3 to get billions.

Now I just seem to do those CEO missions end on end (except for that 10 minute break!) and reaching barely a mil per day.

I guess this pertains to the phrase "This is why we can't have nice things".

Thank you Rockstar, you corporate shysters. How little joy you bring with the DLC that is awesome for a few days, yet how much misery you burden us gamers with.

God, please let this be a troll post. No real human being can be this whiney. Just take the bikes or the cop car, and do the heist. It takes the same amount of time or less than the Kuruma.

Jesus man. Just man the f*ck up. It isn't a "nightmare" in the slightest. The fact that this thread has gone on this long about such an insignifigant thing astonishes me.

It is weird as f*ck that they patched it after this long, sure I will agree to that, but it isn't a big deal. At all.

But whatever, I've said my thoughts. Carry on gents.

Does not surprise me.

This community already often moans when rockstar patches things that are obvious glitches.

Now they just went and patched a thing some people never believed was a glitch out of nowhere.

Add to that that some scrubs have actually bought both the sh*tty property and car just for this and that moaning of heists being to hard(lol) has persisted over the whole period heist have been released and the fact most people doing this trick were getting cocky and believed themselves to be heist pro's and o so smart for knowing this trick,...well...let's just say i see this moanfest still going on for a long time :)

There are tons of other ways to do heists that have never been patched... so yours is a moot point.

Rockstar only patched this so people would buy more shark cards.

It's made up nonsense. If Rockstar cared about shark cards that much it would have been patched 1 week after they learned of it.

Strongly disagree when people complain about heists being dead.

I still get heist invites way more than any other mission invites.

There are many new players, players coming back and some players just still enjoy doing them.

Most people do not know the other ways:)

I do agree that cash cards were probably the main reason this one was patched though.

The kuruma trick was not a thing like the heavy utility trick was 1 year ago...everyone used kurumas.

Edit: technicaly its 'almost' everyone....but you get the point i hope.

Wow, what has this thread come to? It's patched. Get over it. And if you're one of those people who are like "oh, well it's a glitch, you plebs should try it without the glitch for once", just stop.

OT: R* have a lot of angry fans to deal with now, lol. But seriously, it's weird that they took all this time to patch it. It was fun while it lasted.

Kill hostages. Get NOOSE called. Do the run like normal, respawn, blow up bikes and have someone run and get a Riot Van. It works. Pain the arse, but it works.

it was pretty harmless to begin with, theres not much to believe why else they wouldn't patch it than to reduce money making efficiency to look more towards shark cards, its not a far fetched thing to think about at all, we also have more game breaking glitches that can ruin your experience, all which have yet to be patched, But hey it's crazy to think of it like this for some people for some reason, I don't when the priorities aren't even set right from the looks of it

Why not just use a police car, I just did it about 30 mins ago with one, just get to the bikes, blow up then grab one of the cop cars that pulls up.

Simple.

Only reason to use swat van is for extreme low levels who would get shot and fie in any regular vehicle.

Blasterman4EVER

There's another thread that has a similar title but I think the other thread refers to the glitch where you turn off the app at the very end of the heist after getting in the dingy.

This thread refers to using the Kuruma. Which isn't really a glitch, IMO, so the title is misleading.

Edit: GTAF staff have since changed the title

I did Pac Stand with a friend about an hour or so ago. Both he and I tried the Kuruma method and was met with message that it was unavailable.

Did it the ol' fashioned way.

If it was patched, it was a glitch.

It's fascist for the forum moderators to change the title to method rather than glitch.

About Heist Glitch getting patched:

I was discussing this with a friend... Rockstar knew about the glitch since a long time, that's why since Ill Gotten Gains DLC everything has been so expensive, cause they knew ppl made money fast cause of the glitch... so what if they patched it cause they think people don't need to make money fast anymore cause there will be no more DLCs?

I see this as the only logical explanation.

Or else why patch it now unless people don't need it anymore?

Cause like I said they've known about it for a while but they let it exist... The end of DLCs would also justify the mysterious free 250k... A sort of "Goodbye and thanks for sticking around" gift from GTA.

That $250K was just R* lubing us up before they shafted us all with the pac standard patch

Next DLC will be the biggest yet with the most enticing content, Rockstar are preparing a big announcement next week that will align with the Take-Two earnings call for shareholders coming up shortly after

Edit: if you haven't got the hint by now, R* really REALLY wants you to buy shark cards

Do you have any insider information? Or is this just an educated guess?

Furthermore like I've said, they've known about it for a year and a half or even two, therefore the damage has already been done, so again, I fail to see the logical explanation for this patch if there's 2-3 DLCs left in GTAO's lifecycle unless this was the last DLC...

I'm just guessing here and trying to think logically

But if you know something I don't then please feel free to share ;)

You'll carry on playing though wont you?

Because a lot of gta players do the pac repeat glitch. And now they need to change their tactics and need at least some skills (bike, noose car..).

It will blow over but boy, if they fix the repeat glitch... it will be ugly!

I can't hear it anymore: there are better ways do make money, if you have skills. Look in my signature.

The real (repeat) glitch still works, as far as u know. That is the thing making the Pacific more profitable than anything.

But if you take glitching as viable option for you, than every car dube glitch leaves the pac standard in the dust.

So go, just do that. I really hope they fix the repeat glitch.

Well I can effortlessly earn 1.5m a day without needing anyone else...I prefer this to the tedium of the repeat glitch in a kuruma.

Just combine VIP work and car sales...it's so easy.

I've saved around 8.5m in a week.

I never knew about that repeat glitch, so it wouldn't have an affect on me, im not really into abusing things with glitches which is why i probably don't even know about it (plus i hear horror stories of rockstar doing things to people doing that), the kuruma method though didn't appear like a glitch to me, all you do is enter in your own garage and take your own car. Plus i never herd of rockstar punishing anyone for that.

I usually ignore the random invites. Haven't done the the Pacific Standard in a while cause it felt like a grind.

I convinced some friends to try it out the old-fashioned way for the first time and it was so fun. Then I did it with some randoms and it wasn't that fun.

That being said, lemme plug something real quick:

Maaaan I just tried doing this exploit about a hr ago with some randoms because I was bored and wanted to give some people money taking the 0%, damn I guess I played myself with that one cuz the random let me know they patched the sh*t when I was trying to get my car. R* patching the garage part is idiotic to me, y not just patch the whole thing cuz u still kill urself and respawn near the bikes..and I get that some people would like to do it how its supposed to be done, I've done it with the bikes with hardly any problems before but y ruin it for the people who want to explore the other options of finishing the heist, its easy cash, and you can maintain idiots who don't know what theyre doing during the finale ..

P.s. after finding out R* patched the sh*t the payout ended up at $700,000 and I'm pretty sure it would of been less if I didn't quit ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, oh well..

I can confirm, finale is still exploitable. You can still glitch out the police, you can still teleport via suicide on PC. Although. I'm pretty sure it's still doable on consoles too. And of course you can replay the finale all the time you want if you're careful enough, on PC with SSD it's even easier.
