Wonder if it's just another recruitment/PR thing as part of the more 'trade show' side of Gamescom, or if this might actually be when they start revealing details about the game in earnest. Oh, and if anyone's seen this (the random theory going around the "Metahero" NFT community that the planned "Metahero Universe" game is actually now going to be Everywhere, and that BaRB has retooled the original concept to now be about these "metaheroes"), it's clearly and obviously complete nonsense, lol: Really giving baseless GTA VI speculation a run for its money, there! That said, if they were planning on revealing the game at Gamescom, while I wouldn't expect it to show up during Opening Night Live on Tuesday (for various reasons), I'd say odds would be better for Wednesday, during GamesRadar's Future Games Show: Edited August 21 by Commander S MightyMax

Spider-Vice
It looks like the logo is painted all around the venue according to, well, Chris Klippel, but he's there so no way to fake this one. Also, for those who still think it's not a VR game, their job listings on GameDeveloper.com mention it in the company profile: MightyMax, Commander S and American Venom 2 1 let your hopes and dreams turn into burning fire! Spider-Vice
That looked like kind of a copy of Core, a metaverse game very similar to Everywhere that has all kinds of styles, player-created worlds and game modes, etc. They were hiring for blockchain and crypto stuff a while back, and the description reeks of metaverse too... I wasn't interested from the beginning, so for those interested, enjoy I guess Emmi, Zello, Eternal Moonshine and 1 other 1 3 let your hopes and dreams turn into burning fire! Perfect example of that from a couple of years ago, from the company that was palling around on the Everywhere tour bus back then: Yannerrins
Jason
It's exactly what we expected it to be. Two worlds, single player "real world" and the online VR Chat/Second Life/PS Home/Roblox virtual world with cartoony graphics. The cherry on top is how they were very deliberately avoiding using certain buzzwords because they know exactly how that would go down. I wish them luck, cause I think they'll need it. big_man, H-G, Emmi and 4 others 2
Commander S
FWIW, that's definitely Mafia 3's Alex Hernandez in the real-world (?) part of the trailer: (lol, pulled that pic from one of those 'characters and their voice actors' videos on YouTube, but it's giving off major "Revolver Ocelot (Revolver Ocelot [Revolver Ocelot] ) vibes...! ) Spoiler Edited August 24 by Commander S Yannerrins, BadaBing_1996, NightmanCometh96 and 1 other

This is the big problem right now. The trailer showed a sh*t ton of things at once, something that looks like more of an idea dump than an organised game, and then the dev interviews was just a flurry of buzzwords and coyness. No one knows what the actual hell this is supposed to be, but there's a few good red flags up in the air - first the job listings for Blockchain and Ethereum (a crypto coin...), now the actual look of the game being metaverse-like... e.g. Spoiler I don't mean to shame the actual hard-working devs behind this, any work done on a game is hard work whether it's good or not, but... this seems messy. Space Cowboy
Too bad they didn't elaborate on how exactly will this thing with 2 artstyles work. Either way, gameplay-wise it seems to incorporate a lot more elements from GTA than I initially thought, even though this is clearly not a crime game or really a GTA competitor at all. It could potentially flop or be very successful, but I am more leaning towards a flop at this moment. The NFT/blockchain integration is just one of the red flags. That's literally what they're doing with this except they seem to be tacking on a bespoke single player experience on top of that. More precisely, it sounds a bit more 'bespoke assets' than Roblox, which almost leans towards a kind of 'my first game engine' for young wannabe developers (although not to the extent of something like Dreams). I'd probably rank it somewhere thusly: - An actual game engine - Dreams - Roblox - Everywhere's 'virtual world' creative modes - Forza Horizon's EventLab - GTAO's Rockstar Creator So, like with EventLab, not only are the creative maps designed as open-ish spaces to place various props and whatnot (some of which can be pulled from the realistic real-world portion, where the more scripted narrative bits take place), they'll also function as bog-standard maps for dev-created modes (again, like how the "Evolving World" aspect of FH5 works, and how Playground turned the stadium into a stunt park for a month). So again, more creative freedom than something like a user-created Stunt Race in GTAO, but not as open as Roblox, and presumably more things for players who don't just want to create things or play other's creations, and just want to play 'official' activities (like that music-based minigame found in the patents a while back).
